When fighting duramboros it's not. But when fighting other monsters, usually a 3rd charge is better. The damage you get from arc shot is slightly higher than a 3rd level shot but your better off using a 3rd level charge more frequently as it dishes out more damage in the long run. Cheers!

I know this a very late reply but gold rathian weakness is the legs and not the head
that is for sure, raw is better
