For someone with tile and two rugs, and a lot of pet hair, that also needs a great mop: L20 Ultra, x30, or Eufy Omni? I have decision fatigue. I did preorder so can get the x30 for $1249.
Dreame just released an even newer version "X40" on their German website! - New corner and edge cleaning technology. The side brush now swings out into the corners and cleans around edges (possibly slightly under furniture). This is the feature I have been waiting for thus very excited about it. - It can lift the side brush and main brush during wet mopping - Dirt sensor to re-mop when necessary - Even hotter mop pad washing system than the X30 - 12,000 Pascal suction (insane) My guess is that they rushed it out to compete with the new Roborock flagship "S8 MaxV" since that one is coming out this month (the S8 MaxV also has that robotic arm to swing out the brush). Both of these Flagship models seem to be the best vac robots ever built. Can't wait to get one of the two! I purchased the L10 a couple months ago and have been blown away at its performance. For the features and price difference going to a newer model I think its an exceptional value still. Figured I'd try this one and if all goes well I'll splurge for a higher end model in a year or so. They sure are cranking out new models quickly.
I got the older Z10 Pro and I'm very happy with the performance, but I would like a complete setup with mopping.. Dunno if I should wait for an L40/X40 minimum, or the 50 series at Black Friday in 2025 😅
Just bought an L20 3 weeks ago. Never worked as it should from day 1. Wouldn't mop without dropping one of it's mop heads. Customer service has been average/slightly above average so far. Shipped off my unit and now I'm waiting for it's replacement. It did vacuum my house really well (without the mop heads attached)
I have an L20 and X30 and love them both. The best on the market. They joined an X1 Omni. I tried an X2 Omni, but ultimately returned it due to terrible navigation. Dreame also the most confusing naming conventions. They also trickle new models to markets at different times. Tankless systems are available on their website, but nothing in North America yet. My biggest issue is the inability to change the parameters of a clean job after it has started. Ecovacs Deebots are still the best for that.
I have the ls10 ultra and at least to there credit they ask for permission/make you opt in to it regarding the “security” mode that you can see the camera moving around. It is used for obstacle avoidance so it still could be a privacy issue
Just bought a new house with a majority of the home having hardwood floors and some rooms with medium pile carpet. I"m hoping to use the Bona hardwood cleaning solution with the mop function. I'm trying to decide on a vacuum and mop combo robot for around $1000. Right now the Dream L20 Ultra is on sale for $900, the roborock S8 Pro Ultra on sale for $999 and the roborock Q Revo for $750, which of these would be the best for this use case?
Can you please include height of the robovacs in your reviews? A lot of these newer ones seem to be getting taller and taller, so they no longer fit under furniture. What is the point of a robovac that cannot clean under objects that a regular vacuum can?
It would be really cool if you included performance with mirrors from floor level e.g. on the wall I just had to return mine L10s ultra, cause it performed terribly. My kitchen cabinets have mirror plinths and the robot behaved strangely, turning in cicrles, and not cleaning entire kitchen floor. Same was in bedroom where 2 of my wardrobe doors have mirrors on them starting at floor level. And as far as I know, no one talks about this
Just a wild guess, but I bet they launched the L30 to clear backed up inventory that could still be reboxed/badged as a way to get a bump in return (the "new model" bump). The remaining L20's were probably already in the supply channel.
Would you be able to recommend a good robot vac that is good for high carpet? None of our Roborock (Q, S7, gen 2) were able to perform well, my Dyson Animal does a much better job for our 2nd floor carpets, but I really don't have the time to vacuum it so often.
Hi Vaccum Wars. I have been reading quite a bit of bad reviews about the after sales support of Dreame. I am going through analysis paralysis right now because customer service is a important factor for me. Can you please shed some light on this if you have some data?
There is an x40 ultra coming out soon. I love my S8 Max v ultra but it's flexi-arm currently doesn't do anything unless you set full cleaning. It's also missing a pre-filter in the dust bin. Other than that I'm really enjoying it and I hope they can fix it in the software
I’m so glad you made this video! I will not buy a vacuum or mop unless I watch your videos lol I was looking at one of these vs the eufy or narwal have you done a review on the narwal at all?
My L20 Ultra was great for a little over a month, then it had a cliff sensor go bad which prevents the robot from moving and cannot be overridden. The support has been less than ideal. I sent the robot back end of January and still in black hole of getting a replacement. They approved a replacement to be sent February 22nd and since then it's just "we are waiting on shipping information."
Hi. Could you please explain why the L20 being the best robot of 2023, according to your tests, it doesn't appear in your Best Robot Vacuums list? Thank you.
I think it would be a good idea, when you talk about average scoring, to mention both the overall average and the in-price-range average, since I would assume every flagship vacuum is better than average, but I might be interested in knowing by how much, and if it's better than the average of competitors Anyways, great video as always!
Do you think being able to directly connect the docking station to a source of clean water and a way to evacuate the dirty one, like under the sink, right next to the washing machine, would be something worthy of consideration, for the brands who make that kind of vacuum?
Bought the L20 ultra about 2 months ago. The auto empty can't empty dog hair effectively. It fails even if the dustbin is less than 20% full of hair. I would avoid and research this function carefully if you have pets.
Only thing I don’t like about the L20 is that it really only detects carpet during mapping mode. Afterwards you need to place the carpet area on the app for it to know it’s there. I wish it could just constantly detect the carpet so if it moves a bit the vacuum doesn’t wet it. Also the vacuum seems to drag certain carpets up with the front bristles or the mop pads and gets stuck at times. Other than these two caveats the vacuum has been great.
Hey Vaccum Wars. Here's a unique video suggestion. Why not do a "Privacy Comparison" of all the major vacuum brands that is on top of your list? And see which of which, takes care of yout home mapping data the most? And which are dubious at best?

