I have always admired John's team for their attention to detail and work ethic. One question, if may? When Josh was giving an overview of the JD135, it appeared that the hours were in the 90 hour range; essentially, a new machine. It also appeared that while working, the bushings for the pin holding thumb were significantly worn and showing a lot of play (noise)? Perhaps there are no bushings for the pin and just keepers holding the pin in place? If bushings and same are worn out. Seriously, at 90 hours!

It will not take 10 hours if it’s metal to metal , those machines needs to be greased Every morning before work begins .
That’s the only way to make sure you get the most out of your investment.

You nailed it. Very loud. Needs at least shims. You can see the thumb cylinder clanking between the eyes. My 33 year old 50-ton Liebherr isn't that loud. Somethings wrong.

Yea, horrible state for a brand new machine to be in. And he's running it rough and hard just beating the hell out of it.

Excellently practical machine. For the application. The JD.
And Iv'e mentioned the operating skill before. Coming in to it's own in time lapsed mode. My word!

I see Josh has improved his operator’s skills over this pass year. It appears he’s been watching Ltsdig18 videos cause you can see some of the same tactics. Keep it up and your ground skills will get better and smoother as you go. 👍😵‍💫😵‍💫👀

Sure would not want live that close to a mosquito pond. Other than the place looks nice. You did what you have to do for the contractor.

Sooo, the driveway goes between two houses/lots, and the new house is being built behind another house? Seriously?! Then there’s the mosquito problem. 🙄 Oh, and being so close to the septic tank system for the front house. Not to mention rain runoff from upper lots. Plus, with the trees now removed having to spend more money to replant trees or other ideas to prevent erosion. What a horrible lot and neighborhood design.

Great video guys and excellent job. I am a bit confused though as to why the thumb on that new machine is rattling so much considering it is a brand new one? That thing is so loud it sounds like the old machine with the worn out pins.

For a brand new machine that John Deere rattled that much there had to be something wrong with the bucket or the thumb. Cheers from down under.

Boy you said right that's a very poor design of space on those lots.
The land owner should have made the lots bigger and to build a house back behind the house already there is really stupid. I like to hear the reasoning for those lot breakdown...other than selling a couple extra lots..
