  • While driving at normal speeds on a snowy day, all of the safety systems on 2018 Honda Accord Sport started to fail. 1) I've read of other 2018 Honda Accord owners experiencing similar failures. 2) There is no way to permanently turn off some of the "safety" systems. 3) This is one of many other issues Honda keeps ignoring and refusing to really address. 4) Half of my work day was gone dealing with this nonsense. 5) This car can't really handle a normal Colorado snow day (the windshield vent is not sufficient, the factory-installed wipers are a joke, there are no warming elements on the windshield to keep the wipers form accumulating ice, the radar sensor on the front flips out with minimal amount of moisture freezing over it). 6) Mechanics, in not so many words, insinuated that Honda "does not do per-production R&D anymore, instead opting to use the customers and the dealers as the testers to find all the bugs the designers and the engineers were not willing to test for." 7) The issue turned out to be something with the radar sensor alignment (why?) and a Honda "case manager" swore that this would never happen again... Considering this happened around 15,000 miles, I won't be holding my breath.
