Whenever I walk my giant purebred GSD the first question I get asked 99% of the time: “Is he papered for breeding?” 1) no, he’s not. 2) he’s actually a spayed female.
Right? That will also help with people becoming accustomed to bigger cages that are actually suitable for hamsters. I feel like the colours and crazy tubes make people feel like tiny cages are acceptable.
@@arevv9441 if they stopped selling small cages, there wouldn't be any problem since they would only sell large cages. If the owner can't get a large cage they wouldn't be able to buy a hamster in the first place
@@arevv9441 in the UK you can get a cage called the Alaska for 31 pounds and it's 83cm x 50 I think and it's huge for a cheap price or bin cages are cheap and big size
My favorite on Facebook marketplace was "searching for a free puppy, kids really want a puppy but cant afford one." Excuse me? What about the vet? Food? Toys? 🤔
Rabbits should NEVER be kept in a cage. At minimum, they should be kept in a large X-pen and let out several times a day. They hardly even need pellets, let alone a whole bowl of them. They should have fresh dark, leafy greens and LOTS of hay. Love you Munchie and keep up doing what you're doing! ♥️🐰
Anyone else want to take in so many of those animals but doesn’t know too much or has too many animals already? They will find the live that they deserve 💖💖💖
The bun diet you mentioned is perfect for them! Buns shouldn't be kept in cages at all in my opinion, but an indoor pen/room that is bunny proofed is a very good way to keep them in one place and so they dont chew/poop on or in your stuff. My two bunnies have a shared area currently of about 10 sq feet but am going to expand withing the month as we are moving. Each bun should have about 4 sq feet minimum and lots of toys and/or a friend as they're social animals. That first bunny looked just extremely sad as the space was only about twice as big as the litterbox should be and looked to be overweight from a pellet only diet. I couldn't see its coat and I dont know its breed and what they should look like but other than the weight he looked okay. Just so so sad :(
The first rabbit you showed does in fact look like he/she could be having an onset of GI Stasis. The rabbit is sitting in a hunched position and has its neck craned out which is a sign of pain/discomfort. I am a bun mom of 4 free roaming rabbits and it's so incredibly sad seeing how they are sometimes neglected the way they are. Rabbits are a TON of work to care for, and people don't seem to do much research before getting one. It is so worth the work and money to have bunnies though in my opinion.
The rabbit one is sad. Rabbits should never ever live in a cage idk why they even sell cages for rabbits they should either live in a large pen (indoor or outdoor as long as you make sure it’s safe) or they should be free roam or have a room to themselves. Cages are not necessary
Poor diet, needs veggies, friut, small pellets unless it's a baby, hays is needed. Bedding needed, enrivement with toys, water as well. The rabbits are high intelligence and needs more space than just a cage.
@@thedoodlingwonderwolfm354 agreed, a pen if you can't free roam. They need to binki, they get build up of energy. They need to stretch. Cage is not suitable for a good quality of life
@@anastialagarez3148 yeah totally agree my Bunnies have a big pen and soon I'm going to build a massive pen unfortunately I can't free roam because I have 4 unbonded rabbits
The one with puppies breaks my heart. Puppies chew everything so it not safe for them to be in a box, especially with each other. If you are a breeder/preparing to be one, you need a huge backyard, with their mother and lots of water and chew toys.
Being a first time owner of a hamster isn’t an excuse for any bad hamster care. I currently own my FIRST hamster which is a winter white hamster that I adopted from petsmart a week ago. He lives in a 55 gallon aquarium he is doing amazing yes I will be upgrading very soon. Hamster care channels including this one, educated me about hamies and I feel so great knowing I saved this baby boys life, because I initially was going to buy a hamster instead of adopting.Sadly I did do my research on the internet to see those who do search and found so many misleading information and it sucks that pet stores or just pet companies are making lots of products that are so horrible for pets including hamsters... but I’m so thankful that there’s people like you and this community. I named my hamster munchie cuddles❤️ adopting him was the best decision.. thank you 🙏 #adoptdontshop
I saw a very sad guinea pig ad a few weeks ago. There was two guinea pigs in a tiny barred cage, that was under 450 square inches... A guinea pig cage that was smaller than the minimum for hamsters. And the cage was outside, and visibly dirty. This was in Norway, which is a country that’s way to cold to house guinea pigs outside in. They lived on a shallow layer of soil, and there was no hay. Not even grass, or pellets. There were no toys, hides, chews or any kinds of enrichment. The only other things in the cage was a pile of acorns/oaknuts. I don’t know if they are toxic for guinea pigs, but they are deadly to horses, so I doubt they’re good. I really hope they got to a good home.
