Hello
nice vidio
Brother make a crop farm for 1.20 .since 3 years you never uploaded a crop farm for us please make it 😊😊😊
i use way simpler one, it is just a piston feed tape shuffling around 45 hoppers, one input chest above and 43 double chests of multi item storage, and one slot open for overflow/unstackable storage.
@@amaan_moin what crops do u need that badly
Man why do you have such great timing? i was literally watching your last multi sorter video and you post an update to it right the same second and solved the issue i was having about it not fitting inside my build. now i can squeeze in whatever way, so THANK YOU!!!
I was just about to work on my storage system. I wanted it to be automated but all the tutorials were so complicated. Then this one came!
I needed this. Great timing.
I like how you gave enough information to see the storage+item transport side versus the input + clock. Gave me an idea on how to use this basic system in a different environment. I'm sure there will be challenges but that's the fun.
As always, you come at the perfect moment with exactly what I'm looking for
Lol, i whas just building the non-stackable filters and item filters from you video 3 years ago and whas still deciding if i would build the big "smart" item sorter or just a stack of chest at the end of it in the availible space. but this is perfect ❤ thanks again
Yesssss thank you I need a great sorter for java ❤
Thank you SO much! I've been struggling to make any of the MiS systems work. I've watched SO many tutorials and downloaded worlds directly from them, learned how to use litematica, slowed down videos, joined discords and subreddits (but didn't ask any questions yet cause I don't know what i don't know, so I don't want to bother them). This will work perfectly for my needs right now. Eventually I would like to figure out what it is I don't know to make something work for me, but for now, I'm SO relieved that I can sort my stuff in a MiS system and really easily!
Edit: I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my first attempt at this one didn't work, even after rewatching the building part several times and following along. I'm sick, though, so I'm going to blame it on that, and it's not that I'm a complete dingus who can't follow simple directions -_-
perfect timing I was just looking for a storage system
Same bro
Great video love the new and improved auto storage
Nice early game system. Later defo build the item categorizer, this thing is just great.
Niice! The single file one served me super well for my starter base, but unfortunately I've grown past what it can storage so this is a great substitute for my new base :D
this is perfect for the early game! thanks for another amazing tutorial!
Is there any worth in building a bigger/ more complex system? Everyone I try to build is either broken are about to break lol is there a reliable way to build these massive item sorters on bedrock?
honestly it depends on your needs, this one would work great in the early game when you don't have a ton of items. I'd say that if you're running out of space or it doesn't sort fast enough for you then yes, it would be worthwhile getting a more advanced system, generally what I've found with big systems is that bedrock edition has weird problems with chunk unloading and that it can cause some weird stuff to happen when your stuff is not chunk aligned as possible. one thing I like to do before doing a more advanced storage system is sort of start with a slightly more basic version, just to understand the mechanics of it and then work my way up to a more advanced system, for example Instead of building a shulker unloader for it right off the bat I would instead wait until I fully understand the mechanics of the system. honestly depending on your resources, you might not ever need an insane storage room that can store thousands of every single item, however if you happen to be a more ambitious player you might find that more simple systems like this don't fit your needs. as for how to build those more complex systems just play with a simple version on a creative test world until you fully understand it then slowly work your way up to whatever your goal is. sorry if I said to much, lol my brains and fingers are a little fried@@cayde6sace558
@@ianjamison8998 this was a great reply but i am really bad at the understanding part of the redstone lol i do know how to find chunk borders but was hopping for a video rec on a good big storage design. Ive got a server with some friends and we have a bunch of resources becasue ive been building farms for lots of stuff but its getting to be a real headach to manage them. Im thinking of just doing silent somethings design with the stacked chest minecarts and do smaller storage buildings with similar block groupings and crossing my fingers the chest minecarts dont despawn but I would much prefer a more traditional style chest system that could hold everything or at least one chest per item in the game would be really cool to do. I built prowls latest design and it didnt work on my server so ive been a bit discouraged to build another persons design and have the same issue
yup that's storage tech, a big headache lol. I think if those minecarts are chunk aligned then there shouldn't be a problem generously it's a problem with entities moving across chunk borders and then stopping. if I had to recommend a large completely reliable storage system it would be just your bog-standard item filter these things will almost never break if you can just figure out how to have enough in one slice and how to load the whole thing at once then this might work for you. for inspiration on storage tech you could watch cubicmetre he doesn't play bedrock but he does a good job at explaining stuff.@@cayde6sace558
This seems like a great add on to my existing sorter as it currently only sorts one type per chest. I'll use it for items i don't need as much of could be just one or 2 slices. Just need to figure out how to connect it to my other sorter but shouldn't be too bad... I hope
DUDE! I just tried to make something like this in survival, finally fixing my storage after 18 months on the world and I have something you might like to know!
