- Finally after 17/18 months, Georgina’s Volvo 480 Turbo, Vinnie, is now done!
Well...when we say done, there may be a few problems that we address in this video...

As disappointing as bad paint is, at least it means your not afraid to use the car!
A good body shop is now VERY hard to find, as insurance work is just quick easy money.

Sad to hear about the paint job, but it does look very flat, especially on the bonnet. In regards to the trim stripe, originally it would've been a sticker (in another colour of course) and not painted on. Electrics wise, all you have described seems to be standard 480 stuff. There is a man based in the Netherlands who is a wizard when it comes to fixing the Info centre & gauge cluster. As a 480 owner myself, these are fantastic cars, the handling is superb and they have plenty of power for a car that only weighs around 1000kg. Sure, the 480 was probably a missed opportunity by Volvo; it could've had more power (blame Jan Wilsgaard for that) as well as being better built (blame the Dutch for that xD), but they're certainly their best looking car IMO.
Yeah I think with a good flat and polish and it will come up much better so fingers crossed on that front. I believe the dash could be a relatively easy fix, as it does work the majority of the time, and headlight was totally fine till the motor said no, I will sort it all eventually!
But I absolutely agree with you, it’s just a fantastic car and so much fun to drive! 😄
gutted you spent good money and got it back less than perfect, shame your not close to plymouth. my restorer's spray jobs are the best I have seen and can't wait to see my moggy all finished. but glad your getting it rectified at last

At a quick look it looks good amazing colour choice, it's so sad on closer inspection it is not so good I have every confidence in you both that it will get sorted to a good level and will look totally amazing
