I love Rephr! I have a good collection of their brushes. I have a story to tell you about the owner. About a year ago I ordered one of their collections and my husband approached me the next day about bills for the month. Well, I felt terrible that I had placed this order. I sent Rephr an email to unfortunately cancel my order. The owner reached out and asked me why I was canceling my order and I told him exactly what had happened. He said, I’m sending this set to you FREE of charge! I actually had tears in my eyes and thanked him. I’m trying to pay that kindness forward. I will never forget that. 💜
I am so happy you brought up their donation because it touched my heart and really showed how awesome the company is. I love their brushes but even more than that I now love them for their kindness and reputation and how they honored Mel
I appreciate you adding that intro. Rephr has been raved about by so many creators and when I purchased my first few brushes I was unhappy because I didn't think they compared to Chikuhodo, Koyudo, Sonia G, etc in terms of quality and shape maintenance. It seemed only worth it at a discount to me. However, I did find that putting them in a brush guard solved the problem of them blooming far too much. And I kept trying other styles and shapes and eventually found a few that impressed me. Even a few of the brushes I didn't like at first, I ended up finding a place for them in my collection. The fact that they continue to take the feedback of customers to create new variations is why I didn't give up on the brand and continued to see what else they'd come up with. And because they've continued to give lower cost options. Overall, my opinion of them went from bad to fairly positive over the past year or two and it has the potential to get even higher if they continue the way they are now. I already made my newest purchase earlier this morning. lol.
@@xoxjelloxox I prefer rephr's face brushes over the eye brushes, just because I have similar styles from other brands that perform as well but are softer on my sensitive eyes. But if you're looking for eye brushes, 13 is great for detailed crease work. The other eye brushes I tried are 12 (a bit too rough for me), 15 and 16. The only reason I don't like 15 and 16 is purely because they're really large for my eye shape. Face brushes though, the 05 is great for blush, particularly if you don't want a lot of pigment at a time. Something a little airier. My favorite though is 24 because it's denser so I'm able to use it with sheerer blushes to pack it on or blushes that are a bit more hard pressed in the pan. It's also great for blending bronzer as well. In fact, I bought another one of 24 to give my sister as a gift. The only other face brushes of theirs I've tried are 17 and 19. 17 I use as a backup sculpting brush. The bristles are shorter than I would have liked but it's decent. And 19 is ok. Not special but not bad either. Overall though, I think is long as the shape of the face brush is appealing, you can't go wrong.
Thank you for your transparency, Morgan. I, for one, was wondering why so many creators pushed these brushes. I am a Sonia G. and Wayne Goss fan. But you explaining the quality of the brushes in addition to rephr being a company that treats people well actually has made me more likely to try out rephr brushes in the near future. Kindness and respect are very important values of mine and I try to patronize businesses that share these values. Great video, Morgan. You are a bright star 🌟 in the beauty community.
I can say for sure I really appreciate Rephr taking careful consideration with their shapes. Monolids are basically ignored by 99% of the makeup industry but they have maintained an active interest in seeing which shapes are monolid friendly.
As I live in Europe, Rephr brushes are in my opinion the most easily available for natural haired brushes. As you've said, lot's of people push and promote Rephr brushes and it might be a much but at least the information/ review on Rephr brushes are there for people to make up their own mind. I would love to order the Sonia G, Wayne Goss or Hakuhodo brushes, but the costs of the import duties/ taxes and tariffs always make me change my mind. A brush brand that I am very interested in Europe who offer synthetic, natural or mix brushes is Laetitia Lemak, however there isn't that much info on them. So that is why I usually just go back to Rephr. The order process, price for the quality, customer service, is all very satifactory. Do you know where the Modular Vanity pieces are made?
I’m so glad for all you have to share about Rephr. They treat their customers the exact same way. One thing that has greatly helped me keep my brush shaped is gently wringing out the majority of the water with 1st a microfiber towel then a paper towel. Then I make sure to shape them. Next I make 100% sure I dry my brushes upside down until they’re 109% dry. I’ve made a devise out of a brush roll and elastic. But my brushes hang upside down for the entire drying process.
Ordered all of the Holiday collection right at midnight EST and they have already shipped🥳 So happy they made a hooded eye collection! (Dear God, please don’t let this be a bad review).
