Well I recon that that Empire Ranch is close to Elgin az where the Southern Pacific supplied trains to the westerns such RED RIVER, the original 3:10 TO YUMA and OKLAHOMA to name just three. Not much there now and a real loss that it is gone. Regards Professor Pistolero

Willie Clark though the phrase muleskinner used to denote a person who drove mules, its has changed some; within my line of work, muleskinner is slang for a packer. I work in the Sierra Nevada mountains near the NV-CA boarder in the US

Willie Clark book wise, horses, hitches, and rocky trails by Joe back is a very good read, but there is packer wisdom out there that has just been past from mouth to mouth and hasn’t ever been written down. Talk to packers, hear their stories, learn from their mistakes Don’t be fooled, with donkeys, they are either your best friend or worst enemy, take care it’s the former

I figured it was a 20th century invention but I wasn't sure. Maybe a couple places had discounts but it probably wasn't a nationwide thing.

Movie's shutdown. I was scheduled to do one at Old Tucson and that week they pulled it due to covid.
