A rule that my local derbies has implemented is pretty interesting: 100 cars or so are split into different groups. One group derbies like normal until two cars remain and they are both considered round winners. The field is cleared and the next group battles until two cars remain, etc. At the end, all the initial round winners enter the final round and derby until one remains. Very interesting if you ask me. Also just before the finals is the losers bracket where anyone who was knocked out gets to derby again if they can get their vehicle running again.
Jman'03RC The ONLY time someone does that is if the car is prone to bending down after contact. Cutting out pieces of the frame is a bad idea. You'll be out after a couple hits. It's called creasing the rear quarters and folding the trunk. Gives more strength at the back.
You did a series called star in a silly car if fail race did a rental shop you would go broke because the cars used would be a v8 clio and oddly tuned wrangler all cars would be mandatory offensive blue
RetroAdzz It's very uncommon to be taken out due to damage to the cabin of the car. Protecting the driver is not a concern here and it doesn't do much to stiffen the front and back, where most of the damage will be taken. Having a roll cage does inflict more damage to anything that hits the side of it though, so that's an advantage.
Deleted your mods ? Beam without mods is like Ferrari without wheels. But Beam have a bad habit to crash if you spawn too many cars, I tried a group photo some of my best mod cars but like after 10th vehicle the game crashed. =/
more beamNG demo derbys???
It may not be as impressive as Wreckfest but it still entertaining (especially hearing a computer cry in the background)
But wreckfest isn't realistic?
IMO Beamng Is WAY Better

Everyone loves a good mudpit derby.
Socialus you can’t go wrong
I'm real life they cut v shaped slits out of the rear of the frame, so that it bends up. I've always thought that was a cool fact

We need like at least 10 more of these videos. Your the only one doing this with commentary and that's what makes it!
Derby in BeamNG is quite fun, hopefully you will make some more

To turn off traction control:
- Crlt Q

Use your front more make the derby more entertaining
If I had 17 cars my PC would run at 15 seconds per frame

Wow the sunburst in the second demo derby you can see that the sunburst had a rollcage unfair lol great video
It doesn't do much to protect the drivetrain, so it's not that much of an advantage.
are you for real??
dato dumbadze
Me? Yes.
It does absolutely nothing to protect the engine bay, nor wheels.
EvilMcSheep the whole chassis in general would be stiffer