I honestly get why Rephr has been raved about by creators. It’s unheard of to find fude at this price point. To me, it doesn’t matter that they “aren’t as good” as Sonia G or Wayne Goss brushes (both of which I’ve tried) because the average consumer can’t afford Japanese made brushes. Now, of course, these are still pricey for many, but compared to Sonia G, Wayne Goss, Chikuhodo, Koyudo, etc. these are quite inexpensive. I’ve also seen their customer service at work, as well as appreciate the unique brush shapes they create with the help of their consumers. To me, I don’t mind seeing Rephr being pushed regardless if they are the best of the best or not (and I consider them to be pretty great!). It’s dishonest brands with no integrity that creators rave about that frustrates me even if they have great products. 🤷🏻♀️ Edit: I know they made a mistake at the beginning but I don’t believe in writing people off, especially when they’ve worked to make it right.
I've had my core set for 2 years. I use brush guards to dry but I use and wash my Réphr brushes pretty much every second week and none are losing shape at all. I'm very pleased so far (and I have natural hair brushes in my collection that I've been using for 30 years now so I have very high expectations in terms of my brushes wearing and feeling like new for a LONG time).
Thank you for the honesty, I also really love the fact that they donated the amount that they did for Mels go fund me. It shows appreciation for their influencers. I don’t own any Sonia G or Wayne Goss but I do enjoy the Rephr brushes I do have. I haven’t had the flared out problem yet, we shall see. Thank you for the great information.
I saw the donation right off the bat to Mel. Wow. They care about PEOPLE that what makes the such a great company 3 men who are engineers. Love the back story
My REPHR brushes are the first REPHR launched and I'm still very happy with them. I have 6 Wayne Goss brushes and 2 brushes by Sonja G which I love, but with REPHR brushes I get good quality for an affordable price. Some Colourpop brushes and other cheap synthetic brushes I use regularly also. Every brush has its purpose and like Mel Thompson taught me that even some pressed expensive eyeshadows can only be used with a synthetic brush. Now I know how to use the right brushes for my Mothership I and V.
As an avid follower of makeup RUclips, I appreciate your transparency. It’s cool to know more about Rephr. I bought their brushes a while back and I. LOVE. THEM. Plus, their customer service is top notch. I’ve had no issue with them losing their shape or shedding - but I do use a brush guard and am very careful with my brushes. I’m a huge fan. I know their early marketing put off some people, but I think they’ve shifted their stance significantly. I’ll keep buying rephr brushes in the future - I can’t wait to look at the sale!!
Rephr is blowing up my timeline… but man that marketing works. Lord knows I do not need any more brushes. But did I just buy the holiday face set and the blender set…. I sure did.
I just placed my first Rephr order on Friday-loving that they make them so accessible, affordable, and have a line for hooded babes! I’m all about supporting them and plan to make all brush purchases through Rephr going forward.
why would anyone buy rephr ??? Three non handmade brushes at 220 when you can get the whole set of 5 ( FIVE) Sonia G Sky Face brushes for 270 on beautylish??? even at the 40% off price of 136 I'd rather get the 85 master face brush and any other 60 Sonia G brush and have something high quality and long lasting - that absolutely maintains its shape on its own after washing. SUPPORT WOMEN OWNED BUSINESSES!!!!
As far as I recall they are handmade brushes. I agree that they are not up their in quality when comparing them to Sonia G or other higher tier Fude; but they do their job. Supporting women is great 👍🏼 reason to buy but some people may not have access to any other Fude so this is it for them.
I prefer to purchase from women owned brands too but I’m wondering if you order from male owned makeup brands-Wayne Goss, NARS, Marc Jacobs, Too Faced, Dior, etc.?
Because those SG brushes cost closer to $400.00 in Australia, compared to less than $200 to get the Réphr brushes. And Beautylish frequently has no stock ... like right now. But I do see where you are coming from and I can see why you feel that way, it's totally valid.
I agree! I have small eyes and hooded lids. Rephr brushes especially the hooded eye set has been a game changer for me. Seeing their donation to Mel was just a bonus.
I recently bought a whole lot of rephr brushes and one of the holiday sets, and I am seriously in love. I had been holding off from buying them for so long and then I finally bought them. I am so glad I bought them as they are super super amazing. The sizes and shapes work perfectly for my eye looks.