15:17 I STRONGLY agree with this. I have a personal story on this subject, actually. While I was staying at my mother's boyfriend's house, his friends dog was still there after the friend and ex wife (ex wife to mother's boyfriend; wife to boyfriend's friend) left. When I met Beatrice (the dog), she was in extreme poor care. She was tied up to the tree on a small rope, her nails were ridiculously long, and my hand would be caked in dirt after one small stroke. She is 4 years old and a mother of 4 litters. I think the original owners were running a puppy mill. We were infuriated when we found out about this, since you can go get your dog spayed/neutered very cheap, depending on where you go. My mother told me to consider taking her in, and my dad agreed. She is now doing amazing in our care. I saw how much she thrived when we got her spayed. I'm so glad we took her in, because it also turned out she had Heartworms. Thankfully, she was in a very early stage of it. Sometime in the next 3 months, she should be Heartworm free :).
One thing I hear people say to justify their care is they say: "Hey I'm caring for them better then the/a petshop did/would" THATS NTO A EXCUSE TO ABUSE ANIMALS! AGH!
For the rabbit care advice, I definitely think you’re accurate. One thing I would’ve included, is that both of these cages are way too small. Generally, people recommend the length of their body times two for the length and width of the cage, and for the height to be high enough for them to fully stretch and stand without hitting the ceiling. However, I always recommend a large, four by four, ex-pen at the very least. In whatever cage you have for your rabbit, they need at the very least, four hours of playtime outside the cage. I personally think that all rabbits should get a room to themselves, or free roam. Free roaming is by far the best and most beneficial housing situation for a rabbit. It helps your relationship with your rabbit, as well as the rabbit having much more space than many others. Fixing is also VERY IMPORTANT. It is absolutely necessary for bonding, health, and its relationship with every thing it meets. The adoption fee is the money you paid to fix the rabbit. It is incredibly dangerous to sell, or rehome, rabbits anywhere but an actual rescue. It’s just so dangerous. Even actual rescues get those people who just want a decoration, or a play toy for children, or just a throw away pet. Anyone who’s done research on rabbit adoption and rescue knows to adoption from a (only) rabbit rescue. If you want to know more about rabbit care, I suggest looking up 101Rabbits and Lennon The Bunny, they have GREAT information, and some helpful tips. I do think you have enough knowledge to recognize bad care though, but I think more research could help with more tips for the people in the ads and people outside of them.
When you were talking about spaying and neutering your pet- when my cat got neutered he got infected and stuff and almost died. I'm not against spaying and neutering animals, with future pets I will definitely spay and neuter them, but very very rarely there will be complications
I really like your attitude. I've read about a lot of rescues that are quick to flat reject people, and aren't willing to work with them. While some people will lose interest the second you start suggesting better care, there might be plenty of people who are willing to give the correct care if they are just given the proper information.
If we’re advocating spay and neuter we also need to talk about the age that it should be done. New studies have shown that the typical spay female animals go under could lead to more damage which is why some vets have offered a new way of spaying females. Also, newer studies show that spaying or neutering before the age of 2 years old can affect joint health and cause serious health problems. Spaying and neutering is not necessary and doesn’t make someone a bad owner.
Happy Bunnies if you read the articles that were listed you’d know 😊 I didn’t say it applied to all animals which is why the links were provided for those who to cared to be educated on the actual procedures, I was only commenting on a specific comment she made @ 15:17. I’ve talked to many vets and done my own research so I have to disagree with your statement. I hope you open your mind to new information and studies that are being released.
For the whole length of the video I was cuddling with my rat boy Erik. He will snuggle up on my lap or hand every night during free roaming and just enjoy being pet for a looong time. I got him and his brother Nines from the German version of craigslist, they are from an accidental litter, their mom was a pregnant pet store rat. Nobody wanted him because he is a standard agouti boy, but he is the cuddliest of all of my rats. Adopting animals is so worth it, even if they come from bad homes or might have genetic issues because their parents are pet store animals or feeders, they have so much love to give. Sorry for the long post, guess I was just overwhelmed by how much I love my furry little grandpas.
