  • Being the cheap guy I am, I often will buy some kick around shoes at Walmart. Well, just before Christmas I needed some sneakers and decided to buy a pair of Athletic Works shoes from Walmart. By March, they were shot. Check out my video and let me know if you've experienced the same thing.

$ 20 for three months = $ 80 a year = $ 320 in four years, better buy quality footwear for $ 250 that would last for five years without problems or foot problems. And will even last much longer if maintained.
Good quality really pays back in the long term.
Did Walmart replace them? No shoe, whatever it's price, should look like that in three months.

  • @scottlittle1888

Concur on the Redwings. Plus after you do wear down the soles, take them back to the Redwing store and have them resoled at the factory for mucho dinero less than than new. Plus they come back reconditioned but they already are mostly broke in!

I know that anything that you buy like that fails it makes me madder than hell. I on the
other hand bought similar looking shoes from LL Bean and they split on the side near the sole, little black beads of rubber keep coming out and getting all over the carpet and I couldn’t understand where it was coming from.
Mine cost $90 and I felt just like you did. I own three or four pairs of different kinds of that style shoe and so depending on what time of the year it is some of them don’t get worn for six or eight months. So after a year they may have been worn 50 times or five times but many times the warranty has expired.
    Edited for spelling mistake.

    • @filmitnow4772

      A Moron In The Woods
LL Bean in the past allowed people to return things if they weren’t happy with them. I would have fallen into that category. But the scum of the earth people bought things at garage sales, thrift stores etc. and return them to L.L. Bean for either full credit or replacement. I know this sounds unbelievable but their returns under these conditions cost them $250 million a year. So over a year ago or so they stopped the practice of doing that so they have a warranty and you need a receipt and in many cases the warranty has expired and I have to say the warranty is generous. So much for being able to trust people who would do anything to rip off a retail establishment like L.L. Bean. Just to be clear here I’m not big fans of them for other reasons but their quality always seems good.

@A Moron int he woods. I ust boughta $30 pair of cheap sketches steel toe shoes at Walmart. I do work on them hard. I was hoping ot get 3 months out to finish summer before the work books go back on. But after a month the tread is ribbing apart from the bottom. I understand you get what you pay for. I understand that Sketchers builds to a price point. So for $30 that is the tread quality, that is the glue quality, that is the construction they can put into a shoe for Walmart at that price point. I bought some construction grade glue and glued on the bottom of the sole. It works.

So lets think about this for a second. You bought low end cheap sneakers, let's assume you paid the $19.99 on it, considering we have no way of knowing that. And lets also assume that you didn't do any big wear and tear on it. Your point is what, that when you pay for cheap stuff that it breaks down faster. Tell us again where you actually spend your time, oh right the woods which is an uneven surface full of different things. Can't believe a thing on facebook sent me here from your other video that they talked about. Well two things, you're living up to the channel name you picked. And given this video, I think you actually are like some of these other "youtubers", you actually go looking to cause issues. Well have fun with it. At least try to not teach your kid that.
