What are your thoughts on downwinding a new mid-length board around 5'6 x 19" @50-60L? I'm thinking they might have the best of both worlds in that they get going easy, good to turn and give more 'safety volume'.
I was thinking the same. I want something that will get a very small foil going easily and is long enough that the paddle still makes sense. That also provides plenty of float if something goes sideways. That will definitely be something I try in the future if I can get my hands on one.
Got run out of Sebastian today, no vessel registration, supposed to register and display 3 inch letters on the side…..impossible obviously, have you run into this?. Thanks, Don
Nice perspective, ironic since I was looking at Appletree skippers yesterday for the first time, thinking about my use case for a downwinder.
2024 Appletree Skipper DW Prone is a pretty sic option I would like to try that 57L with a Foil Drive. 🤙!
Great video
thanks for loaning me the board to make it! It has been a fun process! 🤙
great system
🤙
Very helpful video thanks. What cable length on the foil drive are you using with the larger board?
I typically use a 15 or 20. I am not sure what I had on that day, but likely the 20.
