Morris seems like the last person who would have any dealings with someone trying to fake such events. An officer, a scholar, a very talented artist and inventor, cultivator of brilliant moustaches and a gentleman. R.I.P.

    • @MrBunghole666
      @MrBunghole666 2 года назад +11

The gentleman lost his young daughter, and thenceforth was committed, enveloped even, by the idea that he might be able to speak to her... in whatever phantasmagorical manner possible. Which one could understand, given such loss and longing. However one must take into account the pop media, intertextuality, and 'ghost culture' of the time. It is sad, it is very sad, that these young girls would egg this poor man on. But they were just young girls, oblivious, to his pain. They cannot be blamed. It is he who fell for the children's games, and it crushes me to see him blindly chase such hogwash.
For shame. The Mother should have stamped this madness out.

The fact that the voices were discovered to be produced by the "false vocal chords" is in fact something that could explain how she would have been able to produce these sounds herself. The use of these folds of skin in the throat at will is an acquired skill, utilised usually by voice artists but also by vocalists for death metal style growls/screams and techniques such as Mongolian throat singing. The use of the false vocal chords is dramatically easier on the throat than the use of the actual vocal chords. Saying that doing the voices would damage her throat is only true if those types of vocalisations were attempted using the vocal chords. The findings that she was using the false vocal chords explains how it was possible, not the contrary.

    • @LAkadian
      @LAkadian 8 лет назад +12

As someone well versed in using the false cords in the manner you say, I must say that after a few minutes I'm usually a bit itchy, but it's certainly possible to bear it for a couple hours if you speak lightly.
Also, I used to talk in that exact same voice as an 8 year old to scare my sisters, so it's not that amazing a feat really.

Once when i was 13 Years old, i was out meeting a friend. It was at 8 pm in the evening and it was pretty dark out there.
We came out straight from a door, i went on the right, he left. Shortly after, i saw a child (7-8y old) running down, i saw here for only 1-2sec until she disapperad behind a wall. i was wondering what she was doing there at this time alone and why she was that bright.
Shortly after, my mum and sister came from that direction. I asked them if they saw that child but they said "no, there wasnt any child". Behind that wall there was only one small street and they had to meet each other.
I was completly sober and not tired or something like that. Also it was bright enough to see every people passing that way.
I swear to everything i belive, that was a ghost, angel or something like that. Since then i belive in ghosts. This experience was too real to be "only an illusion". I mean, she came from nothing, ran near some streetlamps down that way and disapperad right before my Familie appeared.
You can belive that or not. It is just an experience from a stranger in the Internet 🤷‍♀️.

The issue is that the old man is responding the way a little girl would. It doesn't come across as how an old man would present. Children spell words out, not grumpy old men.
If I was doing the interview I'd say "Could you do something right now that this little girl could not? Could you move or levitate something?" He just starts asking "the ghost" questions as if the voice is enough proof for him.

+ImplosiveCat I believe it is part of the strangeness of this phenomena that so much of it can't be captured on film. I say this because I, too, had a poltergeist (though not nearly so dramatic as this one). I researched on line, and found out, for example, that no one actually sees the falling objects leave from their starting positions. This startled me, because that was exactly the case in my experience. I would hear a noise, look, and there would be the object bouncing off the floor.

three bedrooms,...however, what Noelle Jordan states is true. One cannot observe these things at their source. One can only observe the effects. The reporters at Enfield stated that the flying marbles seemed to appear from out of nowhere. As though they materialised from out of thin air.
A similar effect can be noticed in the famous two-slit experiment, whereupon lightwaves act differently if one tries to observe them at their source. This strange phenomena is well known in physics, and remains unsolved as to why this should occur.

Her husband is a drag queen and the clothes reappear after his debaucherous nights out while wearing them. Case closed.

I experienced over two years of poltergeist activity between the ages of about 11 and 13. It's a very real phenomenon. Nothing as extreme as in this video. But lights turning on and off, sudden knocks on tables etc right beside me, things occasionally flying across the room in from of me. And always when I was alone. My parents thought I was imagining it so I stopped talking about it and didn't tell many friends for fear of ridicule but it was very real and frightening for a young person.

