    Fond memories of this depot. Drove 47677 from the stabling point to fuel and back again. Also got a proper br bib given to me. All because my father was taking pictures of 47803 through the fence!

      I was only little then. I went with my dad everywhere. Sadly he’s no longer with us

    My youngest memories of wanting to watch railways were here whilst staying with relatives here in the early 70's.....
    I used to pester my dad to take me to stand by that level crossing and depot
    I distinctly remember what I think was an old steam loco standing behind the shed wall up against it, perhaps being used as a stationery boiler perhaps? Anyone know what loco it was

    Back in the days when Cross country services to Cardiff didn't consist of turbostars and a single voyager. Cardiff could do with some more through services.
