  • In this video, we explain the DV lottery high and low case numbers. If you are one of the lucky winners, you will receive a receipt number for the geographic location of your country and instructions on how to apply for your green card. There are six geographic regions: Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, and South America and the Caribbean. Winners will be instructed to check the DOS Visa Bulletin to learn when their cutoff numbers appear under the appropriate region (or in some instances, their country). You'll need to look at the chart for the Diversity Immigrant (DV) Category.
    Please note that the Department of State will not send you an email notification or a notice in the mail, informing you that you have been selected, so it is important to check for the DV 2025 lottery results status all by yourself using your confirmation number, last name and year of birth by visiting the official DV program website.
    When you get selected, completing your DS260 form as early as possible can help boost your chances of getting an interview faster.

    Hello brother, about the issue of submitting documents, I heard that this year winners will not be submitting their documents to the kcc they only have to bring them to the interview. Do you have any update on this?

    I alwys enjoy your videos👍. But i taught earlier that u only recieve 2nl with an interview date on it when there is a place for you to be interviewed at the selected embassey. So why will you need to transfer after recieving 2nl, can you clarify that for me please🙏

    • @Journey_WithTheYankyeras
      @Journey_WithTheYankyeras  2 месяца назад

      No, the 2NL only lets you know that you are eligible to go for an interview and the interview date you get will depend on the US embassy performance in your home country. So if based on the appointment date on the 2NL, it is not favorable or may likely be after the fiscal year, then you may think of transferring but if not, you can keep your appointment information as is.

      @@Journey_WithTheYankyerasThat is very educative, well done for that enlightenment. I wish to add my voice to your submission.
      YES, it is true that you can change your interview appointment center after receiving the 2NL notification. This could only be done with a very tangible reason. Such reason could be if you have relocated to another country where you want to have your interview in that country that you currently leave. Another reason could be conflict or unrest in your country. Definitely, such changes will definitely postpone the date to be interviewed and it has it's disadvantages.
      Note that all DV lottery 2NL letter come with the exact date, embassy and time to be interviewed. Also, all DV lottery interview dates are scheduled before 30th September of the fiscal year so there is no where DV lottery interview has ever been scheduled beyond the 30th September within the fiscal year. So no one can change his interview location after receiving the 2NL on the basis that he thinks the embassy may no comply with the date on the 2nd notification letter. So far as one receives the 2NL notification, it's a must for the interview to be held within the exact or specified date stated in the 2NL which falls within the fiscal year. The interview could only be cancelled by KCC when visas get finished within the fiscal year. This unfortunate incident happened even last year (DV 2024) and a lot of selectees had their interview cancelled in September. Official notification to this effect was given by KCC.

      Thanks for sharing these insights, the challenge with the poor performing US embassies is that even when your case number is due for an interview KCC is not able to issue the 2NL because there are no interview appointment dates for these countries. I know someone from Ghana with a case of around 17,000 but still yet to receive a 2NL

    How about submitting the DS260 to a foreign country with less wait time rather than waiting to transfer the case

    • @Journey_WithTheYankyeras
      @Journey_WithTheYankyeras  2 месяца назад

      That may be possible but you will need to coordinate that with respective US embassy. Since the DV lottery visa is an immigrant visa, there are some complications that may come with submitting the DS260 in a foreign country. To do so, you will need to be a resident in that country and have an address. Also need to consider how to go about your medicals and getting police clearance or background check completed. So though it is possible, there are some hoops you need to jump through

    • @USMLEBOOSTER
      @USMLEBOOSTER 2 месяца назад

      @@Journey_WithTheYankyeras thanks for getting back to me. Police clearance is only for a county the applicant has lived in for more than 6 months. So they can still have address in a county but less than 6 months. Medicals is definitely in the county of visa interview.

      Follow the instructions provided in the video and I am sure you will be all sorted out when the time comes. First things first, once selected go ahead fill your DS260 form for your home country asap and wait for the 2NL to make an moved on transferring to another country

      And what other valid reason than to let them know that you are due for an interview but there are no slots available at the US embassy in your home country? If you have any other valid reasons or ways for people to go about this, please share to educate everyone.

      @@Journey_WithTheYankyerasplease Sir, I believe you definitely know that a high case number of 40k or even 30,000 is likely not to get an interview appointment in Ghana. Meaning, such a selectee won't get the 2NL notification. So why are you advising such selectees to pick Ghana as their venue of interview when filling the DS 260. Meanwhile if such a selectee at the time of submitting the DS260, chooses Uganda or Sierra Leon, that person will get his/her 2nl letter and attend the interview.
      4 months to end interview and as of last week the highest case number interviewed by American embassy Ghana in DV 2024, is 5k (5000). Imagine this. They kill a lot of people's American dream. I know someone who is a DV 2024 selectee with case number 19k. When submitting the DS260, he chose Sierra Leon, he has received his 2nl letter, successfully gone for the interview and he's now in America. Even Kenya that has a lot of selectees are are beyond 30k in their interview. In DV 2023, a friend of mind had a high case number, his case became current but he never got his 2nl letter. However, another selectee with a higher case number than my friend's own had the hint early and transferred his case to Cote Dvore. He received his 2nl and was successful in the interview. When my friend decided to transfer his case, it was too late for him because his case was current.

    Hi sir 🤗♥️
    I'm a real fun of you me and my wife.
    In fact my wife is a dv winner this year 2024 and we are from tunisia and we choose our embassy in Tunisia for the interview.
    The problem is that her case number is a high Case number 94.000 and we sent out ds-260 all the family with our two kids in 48 hour after releasing the result.
    The total number of winners in Tunisia is just 221 winners sir .
    I write to kcc a couple of Time to know if my ds was processed and they answered me that my forms was received and currently processed and take several weeks for processing which i do not understand.
    Both of us are teacher in public function and we have not any legal problem any .
    Please sir have we a chance for interview if ti goes current or on the three last visa bulletin and after all the gaps and holes.
    Please answer us ❤️

      If you really know how interview are scheduled for DV lottery selectees, you wouldn't make such a statement.
      There are some high case numbers if you even fill the DS 260 on the same day that the results were released, still you won't get interview appointment. This happens in countries where the DV lottery selectees are huge eg, Ghana, Cameroon, Kenyan. In these same countries with over 3000 DV lottery winners or selectees, if you a selectee has low or mid case number and you submit you DS260 late, somewhere August going, the chances of not getting interview appointment is high, unless your case number is very very low.
      A case number of 40000 is likely not to get an appointment in Ghana but if such a case number finds itself in Uganda, even if it's submitted late, the person will get interview because the number of selectees in Uganda are very few.

      @@ALFREDEBONKANSAH-jp7zvno where in this video did I mention that because you fill your DS260 early then you get a higher chance of getting an interview. I explained how the high and low case numbers work with examples. All I said about filling the DS260 form is to ensure that you have everything ready to go so that once you are up for an interview, you are ready to go. If anything, your point is confirming the information shared in this video. Taking time to watch the full content of the video will help you get the full picture. Without the DS 260, you can’t schedule an appointment even if you are due for an interview. Hope you watched the part I explained where to read the visa bulletin along with your case number?