For the one that might have been a backyard breeder: hamster litters can stay together with the opposite gender until they are 4 weeks. Then you need to separate based on sex. So it’s possible they could have been really young but I don’t think so cuz they probably would have been in the same cage so idk what is going on there
That rabbit was being very neglected. I had a rabbit not long ago sadly she past. Her name was thumper. She was given to me because my dad had a friend who’s neighbors had it for TWO MONTHS and didn’t want it anymore. I got her without being prepared. I quickly did a lot of research and moved her from the tiny cage she came in to a huge dog cage and provided her with a simple dollar tree bin as a litter box. When we moved we got her a new cage that was bigger than the last that had a real pan to it. (By the way her old cage was big to but I but soft fleas blankets down in the other) she was a very happy rabbit and lived a long life.
Hi Munchie (and/or everyone else). I know this isn’t related to this video but it’s just something that’s been making me worry about it a lot lately. So school just started for me and my science this year is living environment. Basically biology with a bit of environmental science sprinkled in. These first few days we’ve been going over the safety procedures and I realized that we’re going to be handling live animals in some of our experiments. I already felt like this was something that I didn’t wanna do but they also played a video about these safety procedures. At one point they showed 3 mice or rats in a little carrier cage type of cage and they were all looking at the lid as if they wanted to get out of the cage. I don’t want to do the experiments with living animals but by my state law I have to or else I won’t be able to pass the class. I just think it’s wrong that we’re doing this to animals. 🐭💙💖
Hackie Puffs I’m really sorry you have to do that. I’m vegan so doing any science lab assignments with animals makes me really uncomfortable too. I would talk to the teacher and see if they’ll let you do an alternative assignment instead. You could say it’s for religious reasons and they would likely just make you do something else for the points. I would also consider making a petition or writing a letter to the district or whoever is forcing teachers to do experiments with live animals so they can end this requirement
This week I bought that same rabbit cage from someone online. It’s about 1000 square inches. I got it and meshed it (it took literally 6 hours to mesh and zip tie) the next day I rescued a pair of Russian dwarfs. They took up my last area of space in my rodent rooms. I’m sad that I’ve officially run out of room for rescues. I always keep them though so it’s completely my fault that I currently have 26 rodents😂 they’re sisters and seem to be getting along so far. I do have a spare cage and I could make a divider somehow if needed. I was absolutely horrified the way the women and her two daughters were banging on the crittertrail so the hamsters would jump out into my travel cage. Me and my boyfriend just looked at each other in shock. Both of the girls seem to be doing good, they’re very overweight so I’m gonna try and get them on a bit of a diet. One of them looks twice as big as my other Russians. Hoping to weigh everyone soon and make sure all of them are at a good weight. The one good thing is the women didn’t make me pay for them at all. I’ve done 2 other dwarf pairing rescues and had to give both of those people $30 (hamsters are about $15 each at pet stores where I am) so they got full money back but I didn’t wanna risk the hamsters lives.
I own Rabbits and the black and white rabbit does look a little sickly, the fur on its forehead is a little ruffled but that could just be because it was cleaning itself but it is very hard to tell if a rabbit is sick because they try to hide their symptoms because they are prey animals and don’t like showing weakness, you’d have to look for signs that you usually don’t see or are very hard to see in pictures.
My hamster was a rescue and he was in a tiny critter trail with the wheel that came with it and the poor syrian guy was running ONTOP of the wheel with 2 or 3 feet while hanging on the to bars
Hell I don’t even recommend cages for rabbits even if they have everything and more, the only time cages are okay for rabbits is if they’re for sleeping purposes only and there is a large pen around the cage they can use during the day, or simply used as a little box and feeding area with the door taken off.
