    "The Third Level" by Jack Finney is a thought-provoking story that explores themes of escapism and the blurred lines between reality and imagination. In this narrative, the protagonist, Charley, discovers a mysterious third level of Grand Central Station, seemingly from the early 1890s. As he immerses himself in this alternate reality, Charley finds solace and freedom from the pressures of his modern-day life.

    let me try.....The third level is an engaging fictional story exploring on themes like escapism, (i forgot the the rest two which i am gonna mention later while revising) and imagination. The author Jack Finney introduces Charley and Sam who try to cope up with their stressful lives by thiervivid imagination. (at this point? i am gonna use the dump the pudding technique Xd) Post war repercussions impact majorly on economy and workforce leading to rat race type of environment which is tiring. Our main characters time travel to 1894 where WW1 and WW2 havent occurred hence people were living in a comparitively peaceful environment (idk if i should mention men smoking cigar and women fanning themselves...sunny days wala line but let's skip that for now). Charley when visits the third level is so influenced by it that he even buys old currency notes to shift to the old era. After visiting his psychiatric friend Sam; his wife's appeal to not search for the third level again, Charley stops looking for it. However one day his friend becomes a missing case. Later when he checked the first cover post, he saw that Sam had shifted to Galesburg in the old era and was happily living a life with 800 dollars; running hay and grains business. In conclusion we can clearly observe that in both cases, leading a hectic life filled with perpetual tension can lead people to such lengths which are unhealthy as coping mechanism. (lmao i probably messed it up a little end mein...bhaiya please look into this)....

    Honestly speaking that's very nice of you but after solving so many sample papers I've learnt that you can not give so much of time to one question. Considering all these 5 marker literature questions comes in the end, quick thinking is needed. I would suggest you guys to prepare a bit of theme and idea of chapters beforehand. Other than that , yes I too follow the same method of every question that comes in 5-6 marks.
    An introduction, a body , and a beautiful conclusion

    • @GrandAcad
      @GrandAcad  5 месяцев назад +7

      You are correct - you can’t give too much time to one question DURING the exam.
      However, we can give a question however much time we want when we’re studying which will make us a better writer during the test!
      Sweat in training and you won’t bleed in the battle.

    'The Third Level' written by Jack finney is a thought provoking lesson which primarily focusses on the issue of depression and stress due to excessive work load. Through the example of Charley on how he had been stuck in the illusion as described by his psychiatrist friend Sam, the author tries to convey an important message of having a balance on mental health which shouldn't be hampered due to the excessive work load. The story also has a fancy theme as there are some instances where the imaginary things come true like in the case of Sam where even he had gone to the past for experiencing the older generation of the world which was before world war 1. In the conclusion, Jack Finney tries to make an awareness to the readers regarding the issue of stress, anxiety and depression which is a problem faced by the current generation as well and it needs to addressed for a better living.

    What about parallel questions, diary entry type questions in long answers? Many educators on YT are making videos on this and I'm confused. Please make a video on that too or please clarify in the reply to this.

    • @Qalamanjushree577
      @Qalamanjushree577 5 месяцев назад

      Hey, totally not an educator but seeing that time is limited, I want to help you. I got 5/5 on my pre boards and I used this technique
      So basically, I remember the format of diary writing and stuff to help me
      It's
      Date
      Place. Date
      Time
      Dear diary, ....
      I use a lot of examples, instances and words from the text while incorporating my own opinions and how I would feel if I were, say m. Hamel writing a diary about his regrets
      He mentions feeling regret and procrastinating so incorporate that into the diary entry.
      Here's an example
      "The regret I feel is beyond anything I have ever felt in my life. I granted holiday tomy students while I, myself put my mother tongue- French aside and went fishing instead. I put her aside as a second priority as I sent my students to water my flowers. I failed to identify my priority. Now that the Prussians have snatched my mother tongue away from me is when I realise just how privileged I was to have the
      clearest, the most logical; the most beautiful language in the world as my identity. "
      Hope this helps ;)
