Like, do you have some kind of insight about how a combo will play out or do you just watch someone else do it and try to replicate what he does by spicing it up with your own style? It's all so well calculated and put together, I could never do stuff like this on the fly, congrats :)
Coming up with combos in a game is kinda like maths. You might think you struggle with it, but it just takes time to logically put certain core steps together. First thing you have to do is know the moves of the game. If you actually KNOW all/most of the moves the first step is solved, command input. Next you need to know what the effects of the moves are on an enemy and the character that uses them. How far does it push them, in what direction how long are they incapacitated for, apply that analysis to both enemy and character, then decide which moves - based on the second steps' outcomes can follow other moves. That's pretty much it, then practice them and you'll get muscle memories and it'll get easier to improvise and mix things up

Some of these setups, yes. The fu combos are difficult. The desync stuff is very taxing on my hand and I get tired of it quickly if I keep trying to go for it

Usually I come up with a specific setup that usually takes about 4-7 seconds and then try to build a combo around it with setups that I'm used to
