Yea... Just had to change mine out. Gotta wiggle the dam thing back and forth to heck and back... Ended up cutting a channel with a Dremel. But that shoots out the metal inside of the sensor. Wear Eye Pro. and expect to shatter the Dremel disk on the littlest mistake. (3 x). then I wiggled it to death to get it off. But some gun grease or whatever you got on that pin before replacing. Man, its smooth and sweet now.
Mine is just stuck in park..starts up fine brake lights work... This seems like an easy junkyard snag. Wonder what years it fits? Mines a v10 4r100. Good chance my trans is just grenaded and i don't really wanna blow $90 on a new sensor just to find out. Cant even drive it off a cliff or even tow it! May have to pull the driveshafts to move it...
Unfortunately this was a few years ago at this point and I no longer own the truck. The other comments on this video have some decent advice on getting it pulled out as well.
How do you get the tab off the white piece that connects the shifter lever....UPDATE.. it’s the cable end that was connected to the shift lever thought it come with the NSS and mine was seized on took a pry bar to get it off and the white inner ring of the neutral safety is still seized on the shift lever of the trans
thats exactly it, used a crowbar, was bending the crap out of it but eventually it popped off, you could probably cut it off but have to be careful not to nick the stub
@@fancypolak well it worked. Like you I bent the hell out of the side of my trans pan but nothing Critical just cosmetic. Boy was it a bitch to get off though as plastic from the old one was cracking as I was prying it out. Damn swrich caused me to have to also replace my shifter tube and my over drive switch cuz I broke both trying to get it in park.
Yeah when I replaced it I was bending the living hell out of it until popped off, it was really on there, didn't even end up breaking it. Good luck with it!
@@nonagreeable as long as you don't damage the actual metal stub that it slides on to (you can see it's keyed to slip on there), I don't see why it would matter, as long as you already have the replacement.
Main issue was that the shifter was super difficult to put into any gear and was difficult to line up (ie: you couldn't really feel what gear you had it in P-RND21) and the other issue was occasionally I'd have to jiggle the shifter in park or neutral to get it to start, otherwise it wouldn't crank. Both those issues should be fixed now with this new TRS because now it slides and clicks nicely into gears and I believe the neutral safety switch is built into this device. Thanks for the comment and subscribe! Let me know if you have any other questions.

My 1999 was seized to the shaft too. Used a dremmel to "V" notch it and pry it off. Easy job.
I just experienced this. That sensor was so hard to get off. Thanx for the video bro💪
It was a pain! Thanks for watching!!
Going through the same thing. Holy shit. It’s like welded to the shaft.
yeah its ridiculous how stuck on it gets!
Hey thanks! This was the video I was looking for.
Glad it helped!

Any tips for getting the electrical I clipped? Mine stuck

Good old Michigan rust???

I believe that one just slides off the top of it, easier said than done though depending on how much rust you got lol
So all you used was the crow bar. Mine is frozen on there and been soaking in PB blaster for weeks and still can't get it off.

Could you use a torch to heat up the stud that it sits on?
Fancy Polak thanks
NO!!! If you do, you'll melt the shaft seal and have big problems!
Yeah you will melt your shaft seal
Gotta doi mine..is it gonna drivers or passenger side
Its been a few years but on mine it was on the drivers side it looks like
