For me it is the SOUL in his voice that for me never fails to paint a serene, calm, picture, a place that evokes a sense of warmth happiness and love. 1973. I was still a little kid, but I remember hearing this song back then on the radio station my parents listened to. It was Denver's first number one in the US. "Take Me Home, Country Roads" is still my favorite song of his, but this one is a close second.

Thank you for your reaction, Faye, to this great John Denver track! He was a real giant of the industry back in the 1970's prior to his untimely demise, RIP. More John Denver songs you must react to are "Annie's Song" and "Rocky Mountain High"! Also, if you would like to try something fun in a reaction video one day I would invite you to do a video reacting to two very different versions of the same song! You could try the song "Hooked On A Feeling" and listen first to the version by BJ Thomas and then listen to the rendition of Blue Swede! It would make a very cool and interesting comparison!!
