Holy cow this looks amazing! In a few months I'm hoping to be building this model and I'll have to order these. You should have had about 10 more seconds of just showing that gorgeous finish as you rotate it around in the light.
I have found with the craft paints that they need to sealed as they can chip and can be reactivated if you accidentally spill liquid on it whilst building. If anything it would be good to put a thin layer of satin clear over the top, or if you are using the decals you would need to use a clear gloss first otherwise the decals will silver over time. Once thats been done then a thin layer of satin clear to protect the decals and bring the sheen too the correct level. It might darken the paint a bit, however you can do a test on a scrap bit of styrene and lighten the paint a bit and test again .

on the TV show the ship had more of a flat military look to it. A gloss coat might change the effect. You might want to do a test first to see what the finish look will be
@@maskdesign2478 Ah I got ya. I'm thinking of making the base coat of mine insignia white from mission paints and then doing pearl colors on top. I want to test it out first though. I also need to figure out how to do the custom lighting because I'm not a fan of the polar kit and tenacontrols doesn't have a kit with motors.

I'm new to model making, why wouldn't you want to put a finish on it like a gloss coat? It would rune that silver paint effect layer?
