Empire Ranch

Come with us as we explore the Empire Ranch, north of Sonoita and SE of Tucson. Site of many famous western movies, such as Red River with John Wayne, the ranch is operated by the BLM and is a self guided tour. Steeped in local and national history, the ranch reeks of old school western coolness. I only scratched the surface of the history of this place. That it is still available for public view is miraculous in itself since there were "plans" for the area that never materialized. This is a must do for any history buff!