You can use chiselled bookshelves at the end of a storage system like this to filter out enchanted books :D
(make sure to sort out regular books first)
I have a long corridor of chests and wanted some verticality so this is perfect timing! I couldn't get the repeaters right on my version so I put it down for a while (literally two nights ago)
love your videos really helpful
Also
Can you make new crop farm old one broke
Never made one of these before so Im not entire sure how to actually sort everything, other then that the redstone works as always. Great timing, was lokking for one to link to a mob farm
i explain it in more depth in my large multi item sorter tutorial:) link in description
Reminds me of my world tour video, and my sorting system on my channel from 7 years ago. This looks smaller though. I like it.
I just build storage system in raid farm from your of shorting storage system video. Now I see this. And It looks better. Now I'm going to break my 3hours creation.
Finallyyyy thank you!
I was trying to move the loading chest to the floor instead of the roof, but the wiring wasn't translating well in the space I had available. Having to move the comparator-activation circuit, plus the circuit that slowed down the hopper, and then add in a dropper elevator - it just wouldn't fit. Then it occurred to me that I can leave the main chest up top and just add a separate elevator system that moved the items to the top. I ended up using a soul sand bubble column and water to get the job done, but I imagine a dropper elevator would work as well. (Water is cheaper)
The bonus to this is now that I wanna hook up a simple farm to the system, I can just use the same water stream to get my items into the loading chest.
Wickedly clever system!!! Love it!!!
:)
It is a really nice system thanks very much.
:)
Could you do a tutorial for a fully auto cobblestone and wood farm that doesn’t need me to break the blocks. Or at least could you do some tutorials for blast chambers? Great video anyway 🎉
you would need a wither cage for that, which require bedrock blocks in survival. or tnt, but tnt on bedrock is horrible haha
The best just got better!
Technically, if you want to expand the system further, you could leave a block gap between each chunk and use the same logic as with the corner version, allowing you to continue it as long as you want
Your the best silentwisperer thank you!!!
Hey Silent, just to let you know, at 0:11 the video glitches green before it fixes. Apart from that, Great video as always 👍
how would you hook this up with items coming form another bulk item soarter with hoppers? would they go through the system correctly or will I still need to slow them down? also anyway to make the system auto turn on when needed coming from the other bulk item sorter? used the common bulk soarter for bedrock on xbox realms. thanks in advance for any help
Man you must've read my mind, i wanted to build this yesterday
Hi Silent! Im just wondering which resource pack you use, to get the redstone things to look like that.😊
bedrock tweaks:)
Thanks!❤
Is there any possibility that you could do a really quick explanation of these smaller redstone builds so we can learn the basics from them, please? Thanks 😊👍👍👍👍
What texture pack do you use. I like how the water looks
hi silent, i want to extend the sorter parallelly, may i know how to do it?
This is the best storage system ever broo it reduces the lag and it minimizes chest space
mine is the best. it's based off wroztee design. all mojang had to do last update was fix redstone blocks not stopping flow in hopper minecarts, to make work with bedrock too. now recently update made pistons and sticky pistons knock minecarts. so 2 things away from working on bedrock.
@@michealfunickrr3717 wow, imagine coming onto a RUclips video about a storage system, complaining about the storage system and the differences of bedrock and Java, all while claiming to have the best storage system.
Handing yourself 3 L's in a single comment is a new record today.
I should mention this but there’s some wonkiness with the droppers. If you were to say setup a dropper chain cycling system to to detect from a comparator for some reason it should be going in order.
Basically from said amount but let’s go with 9. Each one being numbered in order to be in the right order, 1 - 2 - 3 so on and so forth.
Instead of the right order sequence it will go from 1 to 4, then from 4 to 9 in some weird update order. Yes anyone can replicate this weird issue if you’re a redstone builder. I do hope this will be fixed or end up to be an unfixable bug.
yeah its random update order of bedrock, affects everything but you can work around it
@@silentwisperer
I would like to know how to do that. Do you have a video about few days back or recently?
