      Psychologically speaking, the old one represents a relatable social interaction; talking to someone, who's telling you about a product, while the new one feels like a fever dream. There's nothing about it that resembles any way humans interact at all.
      Try this same thought experiment on other ads, it's a lot of fun, and often a good explanation as to why some succeed and some fail.

    • @Guy-Mann
      @Guy-Mann Год назад

      @@Dillon69 It's worse than that. People studying it have found the average IQ has dropped 7 points every generation since the 70s. There are academics who go further in stating that IQ has been dropping since the mid 19th century. The intelligence of, say, that exact American Indian portrayed in the commercial would have been near genius intellect compared to most of the people of today. Shit's getting bad, my dude.

    • @komarunaegi7460
      @komarunaegi7460 Год назад +21

      The reason the original had more info was because the Whopper and Burger King as a whole were new and unheard of at the time. Nowadays, everyone knows what a Whopper is, and we know what Burger King is, so there’s no need to sell it to us.
      There’s nothing wrong with that. Why would ads continue to advertise what a well-known fast food chain is to us when it’s already common knowledge?
      That’s why newer ads just bring up new menu items or deals, and describe those in detail instead. They’re not trying to waste our time.
      Do you really want to sit there for a minute for a commercial? Or do you want something catchy and straight to the point so you can move on with your day?
      Sometimes the clever and funny skits are nice, and the effort is respectable, but plenty of ads today still do them. It all depends on the brand.

      Yeah but as an ad it sucks. If I'm watching something, there's no way I sit there listening to a guy talk in a slow voice about his great hamburgers, because I don't care about it. A catchy song instead catches everyone attention

    • @B8BandLCat5
      @B8BandLCat5 Год назад

      @@Starbucks-sj5ph As a ad TODAY it sucks, when it was first made, no one was looking at phone screens all day watching TikTok. When it was made, we would look at a CRT TV and watch 1 hour videos called TV shows. Now it seems to kill some one just to watch a 5 minute video without looking at their phone. Also, the first Burger King ad has a catchy short tune at end that sounds good, where as the newer ones have a song that gets stuck in your head, in a bad way. Maybe if you get off of your phone and stop watching 10 second videos on it, you will see that the first Burger King ad is a lot better than the new ones.
      TLDR: You think I will give you a "Too long didn't read" for this? Nope. I want you to read all of this just so your 8 second attention span will go nuts.

    The newest one from their RUclips channel is actually not the newest one. You see, RUclips has a thing with ads where if a certain video has been an ad once, it cannot be purchased as an ad again. Due to this some companies (such as Burger King) tend to reupload commercials like the cheese one which was actually first seen 2 months ago. I am currently crying so hard right now. This is seriously the most beautiful, well put together story ever. I can’t believe how magical it was 1:12. That part truly made me shed a tear. And especially at 6:34 that part was just so truly heart touching words can not describe the series of emotions I felt. I absolutely loved the climax it had insanely excellent detail. Oh and we can’t forget the conclusion. The conclusion was the greatest and saddest conclusion I have ever seen better than any of the books I have read. Thank you so much for creating this absolute masterpiece. This is essentially the most important masterpiece of film history. It is a tragedy that this, it can’t be called a film, but a transcendent emotional experience, will be inaccessible for most. It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, despair. It connects with the characters within the viewers, individuals suppressed within our own subconscious. It stays vibrant, fresh, and revolutionizes the art of storytelling and filmmaking while making a damn of statement on what it means to be human. Entertaining, gripping, and simply exhilarating. This might be the most impactful piece of art I’ve come across in my life, and I’m definitely coming back to it in the near future to study it more deeply. this is an absolute masterpiece , I was brought to tears listening to this and seeing the bacon go whirly swirly in a circle countless times. it absolutely moved my soul , and I don't think I can ever be the same. this bacon has changed my entire mental state , I am now at peace with who I am and what I will be doing later in my life. i have forgiven all my enemies and now I am a man of a pacifist life. I will move on , gotta move on , as the song says. the bacon is so inspirational , it shares it vast wisdom with all of us , and we are all so lucky that it would bestow it's great words with us. we are all children on bacon. hail bacon. hail bacon. The spinning bacon, rotating in one direction with this music... This made me tear up. How could such a bacon do such a thing? I'm struck by awe by this masterpiece. Especially when the bacon spins, showing its lightly salt covered tan skin. I can hear the crunch just from here, and so as the beautiful sound of the bacon scraping the dark, smooth velvet floor. The flavor, music and everything can be heard, tasted, seen and felt from a screen. You can really hear the breaths between the music artist, empathizing her love for this rotating bacon. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any piece of bacon I have ever watched. The acting was top tier and very life changing.
