I remember all the times we had to go under the crawl space in our then home in N.L.R. SCARY STUFF. Prayers for recovery in the upcoming weeks. You are Heroes!
I was in that target with like 30 other people - we were all hunkered down in the middle of the store with rugs and blankets over our heads. It sounded like the cliche freight train combined with a buzz saw - craziest sound I’ve ever heard.
Being emotional about things is what it means to be human, and as such, when it comes to terrifying things, like weather, you're going to feel a lot of emotions. I live in Kansas and tornadoes are common, but people still feel everything from fear to excitement (all depending on how one chooses to view such awesome and powerful weather).
To the P0S who text in that they shouldn't be so emotional I hope it's YOUR house that gets hit next. JUST YOUR house. Maybe then you'll learn what sincerity means.

Don't listen to jerks telling you not to be emotional. It is a normal reaction...our KFOR reporter was at one of the schools hit in 2013 in Moore, OK, and he had to report child fatalities. His voice broke into a sob as he reported it...not one person with a human heart could criticize him for that. I don't even recall anyone giving him any lip about it
Why wouldn't you be emotional. Like you said these are family and friends. This is your area. Your homes are there. I hope everyone is okay. I have seen an awful tornado once in my life. The sheer magnitude of what I saw as a young child was devastating. I can't imagine living in it. Everyone that does not live where earthquakes happen are freaked out by them. I will take an earthquake in california over a tornado anywhere anyday anytime. Praying for all involved.

Anyone, and I mean anyone, attacking you for your emotions while covering this either has never experienced a tornado close up or they are just a shell of a person with no compassion for others. I was in line at Sonic when the sirens went off. Candy-ass' wouldn't give me my food until I threatened them with REAL destruction. We were at the other end of Cantrell ffs!! I managed to get home and eat before it rolled thru Cammack Village and onward. Got good footage of it from the roof of my shop but i don't think I'll share it. Beats the hell out of working at USP don't it bartender?!
Catastrophic damage,where? This is F2 damge at most. Catastrophic is F5 damage where there is not even pavement left on the ground. Anything for ratings huh guys