How were you also able to determine that it was "an invisible hand"?
"Unless you've experienced it you wouldn't understand."
This is ALSO not logic. This is exactly why we do independent research. Just as an example, how are you able to rule out that you have psychological problems? I'm not trying to say you do. But it isn't lost on me that no one has EVER been able to show that the paranormal exists. I get the same argument regarding people and their favorite god. They say "you need to experience it yourself." No, actually I don't.
At best what we have here is something that we don't understand. The rest is simply guesswork on your part. You wouldn't pass even the simplest of scientific approaches.

Some people approach everything with their egos and pre-conceived ideas, and project their opinions instantly rather than observing or reading with an open mind. As such it's pointless discussing anything with them, as they're not receptive to new ideas, they perceive everything with a narrow mind because that's all they know.
I've worked as a journalist most of my life so I wasn't talking to myself in a psychiatrist hospital since the age of 13 if that's what you mean. Not that it matters.
I know what was going on now through what I've learned in later life through various associations and understandings they've given me. As well as other experiences of a different kind, none of which you'd be able to comprehend unfortunately. Maybe someday.
Hopefully you'll eventually see that there's more to the universe than your rather restricted mind currently permits you to, you certainly will when you die but hopefully before then. "Pre-judgment is the prison of the mind" as someone more perceptive than me once said. Take care.

Incorrect. I care that people in general don't believe in horseshit. And the best way for horseshit to continue to propagate is for people to not understand how to approach things in a clear and intelligent way. You demonstrated exactly how NOT to do this. That is what I want people to see.
"project their opinions instantly rather than observing or reading with an open mind"
Which is exactly what you demonstrated. You drew a number of conclusions that were simply incorrect. Here they are:
Something weird happened - therefore poltergeists.
Something weird happened more than once - therefore poltergeists.
Something moved - therefore it was the hand of the poltergeist I already believe in.
I saw it with my own eyes - therefore poltergeists.
This is about as unscientific as it gets. I asked you how you were able to discount a number of other things. You had no response. Therefore, you should not have drawn any conclusions.
"I know what was going on now through what I've learned in later life through various associations and understandings they've given me."
This is a euphemism for "I found other people who also believe this". You know that this is how religions work, right? It doesn't make them true. Again, this is called Confirmation Bias, in which we find something that agrees with a belief we already hold. How many scientists did you talk to? What kind of scientific fact finding was done in a controlled environment? The ghost hunters you see with tape recorders aren't actually scientific.
      "Maybe someday."
This is another really bad ploy that religious people also try to use. "Some day you'll see ".
This is a sure sign that you have no real evidence, otherwise you would present it. That's quite telling.
"Hopefully you'll eventually see that there's more to the universe than your rather restricted mind currently permits you to"
Again, this is something that religious people like to say. I'm open to ANYTHING. But I'm also skeptical. You seem new to this world where EVERYONE makes claims. Some of us ask for evidence. The paranormal has NEVER been shown to exist. So I don't believe it. I don't say there is no such thing, but I don't believe this. Pure and simple. And anyone who believes you purely on some things you say, are idiots.

