    B6 is required for hundreds of different mechanisms in the body.
    A lot of what happens in the body is rate limited by vitamin B6, but you can't get enough to fulfil your bodies needs if you take the vitamer they fortify most food with.
    You need the p5p form to not get nerve damage while fulfilling the bodies true needs.

    Agreed…what a gem and timely. I have a container of leucine that I was going to give up on. I was aware of leucine’s MTor activation and was using it for my muscle rebuilding cycle when I try and pack muscle on which is ever harder now I’m over 60. But my anecdotal non peer reviewed claim was that the only thing it really increased was my appetite which became voracious after leucine +3 gm
    dose. But now I’m looking at my furriest faithful companion and noted that she has packed a bit of weight on over CoVid and after hitting her first decade. So she and I are going to do the companion leucine/B6 protocol for 6 weeks. I’ll forward the results to you and some pictures and if you would so kindly act as our peer…perhaps we could all get published in the Journal of Vet medicine or at the very least, the pet shop down the road says they’ll let me post it on their bulliten board if I buy $200 of non gmo bison liver.

      I’m serious about testing this and am a keen fan of finding the natural paths to trigger desired outcomes versus letting the pharmaceutical giants come up with something so targeted and expensive that it sucks the wind out of my bank account and likely causes as many side effects as curing the original ailment/target. Thanks for your fine work, Richard.

    That is the conundrum... doing and funding research on commonly available sources and supplements but finding a way to reap the rewards for the time, effort, and money invested. It becomes clear why big pharma and their lobbyists push their man-made crap medicines that do very little except allow them to charge exorbitant prices. This also explains why regulation is used as a cheap business tactic to prevent others from using common supplements -- e.g. banning sales of NMN and NAC.

    • @ModernHealthspan
      @ModernHealthspan  Год назад +1

      Hi Armando, thanks for your comment, and it is indeed a conundrum. But it does seem to be partly solvable, using the model or NR or Rejuvant which use common substances which are not regulated.

    • @armandoanderson3536
      @armandoanderson3536 Год назад +1

      @@ModernHealthspan I hope Rejuvant is profitable. It seems the process for making Ca-AKG is patented so I assume they are making money off of it or using it to differentiate themselves from the competition while being the exclusive supplier. I personally do not use Rejuvant but rely on heavy cardio exercise to feel the boost effects of AKG along with other supplements that seem to work well synergistically such as beet root (i.e. betaine or TMG) and black/green tea. I assume getting the boost means the body is absorbing the AKG to some effect.

    This guy!!!! Is awesome!!! I'm part of those consumers that want to see data, I am proof of some of that data. The marketing hype is for the sheep. I tell people about NMN, NAC, cofactors, nad+, methylene blue! And they look at me like I'm crazy. And so I've decided to just do what I do. In the last month, I feel like I've changed my whole mind and life around and attitude with some of these supplements, now this is my only opinion. I'm 41 in great shape, no ambition, no enthusiasm, just something was off I mean I did day-to-day stuff but starting something new or just yada yada stress. I've read the data on things, and I started taking those after much research! My energy, focus, mood, just attitude! I feel "young" energy. I was in the Marines, so I'm not at the top of my game as I once was. But I feel pretty close!!! I don't do any of my supplements in abundance, just buy the directions. And consistently at the same. Thank you so much to both of you for sharing your thoughts and brain knowledge!!! I say this for many of us, we are very thankful for your research and your dedication uploading it to RUclips for all of us to learn and enjoy!!!!

    This shorter clip is a little bit confusing on its own. He starts to talk about Leucine in the first few moments but then he wants to "back up" and then he talks about the B vitamin. But in his description of the studies he conducted, it isn't clear whether he's talking about the B vitamin alone or in combination with other substances.
    I guess I'll go back and watch the larger video to try to make it make more sense to myself. Because I feel that the least likely correct interpretation is that a common B vitamin, on its own, helps reduce fatty tissue in humans while maintaining lean tissue, but nobody in the world had noticed this before or touted it.

I would appreciate if in the future you either ask this question directly or post the answer in the comments for those who need to know, ok? For now, I assume it’s around 1g?
