There's a double minded feeling about these beatiful places full of history. These small villages also exist here in Portugal. There are many of them with a half dozen of people and even some completely abandoned. This happens because the elderly died and their children move to the cities because they need work to survive and also escaping to isolation.
These magic and beatiful places are little pieces of heaven with their beatiful houses that seems like a fairy tail and the beatiful sorrounding landscape.

Yes, here too, people actually only live in the summer months. In winter it is very cold and shady here and many of the houses have no electricity. But I think it's nice that they keep it that way. They are contemporary witnesses :)

On one of our trips to Switzerland we visited several of these villages. It was a view back in time before the country became so wealthy and modern.

Ticino villages make me feel just like I was stepping back in time. Have I made myself clear? I'm curious about the brick houses, and nature is great there! Looked like Rasta was enjoying the atmosphere.
