Hello, SHRM has HR structure as 1. Functional 2. Centralized 3. Decentralized 4. Dedicated. I keep getting these wrong because of how my company is structure. It is global. Can you explain Dedicated and Functional. Thank you

Well, in a functional structure, the HR policies are developed at the headquarters and locations and HR generalists implement the policies organization wide and the various locations of the organization. Headquarters HR can be isolated from the local realities.
In a dedicated structure, business units with different strategies apply HR expertise to each unit’s strategic needs. So, the office in Ohio would develop HR policies which are conducive to workplace requirements in Ohio and not the head quarters in New York.
Dedicated - Dedicated to the needs of the specific office - creating policy for the local office
Functional - Responsible for the entire organization, creating policy for the entire organization.
      Hope, I am making sense.

You have too many interruptions with your dumb plugs. Do it at the end or at the beginning or have notifications without voice over.

Thank you for the feedback....however based on the way you have framed your comment, I wonder if you are an HR professional. If you aren't, then I don't think this is the career f for you 😄
