I can always remember having weird things happening to me when I was young that no one else got. Made me think i was crazy or going insane so I would never tell anyone but as I have aged and grown more in my knowledge and as I get older. All they were was just having deficiencies, when you're a kid you knew no better. Everyday a school day, always learning.
Yes I felt the same way. My mother would right it off as me being a child. But now that I have began to study health. I can see what was going on. Hopefully this'll help you be a better parent and watch what's going on with your family. 😊
I have adopted so much of your advice into my life that has changed my health for the better. Thank you for saving lives with every information you put out.
Dr. Berg, I like to see your videos and helped a lot! It would be nice to have a book with all the problems caused by vitamins deficiency. It would be handy and also goid like a present. Thank you for all your info you are giving us❤
Holy Cow, the symptoms you stated at the beginning of this video are all symptoms I had as a child...around 9-11, including the depression!!! I am now 67 and trying desperately to heal my body from my prior life, and so much of the damage happened in childhood. I tried to eat healthy as an adult, but things like probiotics where not even talked about, let alone the bad advice like eating no butter, and only whole wheat. Then, poverty has its own set of issues.
This man saved my life. I had debilitating neuropathy before I watched his previous video on B vitamin supplementation. It was literally lightning strikes out of no where usually in the middle of the night under my right arm and/or right foot. I was dumbfounded as to the cause. Couldn’t sleep and really bad quality of life issue. I stopped the proton pump inhibitors (prilosec) and all alcohol and immediately sought a doctor’s advice and was dreadfully low in B vitamins after a blood test. Was prescribed B vitamin shots and then started B vitamin supplementation as well. The neuropathy completely went away. I would never had done this without Dr. Berg.
As someone who has just been diagnosed with B6 toxicity from ingesting just 50mg B6 daily (half the allowed level) - it was hidden in my magnesium supplement - take care with how much B6 you take. Toxicity is just as bad as depleted levels for neuropathy and other symptoms.
@@hopeandjasonroberts6429 I was taking pyroxidene HCL, but I now know of many people who also developed toxicity from seemingly low doses of P5P, like 20mg. It's bad stuff despite what the medical fraternity say.
@@carokat1111yeah I know there’s dangers of the build up. I’ve recently started adding it in about 25 mg or the p5p and it’s helping my sleep tremendously so I think I must have been deficient. But I also don’t want to over do it.
So much thanks to you Dr. Berg for your hard work to make this precious informations easy to understand and practical for everybody and presented in a simple way. THANK YOU! ❤
I did eat a lot of fish, daily with my OMAD, but I didn’t have much luck in reversing some symptoms until I started consuming Kefir! I’m really glad you pushed for that! Thank you!
Kefir is the bombdiggity, a cup or two a day every day and its basically a script of antidepressants, minus the negative evil stuff. Lmbo so not anything like antidepressants other than the name. But Kefir helps my anxiety and energy, all of that. I actually found for me, it works immediately upon consuming. Some they notice it after days, weeks, or a month or so. But a cup or two a day, sometimes even less if you want to make it last and still get the good bacteria in your system, and you are on the road to delicious creamy tangy goodness of health. lol
Dear Dr. Berg many thanks for all the help and support you give to us all as you share your great knowledge of well being with us. How about writing a book? Much appreciation and gratitude for your tierless work.

He’s made great videos on autism and hyperactivity. What specific question do you have that was not answered in his existing videos on these situations?
Amazing. I think this issue was pivotal in my health issues that started with vegetarianism & menstruating ( about 8th grade). I believe I ate too many processed foods. Developed some depression even though I’m not the type that I would say gets depressed
Unless you have lab results that indicate you have a deficiency in one specific B vitamin, take a B Complex. There's a reason B vitamins are sold as a complex formula - it's not for convenience. Imbalance creates problems - the very least of which reduces the effectiveness of the other B vitamins in your system. I love all Dr. bergs videos. I have been dealing with what they want to call “long C”, me and my 3 children. I’m sure I’m deficient in so many vitamins. It’s very overwhelming to know which vitamins to take and not to take so many because they can interact. It’s hard to find a good doctor like him that can guide me through especially with my insurance. I’m planning to go back to a keto diet but knowing which vitamins to supplement with is the hard part. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
If you have not, can you make a video on Okinawa? And/or regions where people live to be 100 and still walk around and seem healthy compared to 60 year olds in USA. It may seem obvious to most of us, but still good content to spread, and information needed to some if not most. For example their diet, lifestyle, water they drink, and the mindsets of the people etc. Up to you, but I think it would be a great idea. Again I am not sure if you may have a video, or at least have brought it up in another video of yours, as you cover a lot and give a lot of knowledge, but thanks for reading Dr Berg. Also ONE more thing. Growing algae, kelp etc. Sound like a good idea? for eating of course. I think that would be great to learn to do. Anyone reading, you can grow cruciferous vegetables easy kale especially, without any storebought stuff other than seeds. Mine I have never used anything from store other than compost from storebought compostable foods... Literally you can scrape the grass away with a shovel and plant a seed of kale, it will grow. I mean trial and error, just for those who do not think they can do it, its not complicated like they make it seem. Collard greens too , easy. It is good to break up the soil a good 2 ft for roots but even then I had last year and a half no digging, still it grew, even if sideways it grew lol. Had plenty to freeze, still in bag in freezer. Was way better than storebought and cheaper.
