It’s funny you should say that, as there is another Post Grunge band similar to 3 Doors Down called Course Of Nature that has a song called Could I’ve Been, and that song sounds very similar to A Thousand Miles. So a Post Grunge version of A Thousand Miles makes a TON of sense.
If Nine Inch Nails wrote "1979", there is a subtle electronic connections you could riff off of, plus Reznor-style vocals a-la "Hurt" (soft, then strong at the chorus) would fit in a very interesting way. Also, excellent work on this one. Probably one of your best yet!

What is true is that this cover hits so hard I had to listen 5 times in a row and wake up the other members of my household because it would have been a crime against humanity if I didn’t turn the volume up and rock out. I have always loved your shtick and approach to alternative covers and just wanted to let you know, you’ve reached the top of the mountain with this one. Kudos my man, kudos.
