You know what I love about this video? It's so damn simple. You don't have the 20 minute backstory. He just tells you what you need, and timelapses himself doing it to show you, which is perfect. Short sweet and to the point. Great video!
Omg you speak the truth! I love people who just get on with it. Thanks for a great simple "just do it" video. Love those brackets.. I'm going to get some!
Installed these on a riding mower ruclips.net/user/postUgkxetgfkJxfdT_B2vGYP-uNTLaBbim9OKTD . They were sharp out of the box, although I've never liked blade edges that were coated...not quite as sharp as I personally want. Using my belt sander, I removed the coating from the cutting edges and refined the edge enough to shave with them. So far, after three runs, these blades are holding up as expected. Even after hitting a few fallen 1/2 inch or so branches, the edges are still sharp as heck. No edge dings, no warping, etc. As far as installing them, the cutouts were of the proper size and shape to fit my aging Craftsman mower. Very satisfied.
I've been a cabinetmaker for 20 years and I think you did an excellent job. Also, a warmed mixture of beeswax and mineral oil works great on wood (and it's food safe).
Build you a work table, that would be an awesome, useful project. Oh yeah, that’s what you built. These brackets are what I’m looking for info on. Many thanks- for the simplicity of project.
This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!
Thank you! for years I wanted to have a folding table by my second floor window. However, since I am not a carpenter, I was only wishing. Now, I am able to enjoy my folding table outside. Thanks again.
I have four 20 inch brackets for a flip top tool cart and two pair of sixteen inch brackets for infeed/outfeed tables for a drum sander will really save space when not using machine. If you don't want to look at the screw heads do as i do countersink drive screws plug flush cut then sand smooth.
Thanks Bo.. good idea. I see there's some BIG stainless steel brackets too.. 330# 16" model runs $30 for two right now, and these will help make a great flip up table extension for my outdoor pizza oven's stainless steel table, wow a new pop-up prep area!!! Cheers!
Thanks for this video! Like another person said, it is nice to see a pro do it, but I am not a pro, and therefor want to see it done like you've done it. I have little time and patience lol
Good stuff. How would you go about assembling a reverse (or flip-down instead of up) wall mount? The same folding brackets could be reversed but then the table would hang below them when flipped down instead of resting on top of the brackets. I need it to be flip-down because I need more length than is possible from bracket height to floor and can get more height for that by doing it reverse and pushing the table up against the wall (bracket to ceiling greater length) when not in use. It's for a fairly small garage to use as an extension table for rip cuts with table saw (also a folding model). Don't know if reverse-orientation folding brackets exist or a workaround to this.
Great video. You made me laugh at your cavalier attitude, just love it. Anyone can make this and refine it if they wanted to. Thanks for sharing. Keep on RING or Camoervanning as we say in the UK 🇬🇧
Nice! I just bought two of these... one with 20" arms, and the other with 16" arms... the bigger one will be to mount a dining/computer table on the balcony, and the shorter one to mount a seat in the shower... Thanks for the vid!
Thank you. Love the balcony idea! We are doing a shower remodel this summer and plan to do the same thing. Good luck with your projects and thanks again!
Than you and thanks for taking the time. Max load capacity: 550lb/set. make sense to me cause it takes both hands to push the lever to unlock and put it down. Would be hard with 4. Thanks again!
Could you do this, but make it a counter top? And make it flip up? Even with a catching hook? Basically I have a floor door for my basement that I I don’t open often, but need a flipping counter just like this! Thanks!!!
Would you needle an issue I need to resolve. Unable to do pull out shelf below studio desk for keyboard. I need to have a system where I can pull a shelf with the keyboard out and push down to be on the desk - when needed. It is a space issue. I have a 88 key electric and a midi keyboard 59 keys. I built a slide out garage years ago for the large one - but now with a new space (smaller) there is just not enough room with more keypads, thus I need to pull down to desk level, record on a solid shelf and push back up and away. Could you think about this and see if you have any ideas. If I could send a picture I would but I do not know how on here.
Great video and info demo of the brackets. I'm looking at how to make a fold out bed in a small cargo trailer conversion. These brackets just might be the answer, Thank you !!

Sorry for the late reply. Maybe the heavy-duty 350 lbs might work. I would be worried about the middle.
this is possibly the greatest woodworking/handyman youtube video of all time
No no way

You could pick up "peel & press" or self adhesive laminate squares from the dollar store. Cover up those holes :)

that'll work just fine! great video!

Nicely done. I presume the stated weight capacity is for a pair, not per unit? I see some that are rated for 550 lbs., but are sold in 4 packs.

Thanks for the video I love this can the brackets be used the opposite way flip up instead of flip down.
Not sure I understand the questions. It does flip up. And then when you release the tabs it flips down. But there are a few creative ways to use them.
Thank you so much, I'm going to put one in my yard.
Awesome! Glad it helped!
Good stuff Bo

Would I need anything to check if I can drill into the wall? I’m not sure what device that would be or if it’s necessary
Maybe a stud finder www.homedepot.com/s/stud%20finder?NCNI-5
EXACTLY what I need to extend surface area to convert futon mattress from sofa to bed in my small RV.
GREAT Idea and happy it was helpful! Thanks for watching and the comment.
Could these be used in reverse? I want the desktop to fold UP not down, but I’m wondering how much weight these brackets will hold when used that way.
I would get the heavy-duty and use bolts and nuts. Not sure that is the right way,,, and not what designed for... :-)
Love it
Thank you
do you think these would work on IKEA lagkapten desks they're quite cheap and flimsy just wondering as screws may not work
I do not know IKEA product so not sure. Maybe glue if screws don't work
@@TheeLightningMan ok thanks you did a VERY good tutorial though thanks for the links though it's going to save me time and money 👍
