Just 15 minutes, and one of the biggest Photoshop fundamentals is crystal clear and served with little tricks that make your life easier. Your tutorials are awesome!
Saw the title and thought "really?", then I watched it and actually learned a little. Tut was taught very thoroughly, your thoughts were very well organized, and your speech was concisely relayed. Great job
FINALLY!! a tutorial that doesn't curve away from the point/focus. I am so glad you do not ramble off topic into redundant, useless stuff. Thank you. :)
this was AWESOME! I literally had to keep going back and forth between the video and photoshop so I could try the techniques as you were teaching them. 10/10 recommend!!
Excellent vid ... thank you. As a professional photographer for quite a few years, who LOVES Curves as a tool, I'm impressed at how well you've explained it & get people to the fundamental core. Gotta say, you'd have to be the easiest person to listen to in a RUclips tutorial. Well done
OK, folks can get all fussy if they want about moving the properties box around. But for me this is one excellent tutorial. Most seem to just walk you (or run more usually) through a series of steps to take a photo where the author wants. But in this case, we actually get an explanation of what the controls do, and why they are used.
I"m embarrassed to say how long I've been using curves, but never really knew what I was doing! Thanks for the awesome explanation.Time saving+ more tools=an awesome day!
Thank you so much! For years I've been using the Levels adjustment instead of curves because I didn't understand how to use Curves properly, this is gonna help me so much!
Thank you so much..... so much of useful talk and almost nothing useless talk... specifically to the point and reletively at right pace.... great tutorial
Excellent vid on curves...would only add that by masking either the sky or the city, you can adjust the tones/lightness separately to control the overall image better.
This helped a lot! I always use custom made curves, mixing them up, adding things, playing around but I never came to doing it from scratch. So thank you!
hey man, ur instructions were really clear. explained some of the details i've missed before. however, it would've been awesome to see an image which has been edited properly, instead of just an example of how to use the tools. thanks for the vid tho!! love from malaysia! :)
The easiest, nondestructive way to add a new curves layer is located at the bottom of the layers panel. I think it's symbol is the half white half black circle. It adds a curve layer immediately, without asking what to name it (like when u access it through the menu). That's what i find most convenient!
Great video, thank you. Do you have any tips on how to replicate curves adjustments in Elements 11? I use a Mac, so no curves plug-ins are available and the curves feature included in the software is very limited. I have heard you can use gradient map adjustment layers as an alternative? Thanks
Interesting tutorial, before, I couldn't make sense of the curves tool. If I may be a little critical: you keep moving that curves window around while you have an empty space on the bottom right that's just the right size! Also it's very enervating for the viewer when you make unnecessary mouse movements. But overall thumbs up.
I dont know if it is Coegit Compressed Thin, Coegit Compressed Light, Rama Gothic Medium Light, Heroic Condensed Book or Blue Goblet Drawn Compressed Light, but they look very similare
I noticed the overly excessive mouse movement long before he even got to the window bit. At least his voice is pleasant to listen to and doesn't talk about his whole life story before getting started like so many other tuts on YT.

Is the pikes in the 2nd curve adjustment equal lost of data?
hey man, ur instructions were really clear. explained some of the details i've missed before. however, it would've been awesome to see an image which has been edited properly, instead of just an example of how to use the tools. thanks for the vid tho!! love from malaysia! :)
Great job, very informative with tons of tips. Exactly what I want from a tutorial
Fantastic tutorial sir - this helped me teach my Photoshop group about curves in a way that they understood, a big thank you :)

Please keep educating us :)
The way You use for making it easily understandable by using step by step is good thank You.
quick question: why we cant add more than 16 control points in curves histogram??
That might be something only a developer at Adobe could answer
XD
Can we use a layer mask to block the curves adjustment in the sky?
Best tutorial never got to know so much about the curves
Great job! Really easy to understand. Thanks for this!
Is the RGB on the curves are just the same thing as Color Balance due to the color adjustment?
Just the perfect tutorial that I've been looking for! :D
Great video, thank you. Do you have any tips on how to replicate curves adjustments in Elements 11? I use a Mac, so no curves plug-ins are available and the curves feature included in the software is very limited. I have heard you can use gradient map adjustment layers as an alternative? Thanks

Haha. Dually noted!
I noticed the overly excessive mouse movement long before he even got to the window bit. At least his voice is pleasant to listen to and doesn't talk about his whole life story before getting started like so many other tuts on YT.