Appreciate the honesty especially regarding quality. Seen loads of reviewers gloss over this and it is the most vital element of any brush review! I have a fair number of Fude brushes from a wide variety of brands and I would certainly not place Rephr any where near the upper tier with regards to their brush quality, this includes bristles and ferrules. More like top of the bottom tier, so way better than the likes of Zoeva who also use natural hair bristles but certainly not on par with the likes of Koyudo, Chikuhodo, Kyureido, Bisyodo Houkodou etc. Rephr to me are my entry level day to day workhorse brushes, which funnily enough makes them some of my most used in my collection. I have also purchased some Chinese natural hair brushes from AliExpress, ShouShouLang brand being one that I was quite impressed with.
Thanks for the insights. I am breaking into the Fude market but our access in Australia is limited (shipping is horrific and spending so much when I can't see the brush is hard). My collection is presently dominated by Zoeva but I have the Réphr core set and they are better. Do you have a favourite? I have very small, hooded eyes so always looking for small brushes.
@@jaycreswell7008 you might want to try CD Japan they stock a fair number of Fude brands. They usually have discounts and you can go as crazy expensive or cost effective (xheap) as you want.
You absolutely get what you pay for with Rephr! They require a bit more care with cleaning, but they're no different than my OG natural hair Mac brushes. I have a 10yo 217 that's still hanging in there😄 I started using brush guards about 7 years ago, and they are so worth it. If you want better quality, be ready to pay for it. I have Fude that are half a month's rent. If you're not trying to break the bank, they are great entry level brushes.
Rephr has amazing customer service, amazing brushes and they just all around are a great brand I will continue to buy from them forever. I have Sonia g and Wayne as well and these are more affordable and are great quality.
You can get 12 very good quality brushes for less than thirty dollars from BH Cosmetics. And they stand up to washing. I dry them with the handles slightly higher than the brush layed out flat. I put something under the handles to angle the ferrel downward so water doesn't get up inside the brush. I shape the brush and then allow them to dry. I have some brushes that are a decade old with bamboo handles from Real Techniques. I got some Alamar brushes in a Boxy Charm that fell apart after just a few washes! They were valued at $20.00 for three brushes. The whole brush head just pulled out of the handle.
There are definitely decent brushes at a much lower price point. My personal favourites are zeova and sigma brushes, especially if there’s a sale going on, as they’re not as expensive as Japanese handmades, but they’re still a bit of a splurge for the average consumer. Having said all this, bh cosmetics brushes are good, but not amazing. IMO Zoeva and sigma are excellent, and cheaper brushes just do not compare once you’ve tried the better brands.
Unfortunately their online presence at the start has left a bad taste in my mouth. Their entire pitch was them being MALE engineers that were very vocal about never having used makeup and having no experience in the beauty industry, while simultaneously claiming that they were here to show us makeup buyers how to buy/use makeup brushes "correctly". I know they've since apologised for their earlier comments but it was just super patronising and off-putting IMO.
I have found that no one on reddit likes rephr at all for this exact reason. patronizing, man-splainy, and generally left a lot of women and makeup users feeling rebuked. that being said, I haven't heard anything from creators about their attitudes being bad. maybe just a mistake or significant ignorance at worst.
I wish I knew this before I made an order, I find that patronizing attitude super off putting, hopefully I can cancel my order if not, it'll be the last time I order from them. Lots of other brands anyway
I was totally put off them at first for the exact same reason. Then Rephr apparently noticed my brush declutter video where I totally roasted their brushes and they reached out sending me replacements in case they were defective, and a couple of new ones to see if they would be more friendly for monolids. I was really surprised at how interested they were in my criticism so I was very happy to give them more feedback, which again they really appreciated and they happily sent the holiday collection my way. I can see that they have changed their tune significantly and I can say for sure most brands would be totally pissed off at my roast but Rephr maintains an active interest in my reviews whether positive or negative and I can respect that. Particularly that they even care about the friendliness of their shapes for monolids, an eye shape that is basically ignored by 99% of the makeup industry.
@@simplylc6887 I think they saw their mistake. My opinion of them improved with substancial donation to the Go Fund Me to help the children of Mel Thompson. But i understand your point of view, very unfortunate comments by the Rpher team.