Dr. Berg, thank you for your daily videos. I now watch 1-3 videos every am while having my am coffee. I ordered a probiotic supplement from you for my mother who has suffered from gut issues/diarrhea for 2 years now. 🤞 that she gets some relief.
OO have you ever tried Kefir? You can make your own too it takes a day. Even make it out of storebought Kefir by mixing milk in with some of the pre bought Kefir. It is good stuff.. Tangy, delicious, calcium vitamin d etc. I am sure it would be better with actual raw unprocessed milk, or goat milk, etc. But still full of pro and at least the grassfed organic brand said pro and prebiotics. The grassfed one I tried did not work as well oddly. And was less tangy, more thick and creamy. But yea.
I take your advice over whatever health care provider I see these days. My bloodwork was perfect at age 64 except for A1C. The ARPN wanted to prescribe metformin right away. Im like, NO WAY. She looked at me in shock. lol. They don't even think to tell you to change your diet, but straight to pharmaceuticals.
I would really like an explanation of the relationship between Morton's toe and the body's inability to metabolise B6. My serum B6 levels are high in blood tests, but I believe there is a disconnect between serum and tissue levels. Particularly as I was not supplementing with B6 at the time.
Hello Dr. Berg, thank you for your all that you do to help us be healthier. Side note, what do you think about the ice baths and the benefits that it could bring?
Dr. Berg your knowledge is a treasure, thank you so much 🙏! I'd like to recommend a new video if you don't mind, about "healthy kitchenware". Is non stick pan, healthy? What about "eco plastic"? Is air fryer safe? I use only pyrex when I bake, is it right? Which is the best way to keep fruits in the fridge, etc 😊.
People need to be aware of the fact that despite B6 being water soluble, it has a long half life of 25-33 days. In other words, B6 stays in your body for months before it is eliminated. Correcting toxicity can be a tricky affair given its long half life.
unfortunately I have a high level of b6 what do I do to bring it down I don't take any supplements not sure why it's so high...i do take a vitamin D supplement do you think it caused increase in B6
@@netnanny-vq1mt Do you currently have any toxic side effects associated with high B6 such as neurological and low BP problems? Also, have you considered retaking the blood test that shows you have high B6 elsewhere?
@@davenetonlineyou seem to be educated in B6, may I ask how you know about B6 toxicity? Did this happen to you.. do you know what neurological conditions it causes?
I feel like this is a problem that I face. I mean, I generally eat an extremely healthy and clean diet. However, every time I eat fish (sometimes white, sometimes fatty; usually once per week), I feel like an Ancient Roman God for that night and the following day. My common meals often have a good source of Omegas, so I feel that it is the good source of B vitamins in fish that drastically enhances my mood and overall being. I also have the gut issues that you have described here. Recently, I started to drink kefir, and that has already helped tremendously with the digestion part. However, that is only providing me primarily with vitamin D and B2. Therefore, I decided to snag a B complex vitamin to provide me with B6 and B12, as that should (hopefully) complete my vitamin needs from my strictly all natural diet. Right now, I feel kinda crummy mentally... But, hopefully that changes once I try taking my B Complex vitamin tomorrow morning!
Just want to thank you for your content. I’m a nurse and my daughter was prescribed sertraline causing her to go into a mania then psychosis. She spent 40 days inpatient. While she was inpatient I watched your videos and read peer reviewed articles. The doctor put her on 800mg of Seroquel which didn’t help the psychosis. It was your suggestion of keto and NAC that helped her. We’re slowly lowering her dose and she’s finally able to go to school.
Get her ACTIVE B12 tested. Not the same as Serum B12. B12 deficiency far more likely than B6 and deficiency of b12 causes psychosis. I speak from experience.
Thank you. When she was first hospitalized they checked her serum vitamin B-1 and B-12. I’m thinking about sending her to an orthomolecular doctor to help with testing and regulating her supplements.
@@mrs.rivera3645 it's unlikely though that they tested her with the correct tests. Check her records and see if she had a Methylmalonic acid and Homocysteine test. They are the most accurate tests available. Dr's missed my deficiency for years because they didn't even know about these test's. They are pretty ill educated on it. I had to fight to get a proper test for my daughter too, I went through 2 consultants until I found a 3rd that understood B12 and proper testing to prove the deficiency.