I found the most frustrating ad a couple of days ago. Person was selling her two dwarf hamsters, one male and one female. The female was sold with a small pink cage, accessories, food, colored bedding, wheel, toys, etc. The cage was under the minimum sadly, but not the absolute worst ones out there. The male however, was sold in a tiny plastic box. The only things he had were a tiny layer of natural bedding, and a chew block. He didn’t even have food. I’m actually kinda speechless.
rabbit quartet lettuce like green leaf, red leaf, and romaine are best for rabbits! Herbs like cilantro and dark greens like kale shouldn’t be fed as much! :)
@@missnicolearie9266 that's totally totally false. Actually lettuce has no nutrients it's literally just water. They need collared greens kale and herbs are a massive part of a rabbit died and forage
Hi, I work at a pet store as one of the caretakers for a majority of the animals (basically everything except fully-aquatic animals like fish and axolotls, though reptiles are my specialty). I am trying to provide good care for the animals in the store, but I know it's harder since they are unfortunately in small cages. As far as hamsters go, they do have proper wheel sizes (and they're NOT wired), their cages are cleaned weekly cuz of the small cage sizes, I make sure they have as deep of bedding that I can provide, they have a couple of chew toys, and I do my best to make sure they're OK with being handled. I'm trying to research as much as I can to make sure I'm providing the best care possible, though I know it's not perfect given my limitations with the cage size-restriction. Hamsters aren't necessarily MY thing when it comes to pets, honestly. Like I said, my specialty are reptiles. I'm passionate about them. I've owned snakes and lizards since I was 12, rescuing several of them since I was a kid. THAT BEING SAID, I personally know what it's like to walk into a pet store and see the reptiles in poor living conditions and getting mad at the owners over how neglected they were. And if I feel that way with the reptiles, I know others people who are passionate about other types of pets would be just as mad if their favorite animals were kept in horrible conditions. I NEVER want that with the animals under my care, which is why I've started watching several videos on animals that aren't really the type of pet I can see myself owning...yet treating the research like I AM just as passionate for these animals as I would a ball python or bearded dragon. I'm trying to educate myself as best as I can on the care for all the animals under my watch when I'm at work so I can do the best job I am able to do there. I'm trying to get invested in the various pet communities on RUclips and wherever else to see what people are saying about the care for these animals so I can not only do it myself at work but also inform customers on what best they can do to provide proper housing/care for their new pets. I have always done this with reptiles, but now that I'm educating myself I'm doing it with all the animals. And I just want to say thanks for the great videos; they're entertaining and very easy to understand what makes a good home for a hamster and what doesn't (the Bad Cage unboxing/reviews are my favorite, honestly lol). It makes me more confident when explaining to people what small animals like hamsters need to live happy and healthy with their potentially new family. :)
I’m a mom to 4 bunnies, a hamsters, and a dog some of these past are so Sadi I had a 4 year old special-needs Syrian hamsters but sadly past a way this year after 3 years now I’m a proud mom of A Robo hamster, 3 mini Rex bunnies, Flemish giant bunny, and a Super Mutt
I hate that people get rid of their pets for excuses such as oh I got a new animal or oh I got a new dog or oh I got a new cat and in quotation marks can’t take care of them it’s so sad i have 5 pets A hamster a dog two cats well the fish is my stepdad’s and a fish and they are my life I would never get rid of my pets for such a stupid reason my pets I might like and I love them my hamster is in a wooden aspen cage and she loves it with lots of chews lots of food and different snacks
Canada needs to get with the times in hamster care it says they should have at least 100 sq inches. I thought we would be a lot smarter than this since were considered a “caring country” this pisses me off. I’ll definitely try to do something about this when I’m a vet
I completely agree about the rabbit. I'm not positive what's wrong with it but definitely has some sort of deficiency for sure. Probably due to diet but I can't honestly say, but yes Munchie your animal instincts are right. 😉 Love this version for the CL Ads!!! Keep up the great and amazing work Munchie!!! Thank you for sharing as always.
Can you do a video about property husbandry for gerbils? I have owned hamsters and have a good understanding of their care but I think gerbils are adorable and I am growing more interested in them.
My hammie just got upgraded to the ikea detolf cage (he already had a fairly big cage (about 2/3rds of this) but why not make it even bigger for him!!) and he doesn’t know what to do with himself lol!
A while back there was a listing for three guinea pigs where their cage was a kiddy pool with bedding, a food bowl, a hide, and a little fence around it
If there was hay in there would they not accidentally eat the paper? I don't have rabbits but I have Guinea pigs and I can't use shredded paper with them for that reason. Just wondering :)
I made my own rabbits cage, theres space to burrow and stay in when it's hot, and it's very spacious. They get a nice view of the garden, it's shaded, etc.
