My Son and I just scrapped a breaker/relay twice as big as a shoe box, and weighed about 60 lbs! I thought I was being careful, to avoid the very large springs in it, but it broke lose and hit me square in the face! It cut my nose and lip, and bruised my jaw! The larger the breaker, the more powerful the "trip springs"! However, we did get a good amount of copper and silver!
Really enjoyed this video. I dont tear into breakers. The ones I get are smaller than that. But it's good to know what's inside if I do get bigger ones. Thanks for showing.
Even the small breakers have copper inside and some silver. If you don't have time of course they don't deserve to open (they aren't hard to open). Thank you for watching my friend😁
Another great video. I enjoy watching all your videos. Your right a picture says a 1000 words. I'm similar to you as I work a 40+ hour job and scrap in my spare time. I love it. I have never seen those gold plates inside a breaker before, interesting. Probably not heavy enough for gold but might be plated. Good haul from 1 breaker. Thanks for sharing. Gold Coast, Australia.
Your welcome. You have shown me a couple of tricks to save me time and expense when disassembling things and for that I am grateful. I really like the way you show how you do things so I will be waiting to watch your next video. Thanks from the Gold Coast. Australia.
@@bradlang9494 I'm happy to know that my videos can inspired other people.... After all I'm nothing special.... I get inspiration from other people and adjust the ideas for my needs. Thank you again my friend for your kind words😁😁
i have one simillar to disassembly and make next film, i look inside them is silver brass and copper and some iron , really many things, keep scrapping !
I scratched them and they were still yellow gold inside. And the ringing was different from other metals.... I'm not saying that they are gold but I have to test those plates.... Thank you m8😁
Those plates were inside the breaker. They aren't magnetic and when I scratched them they still was yellow gold. Also they sound different from the other metals. I have to show them to someone who knows about gold. Thank you for sharing brother😁
