I got the Powermatic 3+ and it jams & won't stuff a 100 tube properly. Plus, mine was supposed to brand new & it came sealed up in the original box with scratches on the display & the outside. With mine i use Gambler Tobacco which is finely cut & you still have to cut it more & sift the dust out or she jams.
I got mine last night. I am thrilled with it but it came in so late I only rolled 120. I have the same tray you do. I used the little magnetic tray too. I found it real handy to catch all tobacco scraps.
i have the PM3 i can see why you say the hawk is faster but really i think either one is only as fast as you can put the tubes in place of course the longer you do it the faster you'll be on either machine. i can roll a carton in 45 minutes i think i can get to 35-40 min eventually
why is the volume barely audible???...i had to turn up my 120 watt soundbar's [connected to my laptop] volume to near max just to be able to make out your commentary and when the youtube ad began to play sans any warning my speaker not only nearly blew up deafening me for a moment, it had to instantly wake all my neighbors up in my 20 apartment complex building at past 11pm... there's no subtitle option under your video so there's no alternative... wtf dude???... also, if you're trying to demonstrate how this machine works it's a fail because you didn't show the 'working' side of it while operating the hk3... i just purchased the hk3 based on several positive online reviews as an alternative to my powermatic 3+ which began to jam/malfunction continuously after only about 1,500 smokes filled, hopefully it'll be a long term improvement...
I am somewhat interested in replacing my power matic 2 cigarette injector. I think I would like to try one like this, but I have doubts that, due to automation, it may not be able to pack the tobacco to my preferred consistency... I prefer them to be somewhat loose compared to factory, or mass produced cigarettes... What I was looking for that brought me here is advice for storing my tobacco to keep it at a consistent moisture. Sometimes I buy a 1lb bag and it is too fresh or damp. So I'll pull out a handful and let it sit overnight. But living in Florida, there are times when I'll wake up and it's even more moist! 😆 I need consistency.... I'm thinking of a humidor. But I want to see how other people deal with this
Hi, thanks for watching! I've heard of people nuking or even toasting their tobacco to dry it out. I would keep it in its original bag for sure, maybe just leave the bag open overnight. Shake It up in the morning, and give it a couple more hours. And this machine can roll it pretty loose. I got good strong drags off the 1 setting which I later learned was the loosest setting. I would definitely recommend it. They were on sale on Amazon not sure if they still are.
You could also spread it thin on a tray and set it in the window seal on a sunny day. Once you get it to your desired humidity/moisture, throw it back in the bag. It should stay fine. Unless you have an air tight container, which are widely available, the bag it came in is usually best. I keep my rolled up smokes in locking lid, sealed containers.
Just put a dry paper towel in the bag or container...... half of a full size sheet. I use Viva. Seems to do the best without falling apart or leaving dust. If the tobacco gets too dry (non florida residents.lol) put a small amount of water on the paper towel.Barely enough to know it's wet. If you can wring out any water, you used way too much. Tobacco will be good as new. My uncle uses a slice of an apple to rehydrate dried out tobacco. I prefer the paper towel method. Doesn't over hydrate or change the taste.
Turn the video upside down so we can see what your doing 😊
It looks so cool and it sounds awesome. Its pure art!
i upgraded from the 2 to the 3 and love it, i sell cartons in my community and it speeds up the process big time
Could you please post a link to where you purchased the device? It's unfortunately difficult to find something from Germany
@@HonigDarts If you have Amazon in Germany, try there. That's where I got this one and the Powermatic 3+
When you change the settings you must wait for the 2nd cigarette to see the difference because of the machine preloading.

How consistent is it packing the tobacco in the tube?

I have a lot of vids on this and other subjects suggest have a look at Powermatic 3
You can buy reusable silica packets that can be dried out by blasting them 10 secs in microwave and reused after theyve absorbed moisture

Do you usually sift through the tobacco and take out any stems before loading it into the machine?
Yes, as well as finger tear the strands into ½in segments to minimize cycling.
@@daltoncooper53 Okay cool, thank you for such a quick response!
ME GUSTA ESA MAQUINA MAS QUE LA POWERMATIC 3+,,PARECE MAS RAPIDA
Need speakers magnified 100 times to even hear what you saying.
barely can hear it, sorry
Yeah, I had my mic a little too far away I believe. I apologize for that.