And just so you know, guinea pigs don't need any extra vitamin C supplements or added to their hay! They should be getting enough from their pellet food and veggies that they dont need extra. Of course extra won't hurt, but its just more expense for something they dont really need
I was saying this in terms of why rabbit diets are different from Guinea pigs since improper care has been shown in petstores where guinea pigs were only sharing food with rabbits which then in terms caused health issues without their Vit C. I do know of this information you speak of as i use to work and raise piggies at my old job. TY for clarifying for people reading comments.

Only cashew??!! Omg. They didn't even bother to go buy some hamster food in the store... it would've probably been cheaper, because cashew's usually pricy. And wire floor for those poor feet in the second add. I hate it so much, because here in Spain it's very popular, and I'm dying inside. People says they like it because the cage gets "easier" to clean. But I disagree. I have a wire cage (not floors) for my rats, and it takes forever cleaning. Tanks like I have for my hamsters are so so sooooo much easier. And I hate to see too small wheels, especially in countries where you can easily get bigger wheels in stores. Where I live, in a smaller town in Spain, the biggest wheel I can get in store is 6 inches. You have to go online to get a bigger, and many people don't have that energy, unfortunately. Thank you once again, Munchie, for another great but so sad video
And I'm also crying for that poor rabbit. I had 3 rabbits some years ago, and they were so active. I had a room just for them, and sometimes I let them out to the living room because I felt sorry for them being stucked in that room. It's so heartbreaking
Hi , you have inspired me to become a future animal rescuer and open up my own rescue centre. I’m currently designing my own cages that are the correct sizes not just for hammys and gerbils. But also chinchillas and other exotic animals. You are such a major inspiration for me, I love you and your work so so much 😍❤️❤️
My grandparents have bunnies and i am helping the one become less scared. I go over once or twice a week. The bunny has come a long way and is now laying on my lap comfortably.
So rabbit. Way too small a cage, unless it has a 'play pen' and an open door which I doubt they have. I have not and will never use paper bedding because they do tend to chew on it when they are stressed. Hay is required, preferably Timothy or Alfalfa. Hay pellets can be offered as well, but they need just straight hay for several reasons (Diet, digestion, Teeth, ect). Is is also recommended feeding fresh veggies daily, which can be supplemented with pellets to make sure they get all their nutrients. Several different types of chews to help enrich and keep teeth trimmed. Daily handling and playing when it is a solitary rabbit as they are rather social. You can get a custom made rabbit wheel (Most brands don't make them big enough) but they normally don't like them so you need a pen or run for them to get their exercise. Litter trays both in the cage and in the pen or run cleaned daily. And regular nail trimming as like their teeth, their nails never stop growing and in captivity they don't get the chance to dig like in the wild which would naturally trim their nails. And that rabbit is rather far from healthy. Sitting like that and still able to make out the body from the legs means it is either underweight, or the coat is much thinner than it should be or both. Which ties into poor diet. Looking around the edge of the eye, you can see where it is a crusty pink, which is a sign of an infection normally caused by a poorly maintained cage or improper bedding causing irritation. As for the size, it looks like a mutt so there is no telling if it's normal or not without seeing the parents. My guess is it's a few months old and undersized from poor diet.
As a rabbit owner I’m soooo sad to see the bunny so sad and obviously board because rabbits being animals of high intellect needs a lot of toys and them being social need a lot of love and would appreciate a friend even though they don’t NEED a friend it would help it’s so sad
So your saying that just because my dog isn't fixed(even though shes never been bred) I'm "ignorant" and "selfish"..... I believe your the ignorant one.
sarasthoughts My current dog is spayed, because I believed it was the responsible thing to do, and she has had SO many health issues since then. She was three years old when she was spayed and had never had any major issues before. Within a month of spaying she was already showing negative signs. I don’t have a problem if you spay/neuter your pets, but I personally will never spay or neuter another one of my dogs unless they absolutely require it for health reasons. As long as the owners are responsible and make sure there is no breeding happening, I don’t see any issues with keeping your pets intact. I don’t know why there’s so much hate towards those who keep their pets intact, but are responsible about it.
@@adriannam520 EVERY dog is healthier because of spaying and neutering. It saves them from hysterical pregnancies, cancer, hormonal disbalances, many many more illnesses, and is a step forward to avoid having more strays. Just because you had some problems once it doesn't mean it's a bad procedure, cause it's not. Keeping your pects untact IS A PROBLEM.
