I'm not sure how I feel about this. I am a Coach hybrid shopper for sure. I do enjoy shopping both the retail and outlet. My hope is that they don't change outlet prices too drastically. I love the outlet for their affordable slg's. Thanks for sharing ❤❤
I started to see outlet bags at a retail store in Orlando last year, and it really got me thinking about the blending of outlet and retail. On one hand, I can see the upside-outlets are so much more accessible, and for people who don’t live near a Coach boutique, being able to get retail pieces at an outlet is a huge convenience. But at the same time, it might make the distinction between the two less clear for people who aren’t frequent Coach customers, leaving them unsure about where to find certain items or what quality to expect. I’m curious to see how this shift will evolve, as accessibility is great, but I can see how it can be confusing for new customers trying to distinguish between retail and outlet.

That large Rowan is a super deal!!! Yes, they put some good leather on that bag! Yes, the prices for Coach is going up. I’m remember when outlet pieces were 75 and 80% off, now they are 50 and 60% off.

I’ve always seen retail at my outlets especially in Wisconsin, as we didn’t have a Coach retail store for many years. We still don’t have a retail store, it didn’t do well. The only place you could find retail Coach was at Macy’s. Tfs 💕
@RobinCookie: Agreed! It was like that here in Ohio. Macy’s no longer has coach in their stores. Coach is on the Macy’s website but not in store. I have to go to Dillards now to see coach in person. Also, couch boutique stores have closed. I was so disappointed ☹️. We have one more coach boutique in the area that is 45 minutes away. Yes, that boutique is selling outlet items. It’s in the back by the sale items.

I am not getting a strong leather smell from it. It is faint but it hasn't discouraged me from keeping the bag. I don't usually make as many purchases from the outlet as I do retail unless I am shopping the reserve section. I can't wait to see how it wears. It is my first Rowan I have 3 of the Ruby style from retail and I am considering looking for one more. I agree that both the outlet and retail are continuously drawing us to make purchases. I stop putting myself on a no buy restriction. I can't be trusted. 🤣😂I keep teasing that my wish list is increasing instead of decreasing. It is all in fun. Sis your lipstick 💖💖💖 Now about the brand…. I’m warming up to the idea of the merger. We noticed it a while back with the Mint x Serf collection, then the floral. Since then, I’ve slowed down on my purchases with Coach. Feels like I’ve been playing the waiting game to catch a sale, but nowadays it’s hard to predict. The website was a bit confusing as well. With Coach, Coach Outlet and Coachtopia under one umbrella…navigating the site takes more time. The reserve section needs a little work too. I guess we just have to get acclimated to the changes. It won’t stop me from shopping, but it has definitely slowed down my purchases. Great video Sis. Thanks for keeping us informed.🥰

This was a great breakdown J! I noticed the app site having tabs for both retail and outlet the other day too. I feel like Coach is just elevating their brand to make it synonymous with luxury. Offering a much better price option for us as consumers as they see the top high end brands making multiple price increases a year. I think they are stepping into the space left behind by those brands. The designs are super relatable and elevated. The whole NY line was exceptional to me. ❤

Shout out to to their creative and leadership teams because it is not easy to transition an organization into new territory while managing public relations and shifting their public image. I’ve definitely noticed this too. I’m primarily a Coach retail shopper. I was surprised by the tan large Rowan the color is pretty much exactly like retail. Retail signature was always light C darker background and the outlet was dark C light background. I prefer the retail signature so I’m excited about getting my hands on the new large Rowan soon. They definitely have me looking at the outlet pieces a lot more. I’m here for streamlining both and I expect a price increase from the merger but hopefully they will keep some pieces closer to outlet prices

Thanks for the review on this topic. Yes I’ve noticed the website and stores they have now are a mix of outlet and boutique bags. I have not seen the boutique having an outlet bags yet. Personally I would not mind since outlets are a drive for me. I do like them separate or how it used to be preferably due price points. It’s ok to have the retail bags in the outlet but if it’s already on sale. If you think about it.. people go to the outlet to save money. So shocking them with these retail bags that are not even on sale kind of throws some people off.. I get that they want to reach out to more People but it may confuse some. TFS ❤

It sounds to me like Coach is going to phase out their outlets. The retail prices are inching up to those of designer brands. Coach is striving to become more exclusive and discounts/outlets are considered "cheapening" of the brand. I would hate to see it, but...🤷🏾♀️

I’m not far from the retail or outlet store so I’ve been seeing the integration and it’s very nice. The S.A told me it’s to make it easier for customers to see the best sellers from both retail and outlet if they don’t live close to either or.