They are a brilliant company i love the brushes 😍, i use the little nets when i wash them and they really keep the shape, i bought the new brush collection and i added in component A, the hard thing for me is choosing which affiliated link to use, i love so many RUclips channels x
Something that I do for my natural hair brushes for painting or makeup is casting them in aloe vera after I wash and semi blot them dry. The aloe helps to keep their shape longer and helps to condition the bristles. I have had some natural watercolor brushes for over two decades because I always cast them after use.
Thank you for doing this. It's good to know that they treat you right makes me feel better about purchasing them. I love my repher brushes love the eye brushes and blush and bronzer brushes.
i love rephr! i like them better than either wayne goss and sonia g....i reach for rephr first! and frankly once i saw what they contributed to mel i wrote them....and i am a customer for life because of that!!!
@@jaycreswell7008 well weirdly enough sonia g is just not comfortable in my hand....the eye brushes feel too big for my eye or something...it's just not a fit. wayne's are fine i just like how rephr treats people and their price and customer service is great...and their brushes are lovely
@@annesagendorphmoon no, I totally understand. It's exactly what I was worried about looking at them on line - they just looked awkwardly big, even the smaller ones. Thank you.
I’ve been debating this set since I have all the other brushes and LOVE rephr! Your video tipped me over the edge and I could use your link! So glad! Can’t wait!
OMG Morgan! You always come through girl! I just got my first ever package from Rephr and I was thinking, these feel so flimsy why in the world is everyone raving over these! I just expected more. (Long time sigma girl here) so I decided to Google "what's so great about Rephr brushes" and your video came up. I feel so much better after watching this and running to Amazon to buy those brush shapers before I ever wash these. Keep up the amazing content! Lots of love
I appreciate that Rephr seems to take care of the creators I watch. I've been eyeing a few of the brushes, but it's the time of year to start holiday shopping for others. One day.....one day..
omg SO SO glad the rephr holiday stuff has been released now! however, I do know that rephr doesn't have the greatest reputation in the community outside of creator space. they're very "mansplainy" from what I have heard online. That being said, I don't believe in blaming people just because of their privileges. Yes, they were outsiders, but from what you and others have said, it doesn't seem like they were purposely being rude. I have to respect their hustle and how they are always iterating. Plus, love for Kumano Japan! They never take away from the Japanese craftsmanship and/or pass it off as their own. I might be giving them a try this year, finally!
I’ve always wanted to try the rephr brushes. I finally bought a bunch this morning and they shipped already. I always hear creators talk about how kind the owners are and they really drew me in. It’s nice to see a brand that actually cares about their customers.
Before covid, I always got natural hair brushes from China when I went to visit my family and friends. A 12- piece set for eye and face cost 60-80 dollars and they were very good quality, all hand made. I did not experience any change of shapes and they feel amazing on my face. My dad who buys writing brushes for calligraphy likes my brushes😂!!
I hear you. I at first was even using craft brushes. But I did not want to buy from China anymore. This lead me into the world of fude, and I have enjoyed it ever since. I don't own rephr brushes. I do own mostly Sonia G. brushes. These are softer on my skin and do a great job with my products. I like the back story of the brushes....the craftsmanship. Perhaps try one of a shape that really intrigues you.
I have mostly Zoeva (among Dior, Nars, Jane Iredale, Tarte, Bobby Brown and a few others) as well as the Réphr core set. I don't own any other Fude brushes, WG, SG etc. ANY brush that's half decent can do the job, the difference is how easily they get the job done, how they pick up and disperse product. The Réphr are the softest brushes I have and they have excellent pick up without needing to swirl or dig too much and if the powder is soft pressed or loose they don't pick up too much (no need to "tap off"). Then when you go to blend, they are cut so that they create a blended edge in one swipe (as opposed to "lay it down" then go back in to blend the edges). They apply product more evenly, that is they don't create a "spot" of colour where you first place the brush that you then have to blend out, instead they lay a steady stream of colour that fades evenly out as you swipe. They do a lot of the work for you. Zoeva are great, hence why I have so many, but the Réphr are just a whole level up in terms of smooth, fast, easy, mistake proof application.
@@jaycreswell7008 Wow I never thought I needed those expensive brushes till I read your comment. Sounds so great! Maybe I should try those one day. Thank you for explanation.
