I had to cut off a really close friend. I called her out on her bullshit (aka holding her accountable) and she didn't know how to take it. I told her what she needed to do to fix the situation and nothing changed. Just kept getting apologies without corrective action. This is the first friend I really had issues with so it took longer than expected to get over it

What Cynthia said about going out with your friends is important. Your partner should be cool with you enjoying yourself outside of the relationship; it is healthy. If your partner doesn’t allow that and is jealous/possessive, it is a huge red flag.HOWEVER, the notion that it is okay for her to go out and act single for the night is BS and it is toxic. You are playing a dangerous game and I am positive she wouldn’t want her man to be flirting and acting single just cuz she’s not around. This is a recipe for disaster; man or woman. Don’t play single or you’ll probably end up that way.
