Keeping the lifespan on long can let you explore the horse ranch pack a little more. I'd love to see you doing some of the community jobs. You can access them from the board that's in you area and for some you need sheep or goats as well. The ranch hands are super-buggy and they don't always show up.
Something I did in my decades challenge that was very realistic was added a room on the backside of the kitchen with a fireplace and put the bathtub in there. Basically I had a fireplace in the kitchen for warmth and another on the backside of it facing this little room for washing. Then the chimney went up between them up to the second floor (I did put the black wood stove up there too). They didn’t have a thermostat but only used fireplaces for warmth in the winter. Strangely I never had a fire from them but I also made sure things weren’t too close except for something decorative siting on the mantle. By the way if you get the changing table and put a hamper next to it instead of a garbage can your mom will automatically use the cloth diapers and put them in the hamper.
They did add two new events with this pack. One of them is a ranch animal day and with that you can have guests come over and play with and take care of your animals. The second event is the Ranch Gathering which has your sims invite guests over and the grill and enjoy the ranch. The reward for both these events is money to support the ranch. There are some cute bars in town that they could go to to meet folks on a night out. Also, you can travel with infants. There's even a miletone for their first trip to a park.

Love this series. And u don’t bore me with annoying rules
You could consider making them some neighbors to bring pies to and to befriend. 😊
Oh this is such a cute idea! They could run the general store! Although that would mean building one.