@VacuumWars thank you, I see roborock is the best when it comes to pet hair, I have a roomba j7 and it's always tangled and doesn't vacuum right, spend more time maintaining it than just using a stick vacuum lol
@@VacuumWars what you should test more extensively is how much hair the vacuums are able to auto empty. My L20 can't even empty the dog hair from one room vacuumed daily and I am super dissappointed in the machine for this reason.
Thanks for the great review! What about the costs following after purchasing? Do I need to exchange the sensors and brushes twice a year, even if these are still fine?
can you do a review of irobot's new roomba, because as someone who wants one, it's honestly kinda doozy. it was sold on amazon only for a year under the name "irobot combo" and no one was talking about it. it vanished off the internet and now it's been sold everywhere as the new "roomba combo essential" so i'm assuming the one on amazon was a test launch or smt. anyway in irobots comments on youtube, they are replying to people's comments calling the 600 series a "fossil" even though it's still kinda being sold? and from other comments i'm assuming they are trying to make it replace the 600 series, which is a shame cause its been on sale in different forms for like 15 years, but this one is so strange.. it looks NOTHING like a roomba and it only had one brush which is unheard of for irobot. it does zigzags and it's super cheap but how is it better than the 600?
The L10s was the flagship 2 generations ago... its further dropped in price, but its missing features like the edge mopping (although it did get the twist to get closer update as well), has smaller tanks, a less powerful vacuum, worse battery, etc.
We have that in the studio now. It may take a week or two, but it's in the works. It has done well so far - ranking pretty high on our Top 20 - vacuumwars.com/best-vacuum-cleaners/robot-vacuums/ Thank you for asking.
Frankly the sub-75% carpet deep cleaning score is low enough that it makes the pickup ability of these robots a bit suspect. Seems odd it was skipped over so quickly and not highlighted at the end, but rather downplayed. I’d expect the channel to also be critical in it’s content, not only sell and praise products, wether they deserve it or not.
ironically, robot vacuum future is robot mops. thing is, robot vacs too weak for carpet. The Eufy S1 Pro is very good robot mop but pricey. There are now two robot mops designed like cordless wet vacuums.
I wonder if Roborock and Dreame are actually the same company, they launch almost identical machines all the time or they have the world's worst security around their company secrets, they leak like a sieve.

Where are the comments…. Only 5.
Can you find a Tristar to review?
I see that after sale services and availability of parts are limited more than anyother manufacturer
can you do a review of irobot's new roomba, because as someone who wants one, it's honestly kinda doozy. it was sold on amazon only for a year under the name "irobot combo" and no one was talking about it. it vanished off the internet and now it's been sold everywhere as the new "roomba combo essential" so i'm assuming the one on amazon was a test launch or smt. anyway in irobots comments on youtube, they are replying to people's comments calling the 600 series a "fossil" even though it's still kinda being sold? and from other comments i'm assuming they are trying to make it replace the 600 series, which is a shame cause its been on sale in different forms for like 15 years, but this one is so strange.. it looks NOTHING like a roomba and it only had one brush which is unheard of for irobot. it does zigzags and it's super cheap but how is it better than the 600?
Ok vacuum wars. It’s time you start reviewing robot mowers. Start with dreame a1 that was released this month!
You planing/working on a Roborock S8MaxV review?
I'm also curious about the non-v version! It's like $400 cheaper!
Price?
When will you do the eufy pro s1? Mach
We are working on that review right now and expect to release it this Friday. Thank you for asking!
Can it smell and detect dog or cat shit and shut down immediately without dragging it all over the house?
Need bagless bins in the flagship level. Then I'll gonna buy one.
Are you going to add the Dyson robot to the schedule?
We hope to.
We are finishing our review of the Dyson Vis Nav 360 today! Come back tomorrow at 4PM EST for our full review!
Dreame's product lineup is all over the map. What happened to the L10s?
The L10s was the flagship 2 generations ago... its further dropped in price, but its missing features like the edge mopping (although it did get the twist to get closer update as well), has smaller tanks, a less powerful vacuum, worse battery, etc.
Did they just announce the X40 Ultra?

when dream l40 ultra. test?
We have that in the studio now. It may take a week or two, but it's in the works. It has done well so far - ranking pretty high on our Top 20 - vacuumwars.com/best-vacuum-cleaners/robot-vacuums/ Thank you for asking.
X40 is out since yesterday, why not presenting it?

Frankly the sub-75% carpet deep cleaning score is low enough that it makes the pickup ability of these robots a bit suspect.
Seems odd it was skipped over so quickly and not highlighted at the end, but rather downplayed. I’d expect the channel to also be critical in it’s content, not only sell and praise products, wether they deserve it or not.
Didn't they just release an x40??
Only in China won’t hit anywhere else till 25 probably maybe winter 24 for EU and 25 for US.
@@soaringspoonx40 will launch in germany april 9th i think

Integrity.
Is your voice AI in this video?
Nope.
ironically, robot vacuum future is robot mops. thing is, robot vacs too weak for carpet. The Eufy S1 Pro is very good robot mop but pricey. There are now two robot mops designed like cordless wet vacuums.
S8 maxv ultra
I wonder if Roborock and Dreame are actually the same company, they launch almost identical machines all the time or they have the world's worst security around their company secrets, they leak like a sieve.
Do not trust Dreame at all. Really poor customer service even pre-sales. Went with the Roborock Revo and perfectly happy with it
Trust the science, BTW!
Imagine what else they are doing for money! :D
What about putting fake poo in object avoidance test? My biggest fear as a cat owner
