I think he barely glanced on the plunger, which somehow was enough to trigger it. He had his hand very close to it, so that’d make sense, but something they probably would have to fix so the trigger for it wasn’t so sensitive.
Robert was the first (but not the last) contestant I would worry about in terms of how he played. Not in terms of strategy, but his hands. I was worried he would hurt himself the way hit the button...
Roberts last total was $4,598 not 900 😁. 6:20 Shouldn’t have gotten to respin?🤔 I know the boards been glitching but he didn’t stop the board. If it was a Whammy maybe they would’ve. At least i hope so.
@@ShadowLinkxMaster If I was looking at those two spellings for the first time, I would think Chubaca was the correct one and Chewbacca was how a 5 year old would spell it haha...
Jim still had 3 spins when he whammied out. I think those spins should've automatically defaulted to Robert, which would've made the game more interesting, and Terry would've still had a chance in the game.
Haha I know. I don't think we need 10 episodes a day of steve Harvey's family feud. Ugh 2014-15 was their last good year thanks to them taking some 1986 episodes outta the vault.
Jon McCaleb yeah if they aired Family Feud (Both O’ Hurley and Harvey), Press Your Luck (Both Original and Whammy!), The Original Pyramid, maybe air some more Match Game, maybe then could the channel get some viewers!
If you watch closely, he actually touched the top of the buzzer which registered as a press. It was rather sensitive because the micro switch was on the cap of the buzzer rather than the base. They later switched to bottom-mounted micro switches when they added the yellow base.
Debut of the Shark riding, Hula Dancing, Plane Flying, And Bulldozer Driving Whammies.
I love how in these early episodes with the original opening, you can actually hear the first note of the prologue theme as clear as a bell.
the pre intro cue gets me hyped up.
I always appreciated the Whammy! Especially Tammy Whammette!
"a decision making process" LOL
Terry has a very smooth voice
Jim's readout is really goofy when he hit those whammies
14:47 We don't need any more Whammies... (3 seconds later) Uh-oh. (WHAMMYTROLLED)
PETER SHOULDNT SAID THAT!!!!!
I like the wide shot of the board better than the close up one
lol, classic peter "Out of the sky"
Thanks for uploading!
Just me or what. Jims second spin stopped with out him touching anything?
Yeah, there were so many technical glitches in this episode! The "$ $0" scoreboard was the weirdest, though.
The whammy forgot to take the dollar sign with him!
wow that was weard he didnt touch the button,to bad it wasnt more money though L
Even Jim looked surprised that the board stopped without him doing it...

Imagine if Todd Newton hosting Press your luck in the 80's and Peter Tomarken hosting Whammy in 2002!!

Wow the two pictures of the square is disappeared...@18:14
The board was in its break-in phase during the first few weeks so it was happening quite a bit at first
That’s in the first episodes yes.
Robert reminds me of Matthew Broderick
Kenneth Arrow , the economit
the next episode i do believe was from september 23 1983
4:01 - ROFL, they misspelled Chewbacca! XD
Not the only mispelling over the course of the run...
I was so confused lol. I thought I had been spelling it wrong the whole time.
Honestly Chubaca sounds more formal than Chewbacca. XD
@@ShadowLinkxMaster If I was looking at those two spellings for the first time, I would think Chubaca was the correct one and Chewbacca was how a 5 year old would spell it haha...
6:22 what happened there? Looks like the game broke. He didn't even push the button and the sound stopped
He might have bumped the button.
MikeTheKav yeah I believe that, his hands did sorta touched the button
Robert and Terri’s winnings combined were a total of $12,854
press your luck

Unfortunately, whatever spins remain when a Whammy Out happen just go away...
Great episode. Terry was very smart and pretty. Jim and Robert were both handsome as well.

EXCELLENT!!! I think gsn is finally giving up its "network for lame games" policy. THANK YOU FOR THE UPLOADS!
Jon McCaleb now it’s returning the network for lame games policy! Seriously the only good Gameshow on the channel now is Whammy!

Let’s say PYL debuted in 1972. The round one board would’ve ranged from 25-$500. Round 2 board would be $250-$1500.
That’s the dumbest thing I ever heard.
All your figure it out vids are private can you that change please please
since press your luck whammy debut in September 1983 wheres the double your money plus one spin space at
That doesn't appear until march 1984
season 3
18:12 - I accidentally the Big Board.
17:11 there are TWO dollar signs!
Looks like his total is now $ $0
@@somerandomgameranimator4481 I can't argue with them, it's only the first week of this show.
8:55 One of the funniest whammies
what was up with that spin at 6:22?
Probably the plunger set up too sensitive. He probably brushed it enough to trigger it.
If you watch closely, he actually touched the top of the buzzer which registered as a press. It was rather sensitive because the micro switch was on the cap of the buzzer rather than the base. They later switched to bottom-mounted micro switches when they added the yellow base.
And Jim is Out At 18:13
and wheres the pick a conner space as wewll on press your luck
That didn't appear until episode 115 in March 84
TERRY IS A SMART CHINESE LADY