Can you combine different storage systems together like a bubble column and a dropper elevator
Now i can sort way better i love you
I'm at restone block #16 so now how do I power the next 15? Does each 15 have to have the clock stuff added too? I apologize if this is a simple fix but even though I'm a seasoned player I've never really gotten into redstone yet and I really want to build this with about 45 blocks of redstone to travel. TIA for any help.
ETA: Do I just add a repeater to join the 15 slice bunches together?
you'll have to do something like the corner redstone i show at the end. you might need a gap between systems so the items come in at the right times tho.
might be easier to start a new system there with a new input, this will also decrease time to sort and items left behind in droppers etc.
@@silentwisperer Ok so a complete new 15 blocks with it's own clock and everything is what I think you are saying. With a 1 block gap between these 2 fifteen redstone lines. Thanks so much. I really appreciate your help and your tutorial!
@@silentwisperer I came here for this question also. thank you. good to know that 15 blocks is essentially the max (for best function)
Just wondering about expanding I have tried expanding it with 3x3, that didnt's seem to send items the whole way. So I tried to make it 3 chests tall and 5 (double) wide, but then items seems to be stuck in the machinery in droppers and hoppers. How can you keep expanding this system? How to you improve signal strength? Couldn't make your corner solution work either on Bedrock Windows
Any idea why the clock stops working when I add the extra block for Java? Also, doesn't connect the elevator either. Not in chunk borders and using bedrock on a cross play (Java) server. Any other tweaks for Java? Built and rebuilt exactly as tutorial. Thanks
Im trying to build an item storage/ sorter for every block in the game what design should I use for something like that or is that even possible in bedrock? Been trying to look at diffrent designs but it seems like most of them break or arent reliable
Multi item sorters (Like this one, or the "late game" one linked in comments) or the item categorizer (Doesn't need placeholder items in the chests you interact with, don't need to leave behind an item) that Silent also has a guide for on his channel. Both have a tendency to break if you leave the area while they are running, and can have chunk border problems. They are great designs, but user error can cause them to have problems. That said, both the multi item storage designs should be safe to use, you shouldn't lose items, they just might get stuck in the system if you unload it at a bad time.
Etho's new hopper minecart system solves that problem, though both it and the item categorizer that Silent released are quite slow. The hopper minecart system is very stable though. You can leave the area, log out, whatever you want... and nothing breaks. In addition to being slow, it's rather difficult to scale it up. I'm sure there's plenty of tech geniuses trying to find some way, and this tech moron has certainly tried, to improve it.
For every item, you are probably best off with the multi item storage or the item categorizer (both of which silent has tutorials for on the channel). Just make sure you stay in the area, and keep it loaded, while its running. Having some indicator redstone lamp helps.
@@SupachargedGaming thank you for taking the time to explain all that this was really helpful
YESSSSS IVE BEEN WAITING
Can you make one with barrels? Barrels are better for massive storage systems because they are full blocks unlike chests
What do we put to make it work do we need to add something into the hoppers?
First of all: cool - I didn't even think you could build a categorizer system this small - fun idea.
I likel the simplicity of this, but.... Without having tested it: isn't it painfully slow? As far as I understand if you need to send items to the very last chest in this 3x3 configuration, it needs to go through all the hoppers and all the droppers (with the exception of the last bits that puts items into the overflow chest) - and that just sounds like it would take forever.
I really like these item categorizer systems, but in early game I am not sure you actually need it. I get the whole expanding-as-you-go thing, but if you really want an item categorizer in later game, I don't think you would expand this system - just build a bigger version (such as the others Slient has vids of) - it sorts waaay faster.
I would deffo build the 1 wide configuration tho, either 3 or 4 chests tall, I think for early game. The only "problem" is that you gotta get to the nether to build this (since you need 1 nether quartz for the comparator) and I am not sure nether is that early game for everyone - even if it's just for 1 quartz.
Great vid overall - good and clear instructions.
Thx pro
Just built this, and it's amazing. I was able to make 45 item boxes
I'm using your previous version in my current world. It's big though, and lot's of stuff gets left in the system when it shuts off. Would it be possible to put a clock on it or something, to keep it going until everything is cleared?
Thanks, love your videos!
that system isn't really made for a clock, but you could mod it if you know redstone. use a system like the one here:)
@@silentwisperer I think I meant to say pulse extender, to keep it running. User K.H.A.Y.A.L.I actually mentioned it in the comments too. Where would you place the pulse extender along the system?
