- This video is all about the top. I talk about my tail vise design and then get the dog strip drilled out and the top fully glued up and installed.

Again, good progress video.
In the intro you could have just added a 12" spacer between the vice dog and the work piece so that the work piece was fully supported by the bench. Nice video :)
Nice bench. Looking forward to future content from u.
Thank you! There’s at least two more coming for this build. Maybe three not sure yet.
New subscriber here...l just tripped over your channel and binged this build from part 1. Can't wait to see the wrap up. Great presentation and tutorial.
Thanks for dropping in Jeff. I’m glad to hear you are getting something out of theses. There’s actually at least 2 more coming.
Beautiful bench. Great series. I watched all three. Oops, there's 4 of them. Yippee!
6 if you count the moxon vise 😆
@@EastOakWoodworking Yes, I realized that as the series went on.
Nice work. Interesting top.
awesome idea for an end vice.
also what a beautiful bench Sir
Thank you Ronald!
It's just awesome! 👍🏾
Thank you!
Looking very nice, but where's all that movement coming from when your levelling them wedges
I don’t really remember why the bench was moving around, but I think I may have had it up on the casters when I cut them flush
What did you do in the Army? I was actually a Carpentry and Masonry Specialist
I was a 63E - M1 Abrams mechanic
@@EastOakWoodworking Nice - I was stationed F Steward GA from mid 99 to 2001
I was in from 94-01. Ft. Knox and Büdingen Germany
Hey - I'm at the same point in my build, and like yours, planning on using wedges to secure the legs. I hadn't planned on bolting down the top as well. I'm curious why you did that? I like the idea of no metal in my bench construction (other than vise hardware), so I'd love to hear your response. Thanks!!
The bolts are low enough in the top that they will never be an issue. I already have magnets embedded, so I’m not as worried about metal. The bolts allow for a secure, tight mount, while still allowing for movement which because of the wedges tenons on the outside will be directed inward where the bolts do the securing.