I love your lipstick! I live by three retail stores (DMV) and haven't seen any outlet bags. I also can't believe that motif charm almost doubled in price. I got both the outlet and retail motif charms and the outlet charm is considerably thinner and less weighty than the retail charm. It should be the $59 I paid and not $98. I may have to curb my Coach spending if they continue to cut quality corners like this by merging outlet and retail designs.

Thank you sis!!! I think it definitely was a price test. I'm ok with the merger as long as we keep reasonable prices, but slight increases may help me finally slow down. Entry level pieces are the key to keeping everyone happy! This lipstick is discontinued from a quick search. It's Oh La La liquid lipstick by Coloured Rain. I'm shocked to see the company might be out of business....or not stocking lipstick at this time.
I started noticing outlet increase prices on some accessories the day after they were dropped. Like you mentioned that bag chain charm. you basically had to shop the day of the drop to get the lower price. I saw the camo wristlet was listed for 88 for a few days then went back down for the accessory sale currently going on. The outlet prices is bad for those that were looking to the outlet for the pricing vs retail. Some do not ever shop retail so the outlet was their jam. It is definitely merging faster than I thought. The signature print pieces, I agree if you need anything to match prior pieces grab them now. Love your look today. Very cute tfs and enjoyed the video

I’m about to give an unpopular opinion. Coach lost their status the moment they started wanting to be Walmart Rollback prices of the fashion industry. You can’t go from the average bag costing $250 40 years ago to now mostly costing $99-$149 in 2020 and up. I’m a couponer and I hunt for a bargain. Their designs offer quality from a Niche brand’s style. The quilted Tabby 26 at $550 is an affordable option to an $11K handbag so no it doesn’t need to ever go on sale at 50% off nor make an outlet version because the bag itself is a huge discounted option of the Chanel 11.12 Flap. I do hope they phase out the outlets or do like Dooney outlets and carry only retail styles.

Hey sis great video I was just in my Coach Outlet store and you hit everything on the head. I think Coach is heading to Luxury real soon. I've noticed the price increase on items and the color changes as well. I do like some of the new color changes but some I will have to get used to. I noticed to that a lot of City totes are taking a longer time to go on sale as well and the nolita19 are selling out super fast. Yes! YES! YES! To all of what you are saying. I have seen the writing on the wall since 2021 when the new CEO took over and then when Coach Tapestry began to buyout Micheal Kors, Kate Spade and a top designer. As a collector of all these brands for 20 years, I knew since Tick Toc and the way LV has had a clutch hold on buying out Tiffany and other brands, Coach has became popular with their streamlined silouettes and the under 30 generations have taken notice. I am glad I am not the only one who noticed the outlet pieces are becoming rare and they are no longer have those special weekend sales as much. Coach is trying to become more luxe which is why I am trying to buy upcoming pieces before they HIT IN PRICES without any sales. We have been spoiled for the past 10 years with their prices and discounts. I seen the change with the Rogues. They said no more mistakes with discounting quality handbags eith various leathers. IT IS GETTING REAL😮

I was at the outlet earlier this year. They had a puffy retail tabby bag. I thought that I hit the lottery 😂😂😂😂. That ended when the sales person stated it was full price. I was heated.

Thanks for the review on this topic. Yes I’ve noticed the website and stores they have now are a mix of outlet and boutique bags. I have not seen the boutique having an outlet bags yet. Personally I would not mind since outlets are a drive for me. I do like them separate or how it used to be preferably due price points. It’s ok to have the retail bags in the outlet but if it’s already on sale. If you think about it.. people go to the outlet to save money. So shocking them with these retail bags that are not even on sale kind of throws some people off.. I get that they want to reach out to more

It sounds to me like Coach is going to phase out their outlets. The retail prices are inching up to those of designer brands. Coach is striving to become more exclusive and discounts/outlets are considered "cheapening" of the brand. I would hate to see it, but...🤷🏾♀️

I’m not far from the retail or outlet store so I’ve been seeing the integration and it’s very nice. The S.A told me it’s to make it easier for customers to see the best sellers from both retail and outlet if they don’t live close to either or.