Also, thanks for the quick reply. I know it's tough to reply as you guys get bigger audiences, but I really appreciate it.
yes, but you would need a different size one for every system, and since everyone will be making this a custom size its hard to implement. it would need to keep the torch under the comparator turned off
@@silentwisperer Oh, yeah, right. The bigger the system, the bigger the pulse extender. Awesome, thanks a ton!
Have you made a multi layer item filter tutorial? I need it for my iron farm bc i only have a chest and want to transport the flowers somewhere else
Did you see etho's redstoneless storage system? Love your storage systems too, and have been using them for forever, but trying to learn encoded storage now because I am a massochist.
idk what ethos done but i have this infinite storage system:)
ruclips.net/video/0T_4DQ2oDao/видео.html
It uses the same 'attempt push into a full chest' logic as your system, but just a hopper minecart pushed by a water stream zig zagging over then under the hoppers that feed into the chests. It is very slow, yours are definitely better, but you have to admit it's super clever.
I always love seeing your storage tech. That link is another very clever design. That is even more perfect for the day 1 early game. Thanks!
I also see you have another tree farm I haven't seen. Wait 2 tree farms. I have watched your older tree farm videos like a million times on 5 separate occasions building it various times... Why would the algorithm not put those on my feed at the very top and highlight them with some cool shooting stars and spotlights beaming out of it to make sure I saw them? What? Is that asking too much? :P@@silentwisperer
If you use Etho's system in bedrock edition (or the concept, at least) it doesn't break when you leave the area which is a big win. It has problems with scaling though. Reducing the chest space from a 3x3 area per double chest is a challenge, compared to something like this where chests are basically as stacked as they can be.@@lettersANnumbersonly
Any tips of extending the signal while keeping everything in time?
you'll need redstone like i showed with the corner system at the end. likely a gap between the sections too:)
What Pack are you using that shows the directions of the hoppers
bedrock tweaks:)
I had a big and expensive sorting system before, but I did not understand how it worked, så I switched over to this, but I have some small issues with the redstone lines being to long with my 18 chest wide(6 chest high) storage...
Any idea om how to power the last half of my build?
(almost noob in redstone builts)
If I want to make it very long, can I just put some reapeters or it will break? Sory for my english and hi from Romania!
youd need to make it in sections, or ideally just build multiple full systems in a row. connect the output elevator to the input chest of the next. this gives you multiple inputs and prevents as many items from getting left in droppers:)
Nothing is sorting into the bottom two rows just going into the top 3 chests or going straight into the excess chest, I have fully filled all the chests with blocks that I am putting into the system but it’s not working
Same issue here ive rewired everything twice
You get it to work? Totally failed in my world items going all over the place and hoppers locking up
I'm in the same boat, there must be something missing. I would really like to use this
Keep going, I found my mistake. It's working now
@@aaronrroy I figured mine out as well, but now that I’ve been using it it seems like non stackable items have been vanishing… it fills up chests I have sorted until the very end of the row and then I extend hoopers around a corner to fill up leftover chests and now all those items seem to be gone, can’t find in any of the hoppers drippers or chests
Can you make one without the chest has to be full, because sometimes you take from it and there will be empty slots
Is there anyway to increase the redstone signal from the main clock for a larger design?
yep, using the method i showed at the end for going around corners:)
just built it and all items end up in overflow chest. even when first chest is empty. any idea what i did wrong
Same here. Any ideas?
if you didn't already figure it out, just make sure both repeaters in the clock are at 2 ticks
@@Comfeyy this fix it for me, thank you very much!
@@Pretender717 you’re welcome, I had the same issue and it took me a lil too long to figure out
Can I make this farm using a clock at the beginning? I want my input chest to be over to the side and to prevent items from getting left. Please let me know if you can!
yeah just remove the comparator circuit and use the lower level to turn on/off 👍
Omg this is so much better
The other drawback is that each item takes 1 second to sort... a full double chest will take nearly an hour to sort.
How do i make it silent? (Yes i realize the dad pun). If i want to use shulkers can i simply leave any block next to it? I have built your larger MIS and i would love to see a shulker sequel to it
this system will never be silent.
if you want a silent system you need the much larger system i showed:)
Finally a tutorial after 58 Days👀
😅
Does this work on realms? I built the last one you made and it wasn’t working on realms.