Yoooo I appreciate you in the highest form a human can appreciate someone this is gonna help so much with curing my eczema ! I believe I mentioned in one of your videos, a day or two ago, to do more videos of eczema ! I’m gaining hope and starting to not think about suicide, but now I’m thinking that there’s a way out of this and I can’t give up yet
In short, all symptoms related to amino acid & protein metabolism will show up on B6 deficiency esp inability of the body to synthesize the active bioavbl form P5P - pyridoxal 5 phosphate from pyridoxine, that in turn requires several cofactors including b2(r5p), b6 (as p5p itself!), zinc and magnesium. As most neurotransmitters, hormones, enzymes are proteins or peptides and as most structural proteins (collagen, elastin) also peptides, hence B6 is truly critical. ....esp when two critical minerals zinc and magnesium themselves require b6 for optimal absorption.
B6 is necessary for the uptake of all of the amino acids. Funfact: P5P turns pink if you leave it in the sun. It helps me tan much faster in high dose.
I’d appreciate seeing the toxicity side presented as well. No one warned me about B6 toxicity and it took less an 25% of what you’re recommending. The pain and years of healing from b6 toxicity shouldn’t be overlooked.
I'd rather get my advice from Dr. Berg than my family physician. I love you Dr. Berg...you are a Godsend...thank you for all the information you put out. Bless you!
I was diagnosed with Pyrrole disorder due to being deficient in b6, zinc, and magnesium. So many people suffer with it and even get misdiagnosed with mood disorders or bipolar disorder.
I have a lozenge I take from time to time for nausea and one of its ingredients is about 500% US RDA of Vitamin B6. It always seemed like a strange ingredient for such a lozenge.
Thanks to Dr Berg - I’m 61, lost over 40 pounds and am healthier now than 20 years ago!

Unless you have lab results that indicate you have a deficiency in one specific B vitamin, take a B Complex. There's a reason B vitamins are sold as a complex formula - it's not for convenience. B vitamins REQUIRE the correct proportions to exist, relative to each other, in order to function correctly in your body. If these ratios are not respected, it create an imbalance.
Fantastic video.
Glad you liked it!
Love love love your content 😀
Glad you enjoy it!
Try adding B1 too. Your mood and energy will improve.
@@CarmenZepeda-yu5no I’m on my third day of a new diet and a parasite cleanse all natural and it’s going great I’m feeling good already !
@@slimey2ss That's great!¡ Congratulations!!
He’s made great videos on eczema. What question do you have that are not answered yet in his existing videos on it?
@@slimey2ssSo cool!
Hi Dr. Berg, do you have a recommendation for a good b-complex vitamin? I’ve tried nutritional yeast but my stomach doesn’t agree with it.
Thank you for this informations
No problem. Glad to share this video.
B6 is necessary for the uptake of all of the amino acids.
Funfact: P5P turns pink if you leave it in the sun. It helps me tan much faster in high dose.
My son has Autism. Thank you so much for sharing this information. It gives me hope when doctors touch on Autism to improve health benefits.
Thanks for your message. Wishing good health to you and your son.
I’d appreciate seeing the toxicity side presented as well. No one warned me about B6 toxicity and it took less an 25% of what you’re recommending. The pain and years of healing from b6 toxicity shouldn’t be overlooked.
Toxicity is typically associated with long-term intake of vitamin B6 supplements at doses higher than 100 mg per day,
I'd rather get my advice from Dr. Berg than my family physician. I love you Dr. Berg...you are a Godsend...thank you for all the information you put out. Bless you!
Thank you for your trust and support. Appreciate it!
Thank you so much doctor.
You're very welcome.
We appreciate y dr berg
Thank you very much. Appreciate it!
Ty alot Dr.Berg u are the best ❤
Sure thing! I appreciate those kind words.
Dr. Berg is an amazing healer. Why would he be censored? Unacceptable. I will give up RUclips if he is.
Thankyou very much Sir🙏
Most welcome!
Thank you Dr. Berg. How much do we need per day?
Depends on a few factors. Dr Berg’s videos /articles on b6 deficiencies may also help answer this, including this one.
I was diagnosed with Pyrrole disorder due to being deficient in b6, zinc, and magnesium. So many people suffer with it and even get misdiagnosed with mood disorders or bipolar disorder.
true I read heal your brain and chemistry by Dr.walsh he talks about this in his book also
Or autism.
What’s that?
Thank you Dr
No problem. Stay safe and healthy!
I have a lozenge I take from time to time for nausea and one of its ingredients is about 500% US RDA of Vitamin B6.
It always seemed like a strange ingredient for such a lozenge.
Please make a video on spinal sclerosis and how to manage that along with how to protect oneself from vertebral disc degeneration
Dr Berg’s videos /articles on sclerosis, on spine issues, on discs, ect, may help.
@@helenevion5948 where can I find them?
Thanks
My cubital tunnel syndrome cleared up after I started supplementing with P5P about 6 months ago. All thanks to a Dr. Berg video!