I love watching this video..seeing how you can use the different brushes and, the storage units are cool. I shall be using your link in a few weeks to buy a set as they're now shipping to the UK. Thanks Morgan xx
When I transitioned to FUDE, I was deciding on getting either 8-12 Wayne Goss+Sonia G brushes or the whole collection from Rephr. I found a blog post by Temptalia advocating against this brand (focus was on how the creators were male engineers that wanted to enter this field) and it forever tainted my perception of this brand. I want to buy FUDE from people that love and use makeup as much as I do
Great review, thank you. I still need to place my order for the holiday releases. I appreciate the demonstration on how to use the “hoof” brush, thanks! 💞
I did makeup for BE in the 2000s and have had an extensive collection of amazing brushes for many years. They get used! I take care of my brushes accordingly. That said, I have not had any of my Rephr brushes yet lose their shape or become over-relaxed. Even the largest 25 and 22 are not misshapen in the slightest. I’d even hoped the 25 would puff a little because that’s how I like them. I do not use brush guards. Just wanted to mention a different experience. I’m not in any one brand camp more than others. Ok, except Morphe. They always rubbed me the wrong way. 😅
The first set of brushes I bought from morphe were wonderful. I went for a 2nd set and they were stiff, rough, and frayed after first use. I hate how they're such a hit or miss. You'd think they'd have perfected their products by now.
Great video I think the reason why i always look forward to your reviews is because you seem to me very honest and truthful (if their not the same), thank you for the tip on how to care for the brushes because i was having the same issue, maybe rephr sells those brush guards too! I love the idea of the storage containers the only thing thats off putting is the color I’m more of a less visual clutter person but otherwise amazing video as always.
I love Rephr! When they first released their products, I bought the travel sized collection. I have horrible eyesight which means that I do my makeup very close to my mirror. Full length brushes often hit my mirror and the travel sized handles do not. I messaged them about ordering a #02 brush with a travel sized handle (not offered online) and they accommodated me and sold me the brush. I'm not sure if they would do that now because I could always use more brushes. :)
I’ve been hearing so much about these brushes I can’t wait to get my hands. I really agree with you on how Rephr treats content creators. I have a smaller channel and reached out to them for an affiliate link. Tom responsed to me right and sent me most of their brushes and the module
I also hate the way they presented themselves as some male engineers with no idea about makeup that come to fix the problem. I believe Temptalia didn't review any brushes from them for this reason. Our of curiosity I ordered a few to try. I think their brushes are ok but way too over hyped. It is definitely much better than a morphe brush. But I personally prefer brushes from Hakuhodo. They have a lot of affordable option, and they a lot of small eye brushes if you are looking for those. They have sooooo many different size that sometimes it is quite difficult to choose from. I think if you can get the Rephr face brushes at around $30-40 it is pretty good deal. For the eye brushes I think Hakuhodo offers better option for similar or slightly higher price.
Brush 21 it's the best of their type in the market. They are in fact more affordable, but are certainly pretty good. Bring an engineer it's not a problem if they are doing the proper research as they did. It will be the same as Thousands of people that study business and start any business, that might know very little in the field were they business is, don't need to be experts to start a business, so I'm sorry but that opinion it's not week support it.
@@brendamoreno4345 yes I think some of the face brushes are pretty good deal if they are in the $30-40 range. I'm not sure what is the usual price or discount for the brush 21, but it is marked as $110, which reminds me another thing that I really hate is that, they always mark up their price and then heavily discount them. If it is $110 I would definitely go for japanese fude company driectly. But I know nobody is getting it at $110.
@@iamsaisai you are confusing the brush dear. Brush 21 is not a face brush. It is price at 24 dollars and has been on sale for a long time ($15 you can get it for). It is a shimmers shader brush of a blend of hairs natural with synthetic. Basically the replacement/ dupe for the Mac 242. This was Mel Thompson one of her favorites brushes.
I heard some mixed things about rephr but decided to try for myself because the price is so reasonable, they give great deals, customer service is great, and they always take feedback from customers seriously... I expected to be disappointed because I am a die hard sonia G, wayne goss fan but I actually LOVE my rephr brushes. They are super super soft and have an "airy" quality to them (hard to explain) that matches my makeup style of diffused looks well. Their shapes work amazing for my hooded small asian eyes :)
I held off of Rephr for so long, because I just thought You Tubers we pushing them for $$$. My first set was the Core Eye set, I fell in love with them. Now 3 months later ( give or take) I have every one of their brushes, and have no regrets. I was a MAC brush user (original MAC) and I put those away, after trying Rephr.