@@farmlife-od1hg yes it is. ANY respectable veterinarian will say so. There are dozens of health issues you are exposing your pet to, including multiple types of cancer.
sarasthoughts sarasthoughts A lot of those are actually commonly believed myths. Spaying or neutering obviously takes away the chance of cancer in the parts of the dog’s body that are no longer there, but it often increases the chances of other forms of cancer, such as bladder or bone cancer. Not only that, it also increases the chances of hip dysphasia, diabetes, and obesity, just to name a few things. I advise you to do a little more research on the benefits of keeping your dog intact before bashing others for choosing not to spay or neuter.
For the rabbit the cage is way to small the smallest cage they should be in is 16 square feet (the size of a standard dog exercise pen). So true about the hay though rabbits need hay to properly digest food and can get serious complications without hay! That cage makes me so sad way way way too small.
People who make unsuitable cages and sell them this is for you, why the frick do you make unsuitable cages how do you like if someone just stuck to you in a shoebox 😡

rabbits can be kept in a cage... but only if the cage is a minimum of 12 sq feet (In the USA)- maybe 10 if dwarf... but they do need plenty of attention too and time out of the cage. I had a 12 yr old house bun that was free roam.. We grew up together. I just lost him 2 years ago and now rescue small animals. They also need a diet of mostly hay, with a 1/4 cup of pellets a day (depending on size of bunny), fresh vegetables- leafy greens are best with a smaller variety of vegetables on top, and fruit as a treat/in moderation... They also LOVE toys, cat toys, baby rattles, willow balls/rings... and they need at least one large hide.... Also NO wire bottom cage. This rabbit care makes me sad
I have a bunny her name is somber and I am furious about the bunny’s in the cages they should not be in cages at all unless it has at least 5 by 5 feet of room and the first bunny looked a few months old I want to cry because of the bunny posts because of how bad they are ;-;
Hi! Your one of my favorite RUclipsrs because you educate people on proper hamster care which makes a huge difference in the way hamsters are treated. Keep up the great work!❤
Unfortunately, Petathome (the UK version of Petco) is stocking those really small toy looking cages too from Ferplast to appeal to kids. I wish they would stop making small cages look like toys or desktop accessories. If you want to keep something in a small cage that is shaped like a circus tent then keep a pet rock.
for rabbits wire cages are a need for different breeds. the wool breeds are better on them as they get so nasty from litter boxes. i would always use something flat for their feet.. i have lion heads but use only flat floors.. and they have huge cages and come out to hop around. seeing the ads you show for the buns on this vid are sad. it so easy to make toys for a rabbit, i make and buy tons of toys.. its so much fun for me and the rabbits
i saw a photo on a hamster group im in on facebook and their hamsters habitat was outside in a small enclosure and there was no wheel and it looked really dirty
I hope in the future of pet care we'll see better cages for small rodents and updated care for the new years to come

Just so so sad :(
I think the nuts are cashews but that still doesnt make it any better.

Hi, I'm a huge fan of yours and you have really inspired me to rescue small animal's! (BTW, your introduction made me smile 😂)
No one:
Not a soul:
*meow* BOBOBOBOBOBO 😂😂😂😂
The rabbit one is sad. Rabbits should never ever live in a cage idk why they even sell cages for rabbits they should either live in a large pen (indoor or outdoor as long as you make sure it’s safe) or they should be free roam or have a room to themselves. Cages are not necessary
Poor diet, needs veggies, friut, small pellets unless it's a baby, hays is needed.
Bedding needed, enrivement with toys, water as well.
The rabbits are high intelligence and needs more space than just a cage.
Anastia Lagarez or at least a pen wayyyyy bigger then that one was !!!!
@@thedoodlingwonderwolfm354 agreed, a pen if you can't free roam. They need to binki, they get build up of energy. They need to stretch. Cage is not suitable for a good quality of life
Anastia Lagarez I definitely agree with you
@@anastialagarez3148 yeah totally agree my Bunnies have a big pen and soon I'm going to build a massive pen unfortunately I can't free roam because I have 4 unbonded rabbits
don't baby rabbits need alfalfa hay?
This makes me so sad...I would take them all home if I had the room. x
Her vids are so underrated
Yeah :-(
Sometimes that's a good thing for me. Less stress.
I named my hamster munchie cuddles❤️ adopting him was the best decision.. thank you 🙏 #adoptdontshop
omg that rabbit 😪😪
That's so sad
3:32 Wow, that cage is huge! I would love to be a hamster living in there.