My family went through extreme poltergeist activity back in the 70's
when we were living at 1723 Downing Street in Greensboro North Carolina.
Our family was close and affectionate and was made up of my husband, myself, our
son and daughter and our beloved family dog.
The house in question was built in 1965 and we
were the first family there but indeed, it was built over what had been a
lake and there were underground springs and creeks all around us with
moving water. I mention that as It is my understanding that this is commonly reported in
many poltergeist cases. As for the history of the land is all I know is our neighborhood was
once built on a cow pasture. Who was there before then I do not know.
When my husband and I first moved in my kids were like 5 and 1
years old and I did have a few odd experiences like smelling perfume in
the house that was odd smelling that nobody wore. There were also
feelings of having something rapidly coming up behind one and feeling
not so much as evil but high weirdness of something very old and
completely non-human. The feeling of feeling one was being watched was a
common experience. Not far away behind our house was a graveyard but we
dismissed the idea of ghosts as neither my husband or I thought the dead could haunt a location.
Not much more happened for several years
till my daughter and son grew up. Before the real explosion of
poltergeist activity the woods behind our house and leading to the
graveyard was a place my son and many of the kids enjoyed playing at. At
the time, it was not seen odd as none of us thought in anyway that a
graveyard could be a concern. It was curious that the thick creeks in the woods
was known by the older kids as 'haunted pools' - why the name and when it came it
was unknown. When my daughter was about 16 and my son
was about 12 we had a the first big amounts l of poltergeist activity in
our home for several months. It started first with my daughter who had a
conversation one night before going to bed and talking to her Dad
about the Devil and how stupid he was thinking he could overthrow God in
heaven. That night at about 1 am she had objects fly off her walls and a huge
gust of wind blowing through the room despite no open windows. She
was scared but not so scared to have a seance with her friends during her 16th birthday.
After that she would find at times at night having
weird experiences like waking to find her hand being held by a small
withered hand or hearing a loud bangs on the wall. The seance was
something she and her friends did on their own as a joke - it was not
something that was routine or approved of in our home but soon after
this the weirdness was manifest. Strong gust of wind would sometimes
come from nowhere and blow through the house.
Though experiences could happen anytime of day, I would say 90% of the
time the activity happened at night from between Midnight and 3am. If I
were to venture a guess, the entry point or portal was located in a
closet space shared by my son's and sisters room as the doors of the
closet would sometimes open on their own during manifestations in our
home. It got to the point that my son would tie a belt around his closet
door handles before going to bed at night because it often opened at night before
weird activity began - of course this didn't stop
the trouble but it made him feel better that the closet door remained
    closed at night.
The sound of heavy objects falling and breaking glass occurred in other
rooms but when observed nothing was to be seen. However, the focus
shifted from her very quickly to completely focus on my 12 year old son.
It is hard to describe all the evens from slamming doors, sheets being
yanked off beds, shaking beds , flickering lights and all of us being
awakened at night by having a hand shake one awake or messing with ones
feet or bed coverings. Even stranger was the experience my son had was
after being awakened by a shaking bed he sat up and flicked on the light
and then felt something invisible, big and heavy bound into the bed next
to him that knocked him over and then was just as quickly gone. That incident was the one my son
reported as most freaking him out was that experience. He described it like being on the bed and imagining if a huge obese invisible man
were to jump into bed with you and then vanish - all happening in about 3 seconds.
We were not alone in all of this -The family dog was pretty freaked out when
this would happen and he would bark and growl at unseen presences but
usually acted very afraid and was eager to be outside the house than
inside it. Most of the poltergeist activities it seemed to happen during
my sons REM sleep when his bed would shake so we think his unconscious
was letting lose. Of course, many, perhaps half of the activity was not
the 1am to 3am variety but would happen in the middle of the day as
well. When the bed shaking occurred my husband and I would get up and go
into his bedroom and see him asleep with the bed go back and forth. At
first my husband and I took it to be completely demonic opened up by the
silly teenage seance my daughter had engaged in but the psychological
aspects could not be missed as well. My son was hyperactive and on
Ritalin. The Ritalin helped him focus like a stimulate but it had a side
effect of stunted growth to the degree he was behind normal physical
growth and development by a full year. We thought perhaps the Ritalin
might had been affecting his CNS but it appeared it was the bed moving
him - not the other way around. In short, there was probably something
in that house from the time we moved in but our son was clearly the
battery that caused things to go crazy when he became of age.
We had a Catholic priest come bless the home, this did work
but it only knocked off the activity for about 10 days before it started
up again. The priest was very enlightened and told us that though demons do
sometimes wreck homes what we had was likely a poltergeist which is basically a demon 3rd class
on assignment for a short trial period and could steal energy from anything from a fight in a home
or pent up libido. He advised us all to relax more, laugh more and pray more
and make the 'the house light'. He told us poltergeist are affected by blessing but unless
they are done weekly they will keep coming back so the best solutions lay with our family
as he didn't have time to come by each week to bless the home. He asked about
things that might have invited evil in and my son ended up getting rid of a big collection
of horror comics which went into the trash.
One funny bit of symbolism that I did not catch to many
months later was the poltergeist at the first part of it's manifestation
did so while we were eating dinner. We were all around the table and
talking and laughing and my son had a tall glass of milk in front of him
in a tall glass and it suddenly exploded. Nobody was hurt by the glass
but the milk went straight up in a crazy manner all over the ceiling
till it rained down on all of us. The symbolism of this pent up energy
is kind of clear. It might be the case that the Ritalin that had stunted his growth
might have built up huge levels of energy as my son told me years later he
didn't get his first wet dream till he was 14 which bothered him as all his friends had gotten them
by 13 years old . My husband had told him not to worry about it
and nature had it's own time for him. Of course there is a problem with that theory as well as the poltergeist activity largely
ended a full year or more before that so that one explanation is not complete.
It is fascinating that strong emotions and libido can
provide such huge stores of energy for poltergeist to pull from and one
one learns to unplug them from their source they cannot manifest without
a power source to tap. The key to killing the poltergeist was creating a
happy relaxed home. After about 6 months it was pretty much over with.
It was the most amazing and terrifying 6 months of our lives and a eye -
opening awakening to the world of the paranormal. After all the years
of thinking of this I can only conclude we had every thing and multiple
causes to create a perfect poltergeist environment. Though it was not
fun to go through, it was very interesting and to a degree, deepened all
of our faith as we did conclude we were not dealing with PK but with
intelligent beings with a twisted sense of humor. This became clear when
the poltergeist in our home seemed to take a great deal of dislike for a
blessed crucifix we kept in the hall and a picture of Jesus. These were
often turned upside down or found laying on the floor knocked off which
suggest this being had a strong dislike for these items. I am open to various ideas
to explain what happened here. Would love to hear from anyone who have had an experience
    with a poltergeist

