thank you, a few years ago I used to do patterns that lasted hours, sometimes days. However, now I don't have enough patience like before, so I often do simpler designs. Hopefully next time when life is more comfortable, I will have more patience to be able to do complex patterns again.

What is that wood peg you use for measuring/shaping the base wire? I’ve never see that and it looks like a brilliant way of measuring without having to Manage the slippery cabochon.

Normally I calculate the wire according to stone or circumference : the standard wire length x the ratio of stone or circumference. For example, if the stone is twice as big, we use a wire of double length ( compared to the wire needed with small stones) . However it depends on the sample there are different changes. With the new model I also had to try several times before getting the correct size.
Your work is beautiful. If you don’t speak English, it would be nice if you found someone who does that can narrate for you. It’s extremely frustrating to try to follow what is written and look down and see what you’re doing at the same time.

Does the weave on the bail have a name? Do you have a video on the bail? Everything was very clear until the bail and I need to see the pattern better.

Hello. Thank you for amazing tutorial. I have a question, all my wires are on the spool and when I want to work with them I have to unroll it to cut as much as I need. And then they are curved in all nasty ways and that doesn't help. Your wires seem really straight. Where do you buy them and how are they packed before use? :)

I use round copper wire for all my products. wire size and length of wire have subtitles in the first part of the clip and in the description ( with new clips, ordinal numbers> 278) I just give the parameters for reference. you can change to suit the material you have or your purpose

i am attempting to do this with a small cab that is 17mm long and i'm wonder how you do oyur calculations for the wire length for the coils?
Normally I calculate the wire according to stone or circumference : the standard wire length x the ratio of stone or circumference. For example, if the stone is twice as big, we use a wire of double length ( compared to the wire needed with small stones) . However it depends on the sample there are different changes.
With the new model I also had to try several times before getting the correct size.

I used to round copper wire - magnet wire , it's the only kind I found where I lived for many sizes. I do not know exactly what type it was, can be dead soft copper wire, it have plating layer, and not dark by time

Hello. Thank you for amazing tutorial. I have a question, all my wires are on the spool and when I want to work with them I have to unroll it to cut as much as I need. And then they are curved in all nasty ways and that doesn't help. Your wires seem really straight. Where do you buy them and how are they packed before use? :)

So the material list confuses the ____out of me....how many of what size wire do i need?

I just give the parameters for reference. you can change to suit the material you have or your purpose

I sort of made it but I improvised as well when I couldn't get things to set right. I posted a photo of it on my Facebook page if you want to go see it.