15:17
I STRONGLY agree with this.
I am from Germany and we hold our hamsters REALLY good, like really... my hamster has a 120x50x50 big cage.
Is that cm or inches?
Eviolus - cm
One thing I hear people say to justify their care is they say: "Hey I'm caring for them better then the/a petshop did/would" THATS NTO A EXCUSE TO ABUSE ANIMALS! AGH!
Dude at 7:50 those poor hamster look so sick
This should be pinched
My dog pulled out her sitches, and staples so my spay with her was noTTT easy or quick hahaha
When you were talking about spaying and neutering your pet- when my cat got neutered he got infected and stuff and almost died. I'm not against spaying and neutering animals, with future pets I will definitely spay and neuter them, but very very rarely there will be complications
I feel so bad for those puppies
Spaying and neutering is not necessary and doesn’t make someone a bad owner.
www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/your-dog-needs-to-be-spayed-or-neutered-right/
(Here’s just one source) many vets have backed up these new studies.
U should listed the animal u are on about because I know this is total bs for alot of animals
The link wasn't there when I commented and I'm talking about other animals not dogs because
For the whole length of the video I was cuddling with my rat boy Erik.
So it’s possible they could have been really young but I don’t think so cuz they probably would have been in the same cage so idk what is going on there
The one with the free puppies may not even be a legit ad because that pic with the Rottweiler (?) puppies is all over the internet.
Yep I forgot to edit a note about that. I've caught hamster listings with fake photos too. Hopefully next time I can discuss that too.
I think you're doing a good job. Please keep it up!
I was going to comment the same thing. Craigs list is bad for fake adds
Poor baby rabbit, no hay, no hide, no space, the poor thing cant even dig and bunnys love to dig. Hes even alone, so sad.☹
I love the vids
Once I saw a ad with a guinea pig in a critter trail 😭
Must have been a small pig to have even fit inside
Omg these kinds of ads are why I don’t even look at Craigslist
This is probably why I'm aging faster. 😂
Just today I found an add on Craigslist in my area that was selling a small pink hamster cage and ball.... "Hamster included" in the description
:(
The frick?! That's the opposite of what they should say!! 🤬🤬
Kaylie Jakobsen favoritism... 😑🐹
Awww I would bond that bunny with mine in a heart beat😭 his cage was WAY to small and he needs lettuce
He doesn't need lettuce he needs herbs and dark leafy greens
rabbit quartet lettuce like green leaf, red leaf, and romaine are best for rabbits! Herbs like cilantro and dark greens like kale shouldn’t be fed as much! :)
@@missnicolearie9266 that's totally totally false. Actually lettuce has no nutrients it's literally just water. They need collared greens kale and herbs are a massive part of a rabbit died and forage
rabbit quartet oh here we have another know it all. rabbits can eat lettuce too.
I love your shirt and these videos!Great video! 🐹
Can you do a video about property husbandry for gerbils? I have owned hamsters and have a good understanding of their care but I think gerbils are adorable and I am growing more interested in them.
if we ever get any in our rescue, possibly. Otherwise i'd recommend checking out pickles pets.
My hammie just got upgraded to the ikea detolf cage (he already had a fairly big cage (about 2/3rds of this) but why not make it even bigger for him!!) and he doesn’t know what to do with himself lol!

Emily Brobst they offer bunny care advice?
Bob Sheepbob yes she gives advice on free roaming rabbits
Emily Brobst ooooh awesome thank you :000
Yeah I've been free roaming my 2 rabbits for 10 years
The rabbit with paper bedding without hay... doesn’t look like there’s any poop droppings! My bun poops hundreds of droppings a day.
Ashley Ramirez Same that’s one of the first things I noticed! I have to change out my 2 bunnies litter tray everyday to keep them clean!
If there was hay in there would they not accidentally eat the paper? I don't have rabbits but I have Guinea pigs and I can't use shredded paper with them for that reason. Just wondering :)
That white and black Bun Bun looks exactly like my bun, sounds like my Bun, and I rescued my bun off the streets, but she is much sweeter now
I love that you know about Bo-Bo-Bo 😂
@@MunchiesPlace Oh thank you for clarifying! :)
I think the rabbit looks fine. But definitely not enough enrichment.
it's in a tiny tiny cage only one rabbit they should be In pairs it didn't have hay or a litter box and it didn't have a water bowl. And tbh it doesn't look healthy it looks very malnutritioned
@@rabbitquartet9273 I was speaking healthwise. Personally I just think he looks fine, just young. His eyes are nice and bright. But ultimately, it's hard to make assumptions on care when we only have one photo/angle.