So you explain how to fix the system for Java on a three chest tall system but it doesn’t seem to work for anything taller. I can’t figure out how to make the whole system light up with the mechanism at the top. The bottom lever makes it all flash but items never leave the chest at the top
you need to connect all the redstone lines on the back, so they go all the way up:)
Can anyone tell me what it is called or how to find the reusuropak that is used in his video, thanks to which you can see where the funnel is pointing?
Built on java, seems to be sort of working. Items are not consistently going into first chest with like items, or just skipping chest completely? Some items sort others just skip past their chest. Im almost certain every redstone, torch, repeater tick are all correct, and the input hopper is facing down. Not sure whats causing this
The chest with a torch behind them work, but the chest with the gap between the torches dont receive items.
@@MaximumOverloadHD having the same issue
@@anolive7535 playing on java, I managed to fix some of the chest, instead of every other chest not working, its just my 4th chest (5 chest stacked). I had to get rid of some of the glass I had placed due to Redstone not traveling down glass on java. But again, my 4th chest still wont take items, and unfiltered items still randomly disperse throughout the rest of the chest
@@MaximumOverloadHD That's interesting. I'm also playing on java and the item sorter is skipping a few chests and just putting the items in overflow. I'll try seeing if changing the blocks from glass to something else helps though the redstone clock seemed to be working fine during testing (all redstone lit up).
Had the same issue. Add torches behind the hoppers leading into the first collumn of chest. Just like you do in the rest of the system.
Does this work on servers?
How can I build this under the mob farm you made a couple of months ago
I've been on for maybe 5 or hours trying to figure this bug out on my own...
Some items are getting carried through the system reguardless of location some landing if later chests and some(same type) ended up in the overflow chest. Hoppers are still locking eveything when the input is empty, clock is working fine, not every space is filled but idk how that would effect the Redstone...
Creeper blew up the top half of the build... Fixed it and now it's working.
For some reason the item input in the input chest go to the s cond chest above the overflow chest any fix?
Couldnt you just add a lil decay circuit to make sure the system keeps running and flushes out the remaining items?
Can we have a per-slice meterials list?
Built this 5-high in java, including the modifications. cannot get items to go into the top 2 chests of the first column. any advice?
that sounds like a missing redstone above one of the torches, double check everything on the backside:) Also lookout for chunk borders, theres always a chance they can break things! its not as bad on java tho
im running more tests on the java system rn and it looks like as long as the hopper under the input chest is pointing downwards into the hopper below it, the repeaters on the top section can all be 1 tick and its reliable 👍
@@silentwisperer so on java the hopper below the input should be down not sideways like the other version?
yes the one right below the input chest should point downwards
I tried doing that (java edition). But It didnt worked for me. I also adjusted the hopper. I dont know what i did wrong. I tried doing it twice, the item doesnt drop.
Day one seems an exaggeration.. but I'm only 20 seconds into the video
Literally just used your last tutorial for storage last night😂
time for an upgrade>:D
btw the chests from the previous one can be left in place, you just need to change the redstone behind them:)
I made this system but mirrored to the opposite side and for some reason, my items are getting sorted along the right side (closest to the detection circuit) and the bottom but not in any of the other chests even though all my items are sorted correctly. Any ideas as to why it's not sorting throughout the entire system?
check if clock repeaters are on 2 ticks
You can use a tiny pulse extender to make sure no items get left behind.
Oh, that's great. I was asking him about putting a clock on it, to keep it running, but I meant to say a pulse extender. So, that basically keeps it running for longer, to get more of the items cleared out? Also, where would I connect the pulse extender?
Thanks!
yes, but you would need a different size one for every system, and since everyone will be making this a custom size its hard to implement
Sick
I made this system on Java but instead of 3 tall it is 5 tall. I am trying to get the elevator to work so it powers all redstone lines. Since the redstone does not go down glass on Java I am struggling. Does anyone have any suggestions?
this really good but hpow do we make it faster
Nice 🥔
Would this do well with a gold farm?
its not really made for farm storage, most farms will be too fast for it
How do you sort it so items go into their specific chest, right now it seems like it only goes into the first chest available?
you have to fill every empty slot in every chest. if theres an empty slot, it'll be filled by the next item going through the system:)
Nice
ive had to add 16 repeaters for the clock (other wise no item get in the box ) and still 70 to 90 % goes to the output even the items in the boxs any help?
