If you had almost unlimited resources and materials and technology available, could you come up with something, not real, but good enough to convince people? He was am ex navy operative and recalls pulling a sub vessel from the water and riding in the chopper when all of a sudden something pulled the vessel they were recovering with such force it's as if water didn't have weight. We do not know how zoomed in the FLIR image is, so your 1000m estimate might not be accurate at all. We are seeing the heat signature, not the size of the actual object.

To your concern about why they don't observe us from safer distances: think about how we observe wild animals or insects today. We can be in very close proximity to them, but being in a running car, or behind a wall of plexiglass, covered in a beekeeper suit, or a shark cage -- we are safe, but these creatures can't comprehend that we are protected through these "technologies/safeguards". If bees or tigers try to "attack us" they would be confused on why their attempts are failing (beesuit), or why we are able to elude their efforts so fast (safari jeep).

If not military equipment, a lot more likely than aliens. If you look at the footage closely, that object appeared to disappear not enter the sea. Could these objects generate time portals or come from them. Given their size they are unlikely to have traversed vast tracks of space and sustain life, however technically advanced.

Why do people say it entered the ocean? Clearly it is level with the horizon - it is not ON the horizon otherwise it would be about a 1000M wide. So it is close to the ship, just eye-level with the horizon. This means it’s point of entry to water would be below the sphere, well below the horizon. We do not know how zoomed in the FLIR image is, so your 1000m estimate might not be accurate at all. We are seeing the heat signature, not the size of the actual object.

You're looking at the heat signature not the actual shape of the object. All you are seeing in this FLIR video is the heat radiating off the craft.

You're thinking of a supercavitating submarine. Basically it would pump exhaust in front of itself, creating a cavitation bubble, which would vastly reduce the hydrodynamic drag imparted on the submarine as it moves through the water.
