Yeah. I don't get it. The director looks passionate about it. The set designs look great. It's shot on location when possible. A good balance between CGI and practical. The costumes and makeup look great. Let's see if the story and the singing are good too.

For one thing unfortunately it is in 2 parts so people will have to wait for the next part. And not many musicals you can turn into a film especially if they are a hit in the theatres no hate just my opinion

Even though I may not have seen the show, I still don't have a single clue how this movie adaptation, which is going to be split into two parts, first part this November, part two next November, like how a stage show, including a musical, would usually run is gonna play out once it's released, but we'll have to wait and see. Amazing look behind the scenes of it, by the way, especially seeing and hearing Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande sharing their stories.
Well it is a planned 2 part film with the first 1 out this year and part 2 next year but will unknown of how it will be split up

And the movie will end with Elphaba singing Defying Gravity which happens half way through the play
And part 2 will continue the rest of the story
If they wanted to make this a franchise they could do a sequel with elements from the other books about Elphabas kid although I'm sure they will edit some of the stuff from there like the play because those books are dark
it's split into two parts,
one is released this year and the other next year. and not only are are they including every song, but also including some things from the book :)

I was so beyond excited for this film but as soon as Ariana was cast instead of Dove Cameron it lost its magic. Add in the inappropriate relationship between Ariana and Ethan just solidified that for me. Such a shame
It will really be a shame if you don't watch it, but true fans of the musical will enjoy it as it should be, without caring about the private lives of the actors.

I'd like to thank everyone who is making this film possible, I've heard so much about Wicked over the years, and it doesn't exist in my country, so I never could see it. Now thanks to the movie I finally get to experience it!
I plan on going to NY someday but by the time I go there, the movie will have been released so I might try another show for my first and only Broadway experience. But if the movie didn't exist that would totally be my first choice!