Brush guards are a must with these brushes. You won’t have issues with bushes if you use the brush guard. I love the eye brushes. Can live without the face brushes.
Thanks for mentioning their hoof brush. I have several of the Trish hoof brushes, which I love for carving a crease on my small, hooded lids. Agree that shape is hard to find now.
Lol - I came here thinking I was going to be talked out of the modular vanity set and I now I want it even more 😂😂😂💖 Great video! I love my Rephr brushes. My eyes are small, deep set, and hooded and the number 23 and number 29 have changed my lower lash line game!
I found this video very helpful! I have been a little skeptical of Rephr since it is sooooo talked about and seemed pushy at times. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and honest thoughts on the brand.
I'm not used to you being so serious! 😂 Hey another tip on the cleaning/losing their shape issue... I was using a bar brush soap to clean mine and they got really wild. Then I saw a thing about washing brushes in Dove liquid body wash and once I tried it I haven't looked back! It really helps condition the bristles. And when I squeeze the water out, I gently reshape them inside a microfiber towel, like sort of rolling and gently pulling.
I have made 4 purchases through your links for Refr and I tell you I love them, but this was a great video, you just made me love them even more!!! I didn’t know these things about the company it’s nice to feel like we know them a bit! Well I think they will make a great Christmas gift so I’m off to shop!! Cheers and love as always from Canada 🇨🇦
Of the natural hair brushes, i have Sonia G, Wayne Goss, MAC, Esum, Smith cosmetics, and love love Rephr brushes, agree on rephr having some of the best shapes. And I am loving this orange eye look
I’ve been impressed by Rephr. I love my Sonia G and Wayne Gods brushes but the OG are Hakuhodo - they’ve got a long and distinguished history of making and selling Japanese handmade, artisan brushes at a very reasonable price given the quality and they’ve got an unbelievably huge range of brushes with different hair types. I think they’re still the cheapest on the market and amazing quality - I’ve had mine for over 10 years and they’re still perfect
I’ve bought duplicates of the crease bundle and have a few others and I honestly tend to neglect my other brushes. I have a few larger brushes as well and like them but I’m not gonna lie the larger brushes are not bad but I do have other brushes I love more but as far as the eye brushes chefs kiss. I have hooded eyes and they work beautifully
No one mentions this! There are so many ppl giving 💩 to creators about cruelty free makeup options. Where are these ppl when it comes to talking about goat hair brushes? Or squirrel or pony of other brands?? I’m not taking sides but I wonder if their comments are getting deleted. 🤔
I haven't heard anyone mention brush guards in over 10 years! It was great hearing your experience with the brand and comparing them with other brands. Thanks for sharing that. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to natural hair brushes so I won't be purchasing any.
I haven’t tried Sonia G, but I prefer Rephr to Wayne Goss brushes. They’re both good, but for whatever reason I tend to reach for my Rephr brushes over all others.
I really appreciate you for taking the time to talk about this brand. I truly trust your opinions and it's because of you that I have the 13 and 14. I have the hooded eye set in my cart and see if I can swing it but you're loved thank you for all your information that you always provide us with. 👋💋💋🥰🥰💜💜🔥👍👍🎃
The brush holders NEED LIDS! The other components are nice, but a swing and a miss on the brush holders. I need my brushes protected from dust and other things. Especially, expensive Japanese brushes! I hope they add lids or a drawer system to the set.
I actually store mine in a mini pedestal office desk, the bottom drawer that was supposed to be for filing houses in acrylic square pots my brushes. So no dust or creepy crawlies; I also use Silica Gel sachets. Any brushes of mine that are not in current rotation are laid down flat and stored in Paulowina Wooden boxes or Muji Acrylic drawers lined with plush cloth. Got some expensive brushes so need to care for them.