Love this conversation! I've noticed this too. My local store in Cleveland actually combined retail and outlet. It was originally a retail store, but now you can buy either there. I like being able to get everything in one place, but I do worry that this means they will raise prices overall. Awesome video and very informative!

I love your lipstick! I live by three retail stores (DMV) and haven't seen any outlet bags. I also can't believe that motif charm almost doubled in price. I got both the outlet and retail motif charms and the outlet charm is considerably thinner and less weighty than the retail charm. It should be the $59 I paid and not $98. I may have to curb my Coach spending if they continue to cut quality corners like this by merging outlet and retail designs.

I noticed that increase with the chain with swagger charms…it went to $89🙅🏽♀️ wonder if they were testing it out in comparison to the retail for $95. I think it would be nice to have ONE COACH and have the entry pieces like you stated. It’s almost the same way ppl view LV and the NF. Thank you sis!!! I think it definitely was a price test. I'm ok with the merger as long as we keep reasonable prices, but slight increases may help me finally slow down. Entry level pieces are the key to keeping everyone happy! This lipstick is discontinued from a quick search. It's Oh La La liquid lipstick by Coloured Rain. I'm shocked to see the company might be out of business....or not stocking lipstick at this time.

I started noticing outlet increase prices on some accessories the day after they were dropped. Like you mentioned that bag chain charm. you basically had to shop the day of the drop to get the lower price. I saw the camo wristlet was listed for 88 for a few days then went back down for the accessory sale currently going on. The outlet prices is bad for those that were looking to the outlet for the pricing vs retail. Some do not ever shop retail so the outlet was their jam. It is definitely merging faster than I thought. The signature print pieces, I agree if you need anything to match prior pieces grab them now. Love your look today. Very cute tfs and enjoyed the video
I totally agree DJ! Girl that initial camo wristlet price was too high! I really think some of these prices are customer tests to see how many will buy at a certain price point. I’m about to give an unpopular opinion. Coach lost their status the moment they started wanting to be Walmart Rollback prices of the fashion industry. You can’t go from the average bag costing $250 40 years ago to now mostly costing $99-$149 in 2020 and up. I’m a couponer and I hunt for a bargain. Their designs offer quality from a Niche brand’s style. The quilted Tabby 26 at $550 is an affordable option to an $11K handbag so no it doesn’t need to ever go on sale at 50% off nor make an outlet version because the bag itself is a huge discounted option of the Chanel 11.12 Flap. I do hope they phase out the outlets or do like Dooney outlets and carry only retail styles.

Hey sis great video I was just in my Coach Outlet store and you hit everything on the head. I think Coach is heading to Luxury real soon. I've noticed the price increase on items and the color changes as well. I do like some of the new color changes but some I will have to get used to. I noticed to that a lot of City totes are taking a longer time to go on sale as well and the nolita19 are selling out super fast. I'm fine with the changes but I'm loving the outlet prices cause it's more affordable for those who can't or just don't want to pay retail or luxury price.💚💚💚💚

Yes! YES! YES! To all of what you are saying. I have seen the writing on the wall since 2021 when the new CEO took over and then when Coach Tapestry began to buyout Micheal Kors, Kate Spade and a top designer. As a collector of all these brands for 20 years, I knew since Tick Toc and the way LV has had a clutch hold on buying out Tiffany and other brands, Coach has became popular with their streamlined silouettes and the under 30 generations have taken notice. I am glad I am not the only one who noticed the outlet pieces are becoming rare and they are no longer have those special weekend sales as much. Coach is trying to become more luxe which is why I am trying to buy upcoming pieces before they HIT IN PRICES without any sales. We have been spoiled for the past 10 years with their prices and discounts. I seen the change with the Rogues. They said no more mistakes with discounting quality handbags eith various leathers. IT IS GETTING REAL😮

I was at the outlet earlier this year. They had a puffy retail tabby bag. I thought that I hit the lottery 😂😂😂😂. That ended when the sales person stated it was full price. I was heated.

I like this idea, I buy from both websites. I have bought from coach retail, the quaility was not that great. I have bought from the outlet, and the quality exceeded the retail store.