I don’t know what it was and still don’t. I hear seeing things as well as things moving but my experience was something I’ve never heard about or at least yet anyways. I hate talking about because it’s scary and it makes ya look crazy by most why very few people even know. My dad and daughter are it. I can’t talk to my husband about anything to do with the paranormal. He gets very upset and doesn’t believe it whatsoever.
We live in an older house. I think it was built in the mid fifties. Within a year I lost two people to death which was my mother and step father 6 months between the 2 both mid 50s and unexpected. It seems my health as well as my husbands has gotten worse and depression runs bad here. Seems like we have had the worst of luck from health to wealth lack of that is...
Anyways I would be in the house and I would hear my son say ,”Mom” just plain as day. I’d go see what he wanted and he would say he never called me. Of course I’d be all confused saying I heard you, but he would say mom I didn’t call you. This has happened about 4 times. I’ve lived here I’d say 7 years now so I guess I shouldn’t complain only hearing it that many times. It’s just very unnerving because it sounds like my son so something is mocking his voice..
I’ve had lights turn on and I know I just shut them off and things I know I sat down being somewhere else and I know I didn’t put it there. I actually had my mother say my name through the tv. I tried to tell myself I was crazy and I was just hearing things but soon as I told myself that and went back to what I was doing I heard her again even louder saying “Angie” which when I was a kid she only called me that when I wasn’t listening to her cause she knew I hated Angie then I’d pay attention. I actually ran out my house cause I knew then I wasn’t hearing things and I wasn’t crazy. I called my dad up crying so hard cause I was so scared. I feel so bad now about that I wish she would do it again if it was her cause I wouldn’t run I’d see what she wanted.
Okay I guess the most scared I have been out of all of this and here goes... about a year of living here I was n bed one night and as I’m almost asleep I feel something at the foot of the bed jump on it and walk up beside my body never touching it but it got to my waste and that was it. I looked cause I had cats at the time and they jump on the bed all the time so I figured it was one of them but nothing was there.. I could tell it had 4 legs walked and weighed what a cat would also . I just thought they must of jumped off even though I never seen them so I let it go.. well month two later does it again and exactly like the first experience so I’m like something isn’t right here. So months go by and I go in my sons room and it’s n the day and I start to fall asleep and boom I feel like a cat jumped on the bed next to me and I won’t move or look cause when I do it stops. So I’m really feeling it and it’s moving slowly towards me to the point I’m like this is my cat this time and I get mad cause I just cleaned the carpet and I didn’t want in there then I’m like how did it get in here? That’s when I raised up quickly and not a thing was there.
Well I tell no one about this and my daughter happens to move while she is getting a place in another state and it’s not ready so of course I let her move in.. One day I was at the kitchen table and she was n living room. She starts to tell me that the night before she thought a cat jumped in the bed with her but she didn’t see it. Omg my heart froze. I asked her have u felt that before and she goes yes one other time but I figured it was one of your cats yet I never seen them and I was like how did they even get in here the door is closed and locked so she goes I guess I’m going crazy. That’s when I said Sadie I have felt that too about 3 times and I never see anything. I said why did you think it was a cat? It’s exactly what I thought too and she said the way it walked and the weight. I asked if she felt it and she said no which I never did either and she said it stopped when it got to her waist which is exactly where it stopped on me. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. She had felt it too which confirmed I wasn’t losing my mind. My daughter is very scared of the unknown and anything paranormal can cause he to badly freak out so I let it go and didn’t talk about it with her again cause I didn’t want her to be in fear while she lived here with me..
Now the last time I felt this was the worst it had ever done. I had been watching a show for several months about these brothers that go and help families out that are experiencing paranormal activity or demonic possession. I have prayed for many of the families as well for the brothers to be safe and protected. I think this may be the reason why this happened soon as it did I felt it was why.. I’m laying in bed with my husband. I’m trying to go to sleep as I’m laying there I can feel the bottom of the bed moving I’m like here we go I think that things back I was saying this in my head cause my husband was asleep. I start to feel it crawl up the bed towards me but it’s slower and a little heavier and I’m getting this feeling like this is different something isn’t right so I move my legs towards it which I never done before and I felt it.. The best I can describe is it had long hair and it was very very coarse almost felt like braids would feel anyways soon as I felt that I screamed out something is in here but my husband wouldn’t wake up.. I started praying so hard and fast to God and as soon as I said ,” I’m God’s name, Amen” I heard this absolute horrible scream like a demon screaming and it was gone then my husband wakes up and I’m crying asking him why didn’t he wake up or hear me? He said be never heard nothing. He said his eyes just opened up and he didn’t know what was going on.
I haven’t felt it since but it takes breaks . I’m hoping my prayer stopped it and I think that’s why it made this scream .. what I’m telling is 100% true. I would never make a thing like this up. I hate talking about it even writing this I have gotten scared. I know I shouldn’t cause that’s what evil feeds off of your fear. I have God protecting me and I believe in that fully. I hope your situation is better and if you would like to ask me anything I’m here... Ty for taking the time to read all this!

