    The best part of this game is that every level you’ll be introduced to new game play mechanics, instead most platform game just changing the theme. What the game probably suffered most from is that is got released far into the lifespan on the SNES. So very few people have a nostalgia factor playing.

    When I was a kid this was one of the games that made me feel like I was “playing a cartoon.” I usually got that feeling from Genesis Disnep games like Mickey Mania and Aladdin. I was always amazed by games that looked like cartoons at that time. Comix Zone, Maui Mallard, this game, Bonk games, and things like that fascinated me.

  • @DarkZide8
    @DarkZide8 3 года назад +5

    Yeah, this game is actually really good. I do think you are way too hard on it - but at least you point out some real flaws that do exist in the game, like some of item-platforming levels.
    One thing that "ruined" the game for me is that you actually get 4 bones from enemies if you defeat them via jumping on them - which made me use the club less.
    I do think the club is kinda awesome in this game, it feels good when you start hitting on an enemy - so there to be an incentive to not use it is boring.
    I think it is same with the weapons - they are all amazing, but you get less bones again. Still, that's just a thing that's up to the player to decide if they want to use or not.
    IGAvanias have the same flaw.

    One of the games I haven't seen on here yet are the Star Trek TNG games. Would love to see you cover those. Love the channel by the way. It's a great trip down memory lane and is just really chill and relaxing to listen to.

    There's nothing quite as sad as a game where there was clearly love put into it but then some serious issues that hold it back and make it less fun.

    Pfft...The box shows a prehistoric caveman wearing sunglasses and leaning on a wooden club.
    All jokes aside, the graphics and animations are pretty damn nice looking for a game I never even wanted to try. This is literally the 1st time I've ever seen gameplay footage for this game.
    P.S. When I was in 7th or 8th grade, going through my AC/DC phase, I thought the lyrics to the chorus of "Dirty Deeds" was "Dirty deeds and the Thunder Chief"...I didn't know what it meant, but it sounded awesome.