@@420Zara I can't get Muji drawers where I live or the Impressions Vanity drawers without paying double for shipping, duties and taxes. I store mine in drawers in open acrylic containers. I'd just really love a drawer system like the Impressions Vanity or brush holders with lids to free up my drawers. BTW I own all of Rephr's brushes (all bought with my own money) and have never had any issues with their brushes as far as quality. IDK how people care for delicate natural haired brushes, but all of the Japanese brush companies give very specific care instructions on how to wash and care for these types of brushes. Maybe Hahuhodo, Sonia G and Goss have different handles/ferrules, but the actual brush is almost identical on some of the designs. I love my Rephr brushes!
Do you think the 31 brush would work good for cream blush or bronzer? I want to buy the new set but I don’t wear foundation so I’m looking for another use for that brush to justify buying the set.
I am seriously about to buy the whole launch set and the big powder brush. I've never used any high end brushes before. How do these compare to cheaper goat hair brushes? Like morphe?
I just watched some of your older videos with the 6 pan PM palettes :) you were so young ( I know you still are lol) :) thanks for this because I’ve been curious about these brushes since I was collecting others from creators.
I've bought some rephr brushes and they're great but I won't buy more as I want to try other brands like Bk brushes, Wayne Goss and Sonia G slowly... 😅
I only use blinged brushes and the both of the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe brush sets but I want to try Rephr brush’s and Sonia G brushes so bad!! Can you a brush favorites videos showing your top 20-30 face and eye brushes please!!
they are the best....that's so how they operate.....that's why they get me for life. esp. after the contribution to mel's go fund me.
Oh wow....that's amazing !!
😍😍🙏🏼🙏🏼
I was on the fence about ordering the set and after reading your comment, I will definitely buy these brushes. That is amazingly kind of him.
This comment is the reason I jumped to buy the 18 brush set a few weeks ago. Thanks for sharing your story!
I am so happy you brought up their donation because it touched my heart and really showed how awesome the company is. I love their brushes but even more than that I now love them for their kindness and reputation and how they honored Mel
me too!!!
Touched me deeply! Just placed my first order
I already made my newest purchase earlier this morning. lol.
Thank you for sharing your experience!
Which brushes do you recommend?
Thank you for watching Miri. 💕💕
I sure did.
Me too. I got an email in the weee hrs Of the morning and purchased early
I just placed my first Rephr order on Friday-loving that they make them so accessible, affordable, and have a line for hooded babes! I’m all about supporting them and plan to make all brush purchases through Rephr going forward.
I can say from experience Rephr is a great brand with great customer service.
Always love your transparency Morgan! And it feels good knowing that our money goes to good people like Rephr lol
why would anyone buy rephr ??? Three non handmade brushes at 220 when you can get the whole set of 5 ( FIVE) Sonia G Sky Face brushes for 270 on beautylish??? even at the 40% off price of 136 I'd rather get the 85 master face brush and any other 60 Sonia G brush and have something high quality and long lasting - that absolutely maintains its shape on its own after washing. SUPPORT WOMEN OWNED BUSINESSES!!!!
Totally!!
Because they sell in europe.
Great video! I appreciate knowing why so many many influencers are Rephr “pushers.” Thank you for demoing the new brushes and the storage components.
I agree! I have small eyes and hooded lids. Rephr brushes especially the hooded eye set has been a game changer for me. Seeing their donation to Mel was just a bonus.
Omg I’m probably old enough to be your mom and I totally had that Trish mcvoy brush with the gold handle! Memories lol
Can’t wait to get my order! I love my Rephr brushes!
By the way I do own may WG, Chikohudo, Hakohudo, Sonia G. One of Sonia G is my most hated brush, builder one
The nets make the biggest difference!
@@MorganTurnerMakeup they really do, my brushes look just as good as the day i bought them
Something that I do for my natural hair brushes for painting or makeup is casting them in aloe vera after I wash and semi blot them dry.
Thanks Morgan- great review. I love Rephr and the holiday set is a great deal! Can you please include the link for the brush guards?
i love rephr! i like them better than either wayne goss and sonia g....i reach for rephr first! and frankly once i saw what they contributed to mel i wrote them....and i am a customer for life because of that!!!
Can you tell me why you like them better? I have Réphr but I don't have WG or SG and I'm really curious.
Thank you.
@@jaycreswell7008 you are very welcome!!
Me - 😮 when I see your hack using the pointed end of the hoof brush. 😮🤭🥰
I love learning more about the company. I just got some repher brushes and I love them too.