This has popped up on the RUclips algorithms today for some reason. This was an EXTREMELY famous case. Covered in countless books and magazines and documentaries, including the BBC’s “Is There Anybody There?”. I’m not sure if it was that documentary or something made afterwards, but in an interview, Janet did admit to faking it all. I can’t remember the reason for it. It may have been for attention and then when the media got hold of it she just had to keep going and going to keep the reporters and film crews happy. Give them a show, so to speak. Very sad. It’s astounding, really how convincing it all was. Fooled EVERYONE for YEARS. It’s amazing actually, with modern technology and time passing, how many paranormal events and photos and videos just get explained and debunked.

If you haven’t experienced anything paranormal you’re lucky. I’m from Europe, we moved to our new home 17 years ago. When we first moved in there was a lot of dead flies on the ground and also other insects even though the place was cleaned every 2 days before we moved in. Later on, me and my sister started experiencing weird things going on such as dolls moving by themselves and other objects. We told our parents but they didn’t believe us. Years later I found out that the guy who lived there before us (30 years ago) took his own life in our bathroom. I even captured a “thing” that looked like a monk from the medieval era who was kneeling down behind me…. So…. You’re lucky if you haven’t experienced anything paranormal in your life. It really messes with your mental health.

Darren Herbert yes it was much better and it was better because Lorraine and Ed Warren were never involved in the Enfield Haunting Case at the level they have claimed they were and then they monopolized using the haunting created by their lies. They made one trip to Enfield, England and was there for ONLY 2 days and did not sleep in the house. They had very little involvement in the situation & they most certainly were not the people who helped this family thru this

    • @robinklein5776

@@armurph1102 this is tue, I love ed and Lorraine however they really only stopped by a bit in this case. Did not have much to do with it besides what?? Lorraine saying it is a demon? Which is was not, it was a spirit of a grumpy old man who died there and did not want to leave. Outof fright or out of being scared to cross, sometimes it is where they as well liked to be most and he still feels it is his home. Many things can create this type of haunting and sadly unlike Loraine universe rest her soul. She would name many things demonic, when many things where not all demonic. :) We have monsters and grumpy people alive, Some don't drop to cross so they stay the same on the other side. Getting grumpier being stuck there as well. I always used to shake my head though loving how she always did help people. I wanted to tell her, no it's not always a demon. Sometimes its just a really disgusting person who past over and is choosing to keep who they where here.
