I ended up cheesing it by quickly grabbing the connector as soon as the fan turned on (standing on a cube for more height), after minutes of attempts. Never knew you could literally just grab it from your clone, I guess the title of the puzzle is a hint to that, but that's still ridiculous either way given this just isn't an established mechanic at all

I swear to god I was trying to grab the connector from hands, but it didn't work, ended up doing the same way as you did

The second I read this comment I got pissed and figured it out immediately. Completely forgot about that mechanic. I think I did it once in the base game? Annoying

I didn't realize, that you could give the connector to your second being.
I cheesed it by stand on the box on the same time with the connector and jumped quickly to the upper ground. you can do this for a very short amount of time. Then, you can easily grab the connector from the flying box.
But, to be fair, I was sure, it wasn't the intended strat! Thats why I was looking for the solution 😁😁.

I just wrote the same thing! The issue is the option to 'take connector' doesn't appear when looking down at the other robot (who is standing on the box with the connector) so I assumed I was too high up!

I had no idea I could actually take the connector from the other robot standing on the box because when I tried this, there was no option to 'take connector' from him, just to 'take control' so I did it (after many attempts) by just timing it right and managing to go up on the floating box with connector and take it from the platform that way. Looks like that was a cheese! Had the option 'take connector' been implemented correctly I would have finished it quicker.

I was playing it on Portuguese and the translation for the name of the puzzle was "a little help", not helping hand (mão amiga ou mão ajudante). So I ended up stealing a cube from another puzzle and sneaking in so solving it was very easy. But I only did it because I thought I needed "a little help" from another nearby puzzle. Fuck it, never thought the biggest puzzle was the translation. I'm changing it back to English right now.