@@TealStoneHomestead peaking from experience be doesn't look fine I've owned rabbits for over 11 years and had quite a few Bunnies and I can he doesn't look healthy
@@rabbitquartet9273 I am also speaking from experience. I have owned rabbits since I was 11. I am now almost 28. But ultimately, as I said before, it's hard to tell from just one photo. And I think we should be careful in making such assumptions from a single photo.
I feel so sad for the rabbits I've had rabbits for over 11 year and currently have a 10 year old and just it breaks my heart to see rabbits being kept like that
I agree I have a rabbit that cage is to small way to small they need something to sleep in hey and a litter box
I had a rabbit from when I was 12 until I was 22 when my foster sister killed him. I can't imagine just keeping a bun in an unenriched tiny cage like that. Mine free-ranged the spare room whenever I was home and his cage was about 3x the size of the ones in the video for when i wasn't at home (I always was at home except when I was at school)
Aleksandra Isabella you don’t know how big the cage is
I've had rabbit's since I was born never not had them also rescued some and that rabbit was weak and mabey slightly sick from the improper care given for it most likely also had ingrown teeth as well there should be 0roper caet for every single animal In a person's care
I love your videos so much you inspired me to give my hamster a proper cage thank you 🐹 💕
Hi , you have inspired me to become a future animal rescuer and open up my own rescue centre. I’m currently designing my own cages that are the correct sizes not just for hammys and gerbils. But also chinchillas and other exotic animals. You are such a major inspiration for me, I love you and your work so so much 😍❤️❤️
Seeing that robo broke my heart. I have one and he needs soooo much more space than that to be happy
The fact the pups were kept outside shows that the owner is clearly heartless and doesnt care, who keeps puppues outside in the winter!
To me that read more like they found the box of puppies outside rather than them being the ones to keep the puppies outside, but I could be wrong.
As a rabbit owner I’m soooo sad to see the bunny so sad and obviously board because rabbits being animals of high intellect needs a lot of toys and them being social need a lot of love and would appreciate a friend even though they don’t NEED a friend it would help it’s so sad
They do NEED A friend that's like saying u never need to talk to another human ever
Fixing pets is SO important, but some owners are just ignorant and selfish. What a pity.
I advise you to do a little more research on the benefits of keeping your dog intact before bashing others for choosing not to spay or neuter.
bird's, especialy parrots, are abused the most. Small cages, horrible diets, mirrors, grit, it's horrible
For the rabbit the cage is way to small the smallest cage they should be in is 16 square feet (the size of a standard dog exercise pen). So true about the hay though rabbits need hay to properly digest food and can get serious complications without hay! That cage makes me so sad way way way too small.
The black and white rabbit looks healthy from the picture, and is probably less than a year old. The care of course is not good.
People who make unsuitable cages and sell them this is for you, why the frick do you make unsuitable cages how do you like if someone just stuck to you in a shoebox 😡
I adopted my baby hamster from Craigslist and now he is 3 months old and I love him😭❤️
Im a biologist who does research that includes animals. Free to a good home dogs would not be used in at least scientific research laboratory. I cannot speak on cosmetic laboratories since I'm not in that field.
rabbits can be kept in a cage... but only if the cage is a minimum of 12 sq feet (In the USA)- maybe 10 if dwarf... but they do need plenty of attention too and time out of the cage.
Dwarf rabbits definitely don't need less room they actually need more they are way more active then big rabbits
Yesss! My favorite videos!!
I have a bunny her name is somber and I am furious about the bunny’s in the cages they should not be in cages at all unless it has at least 5 by 5 feet of room and the first bunny looked a few months old I want to cry because of the bunny posts because of how bad they are ;-;
You look and sound like Winona Ryder O.o
Great video as always munchie 😊
I love the color of your hair! So sad how many animals out there need a good home with someone who has the time and commitment to take care of them.
Poor rabbit can you go onto UI stasis
In the UK pet shops encourage you to buy chew toys and a semi suitable wheel.
I had a rabbit who was living in a somewhat small cage but only stayed for the night in it and in the day it was free roam