Yeah....
No.
@@karenbrower9952 no… what
I’ve always wanted to try the rephr brushes.
I’m genuinely interested what can 270$ brushes do what my Zoeva and RT brushes can’t
@@denisemarie6131 thank you, I hope I’ll be able to afford one of those some day :)
Your support is so very appreciated!
I want to buy FUDE from people that love and use makeup as much as I do
I have Rephr brushes and Sonya G brushes. Sonya G much much softer and I like them more but of course they cost more but you get what you pay for.
MORGAN.. Please share your HolyGrail Brushes on a video please! Would be so nice to know which ones u can’t live without! 😍🥰😘
Great review, thank you. I still need to place my order for the holiday releases. I appreciate the demonstration on how to use the “hoof” brush, thanks! 💞
The “hoof” brushes are my FAVE!!! I have multiples of them from Moda and BH Cosmetics.
Thanks for showing those shape savers to use after washing them-do you have the link for those?
Rephr makes great brushes, has fantastic sales and the best part is that they're a Canadian company!!! ❤❤❤❤
So happy you love them!
Thanks for the brush guard tip! I bought some and used them on my brushes and its true my brushes are good as new, thanks to you.
The morphe comment 😂
I ordered the flagship set through your link, so excited!! 😍😍😍
Thank you for the tip about the brush guards, I've been struggling with this for the past few months.
I still have my Trish McAvoy "hoof" brush!!!! And it's still my go to for a fast eye makeup look
Great video! Glad you were straightforward and honest. Purchased with your link
I found this video very helpful! I have been a little skeptical of Rephr since it is sooooo talked about and seemed pushy at times. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and honest thoughts on the brand.
I did want to acknowledge the push lol but wanted to give my honest thoughts! Thank you for watching!
I just ordered the hooded eyeshadow set through the link provided. I have quite a few Rephr brushes and I do like them.
I'm not used to you being so serious! 😂
Hey another tip on the cleaning/losing their shape issue...
Wait your from Maryland...omg me to... that's so cool
Of the natural hair brushes, i have Sonia G, Wayne Goss, MAC, Esum, Smith cosmetics, and love love Rephr brushes, agree on rephr having some of the best shapes. And I am loving this orange eye look
Morgan how do we purchase the longer lacquered handle brushes? I’ve bought all these rephr brushes but always get the shorter cheaper handles
Oh Wow thank you so much for the Amazon covers tip! I bought the first 3 on sale months ago and did feel they frayed just like the Morphe ones.
I’ve got so much respect for them now after seeing them donate $10k to Mel’s Family. May finally order some brushes!
Rewatched this vid again. Am interested in brushes for hooded eyes... thanks for your info.
Thanks for the brush wrap advice after washing brushes!
Can you please tell me how they source the hair for the brushes?
No one mentions this! There are so many ppl giving 💩 to creators about cruelty free makeup options. Where are these ppl when it comes to talking about goat hair brushes? Or squirrel or pony of other brands?? I’m not taking sides but I wonder if their comments are getting deleted. 🤔
Thank you for telling us the culture of the Rephr company that speaks volumes!
I love the organization sets😍
I haven't heard anyone mention brush guards in over 10 years!
It was great hearing your experience with the brand and comparing them with other brands. Thanks for sharing that. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to natural hair brushes so I won't be purchasing any.
Thank you so much for this video Morgan. It was so helpful! 😘
I remember that old school Trish McEvoy angled brush. 😉
Big throwback!
Thank you for the info on the new brushes, I decided to pick up the Flagship 6 piece eye set
Enjoyed. Great coverage on the products and company.
The brush holders NEED LIDS! The other components are nice, but a swing and a miss on the brush holders. I need my brushes protected from dust and other things. Especially, expensive Japanese brushes! I hope they add lids or a drawer system to the set.
Omg this is a fabulous idea!
I love that type of brush for concelaer
I love my rephr brushes I only have all the eye brushes so far 🥰 excellent quality fast shipping
I appreciate your in depth review!
Omg Morgan I had a feeling you were Bite size but you are seriously only 4'9"??
I have and still use my Trish McEvoy hoof brush!
I keep holding off on pulling the trigger on Sonya G or WG brushes. I need to just start buying them one at a time I guess, but that’s less fun. 😁
