I watched it back when it came out. Funnily enough I am just now rewatching the entire season before finishing the last part of season 4 that came out and got to this part a little after 2 am. Alone in my room as well and completely forgot about this part. Was totally grooving to the end credits music and about to go to bed after what was a long 10 episode binge. This freaked me the fuck out!! 😂

🙋♂️ here, @me checking in. I watched it alone in my room at like 2:15 am and it freaked me out so much haha. I am rewatching entire series before finishing with the new final part of season 4 that released and completely forgot about this nice surprise despite having already seen it. It still hits just as hard as it did back then! So incredible. I can’t wait to see the epic battle that ensues. They do a great job of getting your hopes up only to absolutely demolish them with the roof scene. It’s so distressing in the best way

i still remember this ending, im very late to watch this anime. so i watched it on netflix. those episodes before this i always skipped the ending song cz there was a skip button to next episode. but in this eps there is no skip button, so i have to watch the ending, and BOOM that scene was so epic. Never forget.

Man, i had read the manga as it came out, so I was in the know about things. But I didn’t watch season 3 because I temporarily exited the aot scene bc of how bleak it all got. Through the years, I sort of stayed updated about the manga, knowing how it ended in 2021. But I didn’t pick the anime up from 2017 (season 2) until a month ago with the release of the Final Season Part 3 now in 2023. I went six years without the anime. So I started all over from season 1, and I was in the car on a road trip watching this episode, and I stayed for the ending bc the ep made me wanna sit with it for a minute, and then the glitch hit. Now, I had heard this audio before, from a tiktok some months ago, in a video ab trying to explain aot to nonwatchers. But I thought the audio was made by tiktokers mashing up clips to show how fucked up it gets. I thought it was an edit. Not real.
So imagine it happening, but this time I get the whole sequence and the visual. My jaw DROPPED. I got chills up my entire spine and the hair raised on my arms. I was in utter shock, and amazement because NO WAY THEY DID THIS. And I ate it right up! That was so freaky! The double glitch, and going right back into the ending again like nothing happened. What a feat. Perfectly foreboding and anxiety inducing. I would’ve never expected something like this. It was the best thing I’d ever seen. And I recognized flashes of frames and it was stuff from the past and things get to come. Seeing frames from season 2’s ending made me especially giddy, considering it is the most foreshadowing piece of aot and tells of the great reveal of Ymir. It’s the best reason to return to the anime. This ending made me so grateful I watched it, and so ashamed that I missed out so hard for so many years! No matter what feelings the Marley arc and forward pull from me, this is the shit that makes it worth all the pain.

What I find irritating is that most of these anime reactors love hearing themselves talk. Only a few I can count on one hand I can react to that doesn't talk constantly during every minute of the show. Then get frustrated about not knowing what's going on. A reaction isn't just visuals it's also the dialogue. No one's asthma to react in silence but take a breath once in a!
