    nice video but I've a remarks .. this is only a type of soviet hook .. for a very short distance when you're working body to body and you don't have the chance to rotate your hips .. in fact this hook is landed by should rotation only . GGG is one of the pro boxer able to use it perfectly because due to shoulder rotation is slower than the one landed with hips rotation . The power hook is not the one in this video . That's body mechanic reason .

    He's basically saying keep everything tight. The boxer is probably confused by the movement because he feels he can't generate enough power doing it that way. The power will come from core/hip rotation, and the legs.

    • @bubaba8938
      @bubaba8938 2 года назад

      @gunny1O1O1 i think it's a type of hook that's used in the clinch.Tyson was using a different type of hook as he would leap into the opponent so all the muscles would be activated trough legs and he wouldn't rotate his fist so that more of chest muscles were involved for more power

      The hook looks awkward because the guy is beginner who doesn’t know how to move his body properly; Frolov is also not teaching all the body mechanics of how to throw a Russian style hook right now, but simply focusing on the shoulder movement. If you want to see what this style of hook should look like when using all the proper body mechanics watch Bivol.
