So cool....Fish tank and science!! Playing with vacuums is fun. This could also be a weird way to test your tank seals without leaking water out. If you had leaky seals the water wouldn't stay up in that tank.
The cinderblocks are blocking alot of the entrance ..the tank only needs support on the very corners ..you can increase the entrance size by 40% ..move the blocks out to the last 1 inch

It’s actually very controlled… my pond is covered by a pop up tent so it’s in the shade 90% of the day, and what ever little algae forms the koi snack on it to help keep the algae under control that’s all pretty simple 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
