    For running non-native games outside of Steam, I've had pretty good success with using Bottles to run things... though I just have a single Bottle set up for everything. It provides a nice GUI and makes it pretty easy to set get dependencies set up (e.g. .NET Framework versions) or install things like RPG Maker runtimes.
    I suppose Lutris can probably be used to do the same sort of thing, but it's pretty nice to be able to just double-click a file and run it with Bottles once you have the Bottle set up.

    1. Install Nobara Linux
    2. Play Games
    Nobara is a distro maintained by Glorious Eggroll, the creator of Proton GE

      Yes, but no. Arch is better in games.

      Tomshardware recently wrote an article benchmarking Nobara, Arch, PopOS and Win11.
      Nobara won :)

    I've been playing pirated windows games (from torrents) on my Linux POP op system and It's pretty cool and easy using Lutris. I install and play using Lutris with no issues at all. I just keep forgetting to add the Wine Prefix file directory for it to run but now I learned that. I want to delete windows now and remove partition. Which video of yours can help me there?

      I actually have “Guides to Switching to Linux” on this channel’s homepage (one of them being for Pop!_OS). You can find tutorials on removing Windows there.

    If the drivers that were installed seem to be functional in my system, would you recommend to try the proprietary drivers?

    • @ordinaryhuman5645
      @ordinaryhuman5645 8 месяцев назад +2

      I wouldn't bother unless you're experiencing some kind of problem that you'd expect a proprietary driver to fix. Personally, I haven't thought about drivers at all with Fedora; everything works fine and ought to be pretty up to date.

      For AMD use MESA open source drives that come with your distro. For Nvidia use proprietary drivers using your distro's own guide.
      There is work being done on opensource nvidia drivers but it is a decade away from being the default choice.

      Thanks for the feedback, I use an AMD GPU, so it is probably best to stick with drivers I have installed already.

      Unless you're experiencing performance issues in games, I would just stick to the open-source driver. Like I said, open-source drivers tend to be more stable on Linux compared to their proprietary counterparts.
