I’ve honestly always preferred Anna over Elsa and it’s obvious she was the main character of the first Frozen yet most put their attention and praise onto Elsa despite the latter being more of a side character and having less screen time compared to Anna. And I’m going to give a hot take, but I actually don’t mind her becoming queen of Arandelle at the end of Frozen II and think it’s a great and satisfying conclusion to her character arc and I don’t think needs to be undone by Frozen III and IV.
Anna probably comes off as having more personality since Elsa (due to her background) is much more guarded. I don't think they'll undo her being queen, but I do hope we see more of Elsa's identity and story independent of being the Snow Queen.

Anna wouldn’t be half the character she is without her voice actress Kristen Bell is absolutely amazing in this role she really nails her personality and quirks and say what you will about Elsa but the sisterly chemistry between Kristen and Idina menzel is just perfect
I like both sisters equally, but because of the over the top favoritism and hype for Elsa, I tend to lean more towards Anna just to try to balance it out. Some people just flat out act like Anna isn't even in the movie!!!
IDK what changed your mind about the Frozens, but I'm glad! I like Anna, but part 2 made me kind of annoyed with how poorly her relationship with Kristoff was characterized. The proposal felt unearned because we see his love for her, but not really the depth of her love for him.

In his previous videos he discussed the flaws, and Anna barely comes up at all. Notice how the only times she comes up is in relation to another character. In this videos, he talks about the primary virtue of the video--Anna's character arc. Naturally, the focus is on Anna--arguably the best part of the franchise. Anna _can_ be a great character, Han can ruin the movie with how poor his execution is as a twist villain, and Elsa can be meh, fine but overhyped all in the same franchise.

While she is a great character in part 1, I feel like, despite having a strong character arc/song in part 2 (arguably the best one in part 2, imo), her codependency does what it does best: it fails to embody her as a character independent of Elsa. As such, Anna (and her relationship in Kristoff) isn't really satisfying to me in part 2.

I’ll admit I LITERALLY have no complaints about Anna from Frozen(I’m mostly speaking from the first movie’s perspective). Whereas almost everything else has tons of issues. Anna’s one of the pros of Frozen’s story

She just fell in loved with Hans that she just met, assumed that Hans is evil after the twist, and she just says that Hans won't get away, that she was wrong from the beginning and that Hans has a frozen heart. Honestly, I still don't like Anna. She's like Tom Holland's Spiderman. An impulsive idiot whose bad decisions lead to disastrous results. Anna and MCU Spider-Man are miles-better characters than Asha, you have to admit. Asha has ABSOLUTELY no excuse to be overly quirky and she has nothing else going for her. Anna at least had some kind of excuse similar to Rapunzel's. She was shot in the head with an ice beam as a kid and then was isolated from the rest of the world with no one her age to talk to. Peter Parker at least has depth to his character and goes through character development throughout his movies. Asha has NOTHING.

Anna wouldn’t be half the character she is without her voice actress Kristen Bell is absolutely amazing in this role she really nails her personality and quirks and say what you will about Elsa but the sisterly chemistry between Kristen and Idina menzel is just perfect

I like both sisters equally, but because of the over the top favoritism and hype for Elsa, I tend to lean more towards Anna just to try to balance it out. Some people just flat out act like Anna isn't even in the movie!!!

IDK what changed your mind about the Frozens, but I'm glad! I like Anna, but part 2 made me kind of annoyed with how poorly her relationship with Kristoff was characterized. The proposal felt unearned because we see his love for her, but not really the depth of her love for him.

@@OpticalSorcerer I mean he's capable of thinking beyond the false dichotomy of either "Frozen is a bad movie with no redeeming qualities whatsoever" or "Frozen is a perfect movie with no redeeming qualities at all." In his previous videos he discussed the flaws, and Anna barely comes up at all. Notice how the only times she comes up is in relation to another character.
In this videos, he talks about the primary virtue of the video--Anna's character arc. Naturally, the focus is on Anna--arguably the best part of the franchise. Anna _can_ be a great character, Han can ruin the movie with how poor his execution is as a twist villain, and Elsa can be meh, fine but overhyped all in the same franchise.
@@aaronimp4966 In previous videos, he called them pathetic, though a recent video is about why he still adores it. And I must disagree about Anna. While she is a great character in part 1, I feel like, despite having a strong character arc/song in part 2 (arguably the best one in part 2, imo), her codependency does what it does best: it fails to embody her as a character independent of Elsa. As such, Anna (and her relationship in Kristoff) isn't really satisfying to me in part 2.

I will re-iterate that he does not indicate at any point in either video that either movie consists only of bad elements.
Nor does he say Anna is poorly written.
Also, he doesn't indicate in this video that he adores either movie on the whole. It is possible for good elements to exist in a bad film.

One last thing; He barely mentions Anna in Frozen 2, and I didn't even bring her conduct in Frozen 2 up. I made reference to his different videos, not to the different films.

She just fell in loved with Hans that she just met, assumed that Hans is evil after the twist, and she just says that Hans won't get away, that she was wrong from the beginning and that Hans has a frozen heart. Sirously, those lines are much worst then Hans turning out to be evil.
Honestly, I still don't like Anna. She's like Tom Holland's Spiderman. An impulsive idiot whose bad decisions lead to disastrous results. And with that cover showing her as an overgrown baby throwing a tantrum doesn't help. Plus, everyone is getting tired of quirky heroines. And Aisha from Wish was the last straw.
Anna and MCU Spider-Man are miles-better characters than Asha, you have to admit. Asha has ABSOLUTELY no excuse to be overly quirky and she has nothing else going for her. Anna at least had some kind of excuse similar to Rapunzel's. She was shot in the head with an ice beam as a kid and then was isolated from the rest of the world with no one her age to talk to. Peter Parker at least has depth to his character and goes through character development throughout his movies. Asha has NOTHING.
