I really like these tracks! I love that she felt like she needed to go this route after she felt like she needed to tone down how “country” she sounded in her earliest years in the public eye. Beyoncé’s got nothing to prove at this point, she’s leading the charge and DOES NOT care what doors she has to kick down to do it. Love that about this upcoming Act II, and these tracks are proof that this is NO pastiche for her. I’m excited to see how this unfolds and what happens in the industry as a result of this project.
