    I've been eating cheap GMO oranges my whole life, until I got into Iraq. The first ever organic orange I had was half the size and darker in color and belive me nothing tasted better. Most of the food there is organic and I can't belive I've been shoving rubish into my mouth my entire life.

    • @Hisham0099
      @Hisham0099 8 лет назад +8

      I moved from Iraq to the US few years back, until then I didn't know how tasteless fruits and vegetables can be. and believe me that was the hardest thing to adjust too. I truly feel bad for people who never knew how fruits actually taste, I'm glad you got the chance to experience that, as I feel it will be impossible to do so in few years.

      NastyAutist there is, but the price is always an ussue plus it is not the same, you can grow as much organic food as you want but the seeds have came from the same source, unless you can eat food preduced from seeds that the farmers kept through generation then at the end you still eating the same thing but has been grown using a diffrent method.

    Ik zie dat jullie veel banana produceren.
    Eten jullie dat de stam ook bruik baar is.
    Ik he b 3 systemen
    1 De stam wordt gebruikt voor het boeren van huisdieren.
    Stam fijn kappen in over van koppen reden envi en harken als voer.
    De beesten worden snel groot en zwaar.
    Maar er is meer dat men met de stam kan doen.😊😊😊

Ugandan & Australian scientists are leading efforts to Genetically Modify Banana but this is still largely at experimental stage and is not likely to hit the market for another 4-5 years

    • @drivesthecar3247
      @drivesthecar3247 9 лет назад +3

      +Duy Phan The way I understand it, they harvest banana when it is green so it is stronger and tough, so it can be handled during transport to market.
      And during that time it will ripen, so when the customer finally buys it it will be yellow.
      If they wait to harvest when they are yellow, the bananas will be black by the time they reach market and no one will buy them.

    • @tubermier
      @tubermier 8 лет назад

      +Duy Phan I'm sure they leave their personal bananas on the tree longer to ripen. Commercial ones need to ripen over time on the way to the supermarket. you can't afford to hold onto ripening bananas, gotta move em green.

    • @tubermier
      @tubermier 8 лет назад

      I'm sure the banana industry has been growing the right varieties for commercial sale, that ripen over a few days. Maybe each of us will look for a vid showing them ripening on a tree.
