Great video! I just bought the Blade 230S and a DX6e transmitter. I got most of the set up correct using the chart in the Blade manual but could not understand how to do the mixing set up. This gave me all the info I needed. Now I have to get up the nerve to go fly the Blade! Thanks again.
Help Please . Collective pitch is not working . Throttle works and so does Rudder on left stick . Right gimbal is fine. Elevator and ailerons move fine . Please help . I'm using the DXs Transmitter .
How do you enable safe in stability mode without using forward programming? Setting up this heli with a old dx6 g2 for a friend thats why Im asking.. Is it automaticly in safe in normal mode when bound or? Best regards
They need to make setting up these helis more simple because no beginner is gonna know what there doing or looking at so basically it makes this heli a waist of money because they’ll crash it instantly and that’s because it’s directed to beginners but if you have experience then its great
Two questions. On channel assign for gear you select F mode. Everyone else says to assign switch B. Which is correct? After my first flight using my new NX8 I crashed my 230s. Everyone is saying it's because I didn't set up "safe" in forward programming. How do I do this? It's not mentioned anywhere in the user manual. Nor in videos like this.
Blade and HH are horrible when it comes to documentation. Makes me wonder why they do not show how to activate safe. When you have radio on and the 230 bound click scroll wheel and scroll down to forward programming. Click to enter. Select Safe. Select Stability. Make sure you have the correct flight mode selected. You will need to flip switch’s to normal mode. If hold is on turn it off. Then you should see an section for stability. If off turn it on. If it is on the safe is on. You can set safe on any flight mode. I set on normal mode only. I try to stay in stunt 1 or stunt 2 as much as I can to not depend on safe. You may have to update you NX if you do not find forward programming. I set mine to F Mode and works that way just fine. Good luck.
@kevinsexton448 thanks!! First explanation I've had on how to turn safe on. I'm new to CP helis. I bought an RTF blade 230s and decided to buy an NX8. Nowhere did it say to go into forward programming to select safe. So I crashed my 230s on the first flight with my NX8 since I'm use to stability mode. I bought an OMP m1 evo to keep my occupied (loving it) while I rebuild the 230s with a frame swap.
@gregevans2885 had the same exact experience with mine. @iansrcexploits has some good videos of his struggles with a 330. Some are applicable to other heli’s. There are a lot of videos around about the 230 as well. Mine is decent now after hours of searching for missing information. The M1 is nice! Enjoy both. I got Heli-X sim. Free download to try. Super easy setup. Good practice for when conditions don’t permit actual flying. I just wish it kept track of the total $ of damage from crashes. 😂
Lose the background music. If you're only doing high and low rates why would you use a three position switch. Why not use a switch A 2 position switch? Your instructions don't work for an nx8 Plus

Do you have one for the DX6
Pitch curve. You didn't review the settings for mode 1 and mode 2.

My smart helis say gear - fmode, my 150s non smart says gear - B switch...do what the manual says.
